    Epic Fred do you have videos of how to change oil in the EMD engine?

    • @epicfred
      @epicfred 2 місяці тому

      I don’t have a video, but for big engines like that you just pump the old oil out of the sump and pump new oil into it. Usually the same oil transfer pump is used for both operations.

    Dude. Thats one of those domino effect catastrophes like the El Faro or Deepwater Horizon. It started with a bunch of small things like dead or dying batteries on the e-gen, emergency steering not being tested, not properly going through the departure checks, not having a second generator online when transiting congested water ways, etc, etc. One domino fell and the rest followed, ending with a bridge. Im patiently waiting for the NTSB report.

    Way to go!!! It will take 10,000 of years for the brain washed world to finally realize that all of the restrictions and "Saving the planet" was a complete hoax by corporates to crate an artificial money grab at taxer's expense. One single volcanic eruption is equivalent to 30 years of human induced CO2.

    John 14:6 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 3:7 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Romans 3:23 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Job 12:7-9 7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: 8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. 9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this? Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. JOHN 3:18 “He that believeth in Him is not condemned; but He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

    Hellow How do i know it is not working properly? My D399 is not starting its an air starter

    • @epicfred
      @epicfred Рік тому

      1-Make sure the main air valve is open. 2-Maks sure the starter isn't stuck, there are no broken vanes in it, broken bearings etc. Rotate it by hand to check. 2- check if the air solenoid is functioning. Disconnect the air output line from it and see if air comes out when you manually accurate it. 3- reconnect the line from the air solenoid and accurate it by hand to see if the starter runs. If the starter runs when you accurate the solenoid by hand then you have an electrical issue, a pre lube lockout or something like that. If the starter does not run when you accurate the solenoid then you have an issue with the air relay. You can bypass it with a 1 1/2 inch ball valve if you need to start the engine in a pinch.

    Look into the disablity market. Over the years I,ve bought doozens of cheap ones. Would need some kind of clip to clip it to. Maybe talk to Zack from Jerry rig everything it might go well with his wheelchair

    • @epicfred
      @epicfred Рік тому

      My thoughts are that the disability market is well taken car of in the terms of grabbers. There are tons of them for sale and they are all really cheap. And people use them to great success all the time when grabbing little things around their house. Where this (at least in my experience) doesn't translate well, is when these light duty implements are brought into shops, ships, factories, etcetera. I've worked in those environments and would try to pick up things that are over one pound, covered in oil or grease, apply torsional loads in an attempt to open a valve or something like that; and the disability grabbers failed most of the time. I would certainly sell one to someone who is disabled and wants one, but I designed it to be used in an industrial setting.

    It needs a way to rotate the jaws 90 degrees too,

    • @epicfred
      @epicfred Рік тому

      You actually can already do that with these. You have to loosen the set screws on the jaw body piece and you can rotate it up to 90 and even slightly past before anything binds up.

    I was going to have my employer buy four of 'em but at the price I'll have to just get one for personal use. If it works well then maybe we'll replace the junky ones you get from the usual suspects.

    • @epicfred
      @epicfred Рік тому

      I honestly didn’t think i would sell more than a handful a month, so I priced them accordingly to keep the project going. If this gains more traction then I will be able to tool ip in a more substantial way and greatly bring prices down. If that happens i’ll offer rebates or something like that to the people that were first to buy them. That said, email me. If you’re serious about a small bulk order I can work with you on price.
