Amana Radarange Microwave Oven model 7 circa 1976
Переглядів 8 тис.15 років тому
This is my 1976 model 7 Amana Radarange microwave oven. Still cooking after all these years which is a testament to the quality. This oven weighs a ton, well maybe 60 or 70 pounds and the door on it is like a bank vault, heavy and all chrome. This was the first Radarange model equipped with the then new Cookmatic power shift lever so you could adjust the temperature from low thru defrost to hig...

Royal Classic upright vacuum cleaner
Переглядів 55 тис.15 років тому
Love this vacuum, it's extremely powerful and does a wonderful job on carpet without being very noisy either. simple design, simple to use, extra extra long power cord, very bright headlight and a brushroll light much like on the Kirbys. Extra wide wheels make it very manouverable. and it has the "adjust-rite" button on front so you know when it's set to the right carpet height, neat.
Fairfax Fax-O-Matic vacuum cleaner

Picked up this Fairfax vacuum cleaner a few months ago. Love the R2D2 shape of it but for daily use it a little bit cumbersome. The external wiring for the power nozzle strapped to the hose is a nuisance as is having nowhere to wrap the power cord around. The power nozzle looks to be a made by Eureka clone and works well. This vacuum pulled about 90 on the suction test directly at the vac port ...

Here's my Oster Fusion blender I bought a month or so back. Normally I wouldn't buy a new blender but this one was intriguing because of it's reversing blades. Pip will be 9 months old in 4 days, May 27, 2009. I got out the tunnels and he's starting his agility training yesterday. He seems to enjoy it though he doesn't have the speed that Ben had even on his second day. He had no problem with the bigger tunnels but it took a bit of coaxing to get him through the red smaller tunnel the first couple of times. After that it was "old hat"

    I just purchased a Waring Blender Model 1216 from Ebay today and it looks identical to the one you have on the left. Am glad to know it was made in the 60s as I personally feel that the quality of American made small appliances started to decline in the 70s, however I could be wrong. I also love the fact that the 60s model is quieter than the 70s one which also points to the high quality blenders back then used to have. Cheers, and keep putting out these kind of comparison videos.

    In the 50s Kenwood/Sunrise gave these away with a milk powder subscription - for a time Kenwood was the biggest seller of milk powder in Canada because of that. If you keep the lubed and don't abuse them they will last forever.

    Actually it is nothing like a Kitchenaid other than the planetary action as the motor is in a different place and the Kenwood is much more flexible with its many more power offtakes and more powerful motor. The Kenwood is the mixer for a more serious cook.

    1957-1960. I just bought one with the juicer, metal bowl, plastic storage bowl (missing the lid), the whip, k blade and dough hook. Now to find the rest of the accessories that could be purchased. It will look wonderful beside my Ronson Foodmatic that I'm still hunting attachments for. Hope you still have your machine. It is a lovely example.

Runs fine but is VERY noisy...as has been my experience with Braun food processors & juicer (1980s). These units are easy to come by in Canada on Kijiji ...$25 XoXo

      Open the gearbox to check the gears - But I wouldn't be surprised that the problem is electric. I have both an 700D and a 701A and both have motor speed issues, one only runs half speed, the other smokes when running, they both need a complete motor overhaul, which isn't for the faint of hart as the motor, governor, resistor and capacitor can't be accessed without a complete dismantle.

    Cool machine. I am looking for a vintage Oster blender and thought I'd see if anyone on YT had made videos of their machine. Glad you did. I was looking for one that could make smoothies. Hoping to find a nice 514 model rated at 780 watts. I just saw a nice Cyclomatic version rated at 825 watts. I was curious as to how the pulse-matic or cyclomatic works. Thanks for providing a nice video on that.

    Electrolux Canada's Model AP280 was manufactured from 1979-82. The 'AP' denoted the fact that the cleaner was 'all plastic' The power nozzle is PN-280, Other cleaners in the color set were the Model SAP ('Special AP'), the Model 1453 Olympia II (metal), Model 1428 Trivac, and the Model B28 shampooer/polisher. If you're a chocolate lover it's your line!

  • @craigl1838
    @craigl1838 7 років тому

    The Canadian Electrolux Model 2100 System 90 (see the inside cover for specs) and its model PN6A power nozzle was manufactured with the sand & taupe color scheme from 1987-88 (the US company's cleaners had the same color scheme at that time). It was the last of the exclusive Canadian line; the plants closed shortly after and all production moved to the USA as a result of NAFTA. The same-colored Model 2101 Shampooer/Polisher would complete your set.

    Looks like a Model 1151 in flamingo orange & seal griege--light, medium, & deep--from 1967-68. Very effective cleaner.

  • @craigl1838
    @craigl1838 8 років тому

    The taupe & sand-colored Model 2100 "System 90" was the last of the uniquely-labeled Canadian Electroluxes produced from 1987-88, although it was quite similar to the US's concurrent taupe & sand colored "2100". Afterward, the Canadian plants were closed as a result of NAFTA, and operations were moved to the USA. The former AB Electrolux subsidiaries in Canada & the US had merged in 1985, so shared resources had already been in place. Sometime later, the US labeled one of its Model 1623 cleaners as "Model 90", so one wonders what the significance of '90' was. Other taupe & sand colored-cleaners in the 1987-88 Canadian line were: the Model 1623 "L-E" economy tank cleaner, the Model 1572E "Discovery III" upright cleaner, the Model CB2000 commercial canister, and the Model 2101 triple brush shampooer/polisher.
