After watching lots of videos on the same subject can confidently say nothing new is added? of what we all don't already know. 'This is a turd. I don't like it' buh bye
Can you do that in mobile?
First of all, thanks for this series. I really appreciate the "no-frills/straight to the point" approach. I only have one question. As I have an Rtx4090, can the AI apps you are presenting also use the GPU, or do I need to make changes to use the GPU? Thanks.
Some will auto use the GPU if it's detected. Others, we are using a parameter in the command that calls it, or sometimes even in the python file(s).setting things like torch to (cpu). Thank you for checking out this series, I'm glad you like it! 🙂 I might do another one with a GPU, but that would likely be on Windows as my host PC with my GPU is running Windows 11.
Good Bro
Fun fun. I use family members as custom icons lol
LoL, I love this!
Loving the series. However, can you include the shell commands in the description?
Thank you! I can try to include the commands. UA-cam will block specific characters though. I'm glad you're enjoying the series! 🙂
Is it possible to make windows to go using this methode?
Check out this video I made. This one shows you how to take a fully installed windows VM and boot it from a flash drive, take it anywhere. ua-cam.com/video/sCDRrSgLwfU/v-deo.html
I am following along with series -many thanks again. Will be installing this part of series tomorrow. Suggestions: AI music where you are able to remove the vocals from songs without affecting the quality of music? AI for Excel spreadsheets or any database? Keep up the great work you are doing.
Thanks for the feedback! I will look into these great suggestions. 🙂
Is the feature still here? I checked and theres no custom voice thingy
Very interesting video!!! Great job brother
What do you think about open source AI music and Sound Effects (SFX) ?
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
Of course, thanks for checking it out. 🙂

Hey, thanks for the straightforward tutorial. However, after restarting my PC and checking taskbar items, there was no copilot. I have win11 Home edition, 23h2. Do you have any suggestions for fixes? (other than insider programme)
@@roshan1273 I haven't tested with home. What build are you running?

@@roshan1273 Nice rig. But i was asking about the Windows build number. 🙂 23H2 has different build numbers.
@theit-unicorn1873 ahh haha, its 22631.4037. I was wondering why the cpu and gpu i had mattered 😂😂oops 😅
straightforward no BS perfect THANKS m8
Yo bro will you show your pc specs and can i use your steps to run local llm on old hardware about 5 years old
It's a vm with 8 virtual cpu cores and 16GB ram. You can run it on less though.
have a great work #softwarelegit
Will this work on Arch?
Yes.
It works but now utilman.exe vanished from system32 and the accesibilities doesnt work on login screen and disapeared from settings but I can login wich its fine at least. Would this will affected the system in a near future?
What specs does your PC have?
I'm running on a vm. The vm is setup with 16GB memory and 8 virtual CPU Cores
Nice. Is there a way to use it with Calibre Ebook reader?
Bro thanks so much for the shoutout and I may not be using Docker but Podman
Great set of videos, working my way though them at the moment, once small thing that would save you loads of work, you don't need to write the scripts or make the .desktop fine under mint, just go to the install directory, hold Ctrl+Shift and drag it to the desktop
Thank you for this series of videos, they are very relevant to me as they align with my interests and skill set. (I’m Currently learning to code python and struggling with cryptic linux commands). I did install Mint 22 as per your suggestion. But on bare metal with a 8GB Nvidia card. Struggled with installing the nvidia drivers and cuda, but after much retrying (thankyou timeshift) I got it working. However I realize you are concentrating on CPU only inference. I followed your videos, installed all those apps. I also installed Ollama, LMStudio and ShellGPT. From someone that struggles with cryptic linux commands in the terminal I found ShellGPT very useful.(but it uses an OpenAI API key). Still looking for an AI assistant to help me learn Python, If there is such a thing. You asked for suggestions, so here is my 2c worth. (I'm sure you have already thought of these). - How to use Coqui TTS with other apps (how to pipe output of LLM to Coqui)? Ollama (as you mentioned). LMStudio (or at least mention it as a alternate to Jan) Shell-GPT (or one on the many other alternatives as listed on the Ollama pages) Any coding assistants? (like copilot, plugins for VSCode or for other IDE’s) - Looking forward to more videos from you.
Very good feedback! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this up. I will take a look and see what I can incorporate and come up with. I do want to build an AI Halloween animatronic that uses TTS and an LLM to interact with trick or treaters, so perhaps that's a good opportunity. Regarding Linux cmds, you are not alone, lol. Have you heard of Warp Terminal, that might be an alternative to what you are using now. I did a quick video on Warp a while back. We can look at building an AI coding assistant, that sounds like a fun project as well. Not sure I'll include it in this series or not, but either way it sounds fun! 🙂. Thanks again for your support.
Hello, I am trying to follow along... but I am getting this error when installing insightface fatal error: Python.h: No such file or directory error: command '/usr/bin/x86_64-linux-gnu-g++' failed with exit code 1 ERROR: Failed to build wheel for insightface Any suggestions to fix this?
Are you running the venv under python v 3.10? I think I saw that error when using 3.12
Thanks, Love the step by step process so far for the AI series!!! [from the 3rd video so far.] I have installed it on PC, with one problem. I am not getting any responses with both models been indicated to install in guide. [That is for Llama 8B Q4 & Mistral Instruct 7B Q4] I went from Assistant to Model and then select each one of them on a PC with 16Gb RAM. The thread was a short " What is the meaning of the name Hildegard" - It failed and came up with the following message - Apologies, something’s amiss! Jan’s in beta. Access troubleshooting assistance now. I will try to follow the trouble shooting Assistance document. Step 1 Follow our troubleshooting guide for step-by-step solutions.
Have you tried a different question just to be sure it's not the query? I doubt it is, but worth a try to rule that out.
@@theit-unicorn1873 I have noticed that the model do startup after I type in the same query as you have type. Still no response. I did notice that when I go to the settings on the left bottom of screen - that both models is indicating "Inactive". I did try the startup there as well still no response for the same query.
@@theunismulder7119 any logs?
@@theunismulder7119 Getting the same thing, I have the same environment as in the video (linux mint vm with 8 cores, 16 gb ram). Getting an error when trying to activate the model (doesn't matter which model I try). the error is "cortex exited with code: null" and "Error: Load model failed with error TypeError: fetch failed."
Do you use a different solution for local TTS?
I like everything that can be work on CPU without the need for GPU I like Linux mint I like Jan AI I like Ollama and I use it on CPU I like your good channel and thanks for the good content.🌹🌹🌹 In fact, I am more interested on STT rather than TTS 😋 So I may be able to make orders and excution using only voice commands.. Glad I found you. Really cool idea for a baseline on a potentially much larger series. Hundreds of questions/ideas flowing through my head.
@@zeloguy Thanks! Stay tuned
Do NOT "upgrade" to Windows 11. It is spyware itself. Microsoft is looking to move Windows to a subscription base like they have Office. If you move to the new system, which lays the foundation for it, then when they enact it, it would be a scramble to try to get off of the system then before the subscription kicks in. At that time, they can cut off your access if you don't pay them the fees. That means files lost and "legally" held for ransom by them. The best bet is to move to a Linux system. Linux Mint would be the overall easiest for anyone using Windows to go to that isn't adept at tech. Personally, I use Fedora (takes a little more setup), and Garuda (good but I've had some issues from). Linux systems are FREE and have no requirements to stay connected at all times to Microsoft Servers to verify if you have the right to use the system. I love gaming and it works great here. (I'm typing this from my laptop that runs Garuda Linux). I also keep a Windows 10 on a virtual machine (easy to install). I only use it when I need a piece of software that there is no way to use nor alternative to on Linux. That keeps it separated from online threats and keeps that to a minimum.
Best video i have seen on installing MEDICAT. Very clear step by step. I have watch at-least 5 others including the one on Medicat site. Thanks for the excellent info and clear instructions. Enlarging the terminal screens especially helpful.
Thank you!
Does this run through pendrive as os without internet
You can run it from a USB and don't need internet. It's not really intended to be an everyday OS though. It's more of a rescue environment.
to having those tools for free is amazing. i am waiting to see if we can create video with digital avatars for free and locally this will be great. thanks for sharing the knowledge and keep it simple for everyone
I think that might be possible. I'll be looking into that as well soon. Thanks for checking out the video!
I'm in the process of switching to Linux - started a week ago - it's going to take some time. But, as of yet, I don't really see the reason to keep on using Windows...
If Linux has everything that you specifically need, I think it's a great choice.
Will you be looking at TensorFlow?
Perhaps down the road we will. I'll be honest, I only recently looked at TensorFlow, so I'll need to familiarize myself before trying to do a video on it. Any tips for a noob? Thanks!
I love this series of localized AI tools.
@@spyghetti thank you 😊 🙏
I think Image Generation on CPU only is amazing! What do you think?
Very interesting series so far. Is there a specific reason you have chosen Mint as your distro? Is there anything coming up in the series that is Mint specific?
@BrianCullen85 mainly the familiarity of Mint in the community. You could replicate this on most Debian based distros. Nothing Mint specific at the moment, but we will see. Thanks!
Would love to see a part of the series where you expand upon the speed and capabilities of these platforms by leveraging GPU acceleration.
Wow, nice vid! If I'm getting error "Your platform doesn't support hardware accelerated AV1 decoding." and I'm using AMD - I guess it will not work for me?
