just an old youtube channel that i sometimes put stuff on. i don't really have an active presence on social media and I don't make videos much. Comments aren't really read either. If I have the motivation I'll probably make something about Gabb but to be honest I'm a little tired of making videos.

- Camera is meh, fine for it's size but not good in comparison to most other smartphones
- I didn't like the texture of this phone, it annoyed me. This probably won't be an issue for most people

It won't happen. I offered to donate one but a dev told me that mediatek processors are notoriously hard to work on and it's not worth it. The manufacturers need to release the kernel or something.

anecdotally, i've had it for over a month, coming from an iphone 13 mini. my screen time was 6-8 hrs a day, and is now 1-2 hrs a day. there's definitely been a migration of that screen time from my phone to my laptop, but imo the time i spend on my laptop is typically more productive/educational than what i did on my phone. on a related note, a friend of mine spoke with someone who works at a screen time app company. that person said according to their user data, there's a strong correlation between larger device size and longer screen time - ie, the larger your device, the more likely you have longer screen times.

I may purchase the Jelly Star, which I look at as a modern recreation of Nokia's ASHA. But I wish someone made a 4.5" to 4,7" phone, similar to what Nokia used to make, but with smaller bezels and an Audio Jack, it's really all I want. Our choices today are 6,3" or 6;7" inches. I think the Jelly Max, is too big, and has no Jack, thanks to Apple's BS, and everyone following them.

Funny, I bought the Cat S22 just before I discovered the Jelly Star. I ended up returning the S22 once I received my Jelly Star. iirc the lack of Android Auto was a dealbreaker with the Cat S22 for me

That's fair. It's really enough for this phone. I didn't notice many performance issues other than when the phone was hot, connected to wireless android auto and trying to do stuff on the phone.

Yes, sometimes the audio bugs out though, you will need to take the headset off and put it back on again.

So wish I could do this on the phone I bought for my 11yo. Unfortunately gabb blocked almost all the features on the phone. Other than call and text the phone is basically a kid's toy phone. The gabb approved apps are a sick joke, Non of which are useful. No entertainment apps of any kind, even the so-called games are beyond pothetic... there's only 2. One is a math game 🤦🏻♂️ and the other...🤷🏻♂️ I don't know what it is. There's no entertainment section in their app "store". So no streaming video services or anything. If it atleast allowed video streaming it would be somewhat worth it. She can't even send gifs in texts to me.. I mean WTH? Seriously I'm paying almost the same amount for my phone on the same Verizon network with unlimited everything why they charging so much for basically a toddler's toy phone with calling and text? Without use of the other features and internet of any kind its practically a toy phone or paperweight. If anyone has any idea how to get the gabb 3 pro phone to work like a normal phone (in other words remove the gabb software holding the phone back) PLEASE TELL ME!?🙏🙏🙏 I mean if someone can hack the switch when it first came out and install windows surely someone can hack this phone to return it to its original normal function.
The gabb 3 pro phone is just a Samsung galaxy A13 4g phone. It is a good phone just being held back by their software.

So first of all, you probably just need to wait. The loading screen takes a *long* time. The proximity sensor trick is shown in the video, where you click on a setting in sidequest, so that you can take off the headset and wait for it to load.
open sidequest press the wrench icon at the top and click disable proximity sensore its like near the bottom

Need to keep waiting, or turn off usb debugging. If that doesn't work, you can try to clear cache or reinstall. It does take a *long* time. Just take the headset off after doing the proximity sensor trick and wait 20ish minutes and then come back.
Did you ever get this working? Curious how it's working in late 2024 here, since you can get a Q2 headset and strap for like $100 and that would be well worth it to play Fortnite on with an old Xbox controller
