Two regular people who love so many off grid and self sufficient experiences, but can't go off grid full time,....yet. We also have some shorter videos and pictures of our adventures @halfassoffgrid. Dutch Oven Lasagna

Big changes at our Off Grid Property!

We made some big changes to our off grid property. We rented a mini excavator and expanded the "yard" area for the cabin. The overburden we removed was pushed over the edge and used to solve some drainage issues we have had for a couple years. In this video my wife and I put a new deck off the back of our off grid cabin, during a thunderstorm! My wife made a batch of Morel and Wild Tuekey sausage soup. We spent the day looking for wild mushrooms. This hearty soup was definately a great finish to a successful day of foraging in the woods of North Idaho.

This video shows a little detour I took on the way home from the Cabin. I swung into Freeman Lake for some fishing on my one man pontoon boat. It turned out to be a pretty good detour. I wasn't there very long, watch the video and see how I did! Find your Balance!
