Saw Headpins with Toronto in Timmins Ontario, great music

Just saw the Headpins in Penticton, they opened for Foreigner. Their lead singer did an excellent job, and we could feel the music beat while sitting in our seats. It was loud and impressive. But I am so glad I googled Darby Mills and discovered Taylor James. Darby Mills is amazing in so many ways.

Great band,who is she?

Where did she come from? I'm not familiar with her, but she's very talented and has some gravel in her voice when she needs it.

I was a kid in the 1970's and this was one of my favourite songs. I used to try and record it off the radio (CKLG or CFUN) on the cassette player I signed out of the elementary school library. They were a great band. When I was learning to play guitar, this was one of the first songs I tried to learn (gave up on the solo). This version actually gave me shivers. Excellent. It must have been amazing for the band to play it so well. His vocals here are really great and so are his guitar chops.

Fantastic performance I have it on regular rotation...it's one of my faves. It should be mentioned the production value is incredible, kudos to whomever had a hand in it. It's amazing an independent creator hands the legacy media their a**es no wonder they need billions of infusion money to stay in biz and yet still can't match it.

I didn't know I felt like this until I played the song. It's obvious what a fun gig this was for all involved. The song is fun to play, it has such great hooks, piano echo back, good tandem lead breaks, and playing with Darby who seems to be having a blast getting to sing her song again. Simplicity done well. Great job.

I only found The Taylor James Show when looking for information about Bill Henderson. This is the second episode I've watched. LOVE IT! Wish I'd been aware of it when it was first recorded. I saw Valdy years ago at the family/children's festival in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. My sister attended one of his shows and he joined her and her friends at their table during a break. She says he's as wonderful a human being as demonstrated by this interview. Taylor, thanks for interviewing Valdy and all of the other musicians you have met and shared with us.
