I mean, hunters shouldn't be doing half of this DPS compared to the original Vanilla. Even with all the gear, a hunter can kill me in 3 seconds if he is standing still (you know, with Aimed Shot). My point is that every class has received significant buffs, and Warlocks have always been top-tier in open-world PvP. Skill comes into play when using Drain Life. It has a 15-second cooldown now, and if I fail to use it correctly, I'm dead (a hunter can remove it by running out of sight). Additionally, there was no way I could beat them without a Free Action Potion (FAP).

I had most of my 1v1 fights with hunters, and they need special treatment. For example, my pet should never run in front of me, or it will die quickly, and I'll be dead within seconds after that. I know hunters very well here, and trust me, you need skill to defeat a skilled hunter like "Maboy" you see in this video. I've seen many Warlocks die at his hands, including myself, but I have learned how to beat hunters now.

I mean, Hunter's Lone Wolf or traps, Paladin bubble, Rogue's stealth or burst, Spriest dots, and Warlock doesn't even have a single burst spell. You could say it's OP before P4, but at the moment, it's not even close to being OP. It can't even handle most classes' damage. Without FAP, I was dead in 2 seconds

Cry more. My rogue ambushes and backstab people dead in 2 or 3 globals but muh drain life

Hey, thank you for the comment. To be honest, I couldn't make Frost Healer work perfectly the way raids ask for it. The thing is that people either want DPS or healing, and Frost Healer is not very good at either. It lacks good AoE healing, and the big DPS doesn't translate into big heals, sadly (I wish it did). To be honest, Frost Healer can only be useful if your raid needs Winter's Chill and there is no Frost Mage. For talents, you have unlimited options, I believe. You can use Frozen Orb for very strong AoE and an almost instant Winter's Chill effect, or go with Arcane Barrage and act as an Arcane Mage, among other things.

@TheRatchetGoblin Have you messed around with frozen orb yet? It's pretty gamechanging and procs brain freeze constantly which can be used for free/instant spellfrost bolts. For non bosses you can probably get away with just spot heals. For bosses I imagine you could do a rotation of frost orb first 15 seconds. Icy veins to cover from 15-35 seconds. Normal dps until frost orb is back and run that from 45-60 seconds. Use cold snap and do that rotation again and you've got a solid 2 minutes dps/heals. Of course making sure to get some regens out for your temporal beacon.

​@@Fkrbrny8 Yeah, I love Frozen Orb and its constant proc for Brain Freeze, especially in dungeons. The biggest issue I've found is that if you take Icy Veins, you won't have AoE healing anymore. My healing with Mass Regeneration (Temporal Beacon for the group) is just insane, and I can't replace it with anything else. But you might be right, for 1-3 targets, Frost Healer could actually work, though there's no way it can be as good as Arcane. (More DPS on Frost, of course.). also, Arcane Barrage is way more powerful than I expected, it's basically instant healing all the time.

Sadly, I don't have a rogue in SoD. I used a PTR one in this video. Wish I had one, to be honest, hehe.

You are right, they will. Also, in the latest Blizzard update, Hot Streak won't consume mana either, which will help a lot.

To be honest, it makes sense to use BFB now since FFB was recently nerfed. However, it still has a 100% more crit damage bonus, which is huge, and you will have 5% less crit chance all the time with FFB Rune. This means FFB crits can do a lot more damage than BFB. I haven't tested that build, to be honest, but I think Living Bomb is still worth using when you are moving since it's like free damage.

Thank you for the comment. That talent is quite useful, especially in Molten Core where bosses have high fire resistance. Even a small chance to bypass their resistance is valuable, in my opinion. Another reason is that I don't find anything more useful in Frost with only two talent points available.

It does; it’s just that Frostfire Bolt doesn't consume a lot of mana.

In the latest update, Blizzard has nerfed Frostfire Bolt (reducing its damage) and buffed Hot Streak instead (it no longer costs mana). In my opinion, Fire beats Frost and Arcane on bosses that don't have high fire resistance. However, if a fight lasts long, Fire will definitely go out of Mana anyways.

I believe Frost will be a better pick in Molten Core because of the 10% increased crit chance from Winter's Chill and Boss's high fire resistance.

For bosses with high fire resistance or immunity to fire, Frost Mages definitely perform better.

You are right; they didn't make any new statements. For bosses that aren't immune, this build works well because fire mages use Frostfire Bolt in SOD. Frostfire Bolt acts as both fire and frost damage, choosing based on the boss's resistance. Fire talent picks will also make Frostfire Bolt more powerful since there isn't much useful stuff in the arcane talent tree for it. The only issue is that for immune bosses, you can only spam Frostfire Bolt since Ignite, Overheat, and Hot Streak will be useless. For those situations, a frost talent build with some fire picks can actually be more useful.

hunter does it a lot faster at 50 :D literally 4 mins a run, kill phase takes only 2-3 mins :P

@@TheRatchetGoblin 2m 29 sec with consumables with basically no gear. alot of more survivability while u go into GY. mage is just so much better skill issue smells like. + on hunter u cant pull scarabs

@@laurivaltterTrue, I have a Mage as well, but I can still kill zombies a lot faster as a Hunter. Almost no skill is needed too (Feign Death, hehe).

I didn't take it because I'm not using it at all at the moment. The way I discovered it works is like a spell. If you're at a lower level, you're likely to miss all the time (unless you are too far and out of line of sight). When you're at a higher level, it almost never fails as well.

Definitely still playing SoD over other forms of WoW. Still a lot to do in p3, just need to find it. Yeah, I love SOD as well, and the most fun raids are still on the way, but still kinda disappointed about views. I was really excited about Frost healer myself, hehe. For Mana, it's slightly higher mana usage compared to arcane, but if we're going to use Evocation in the fight, no issues at all. Thank you, and I'm glad you liked it.

I had slightly more drops but managed to sell them for 70g, which was decent. But in general, I believe you are right, as there are already a lot more spots with higher GPH, so it's not worth it if Essence of Air is not expensive.

Yeah, I think like you as well. I'm making a video about it too. But there are some downsides, like many people will stack a huge amount of cured rugged leather like myself, so we may have issues if Blizzard introduces a new way to get pre-BiS items like in Phase 3 (it literally made so many profession crafts and BOEs useless).

To be honest, after what Blizzard did to the SOD market in Phase 3, I wouldn't buy a golden pearl for 30g. However, since there isn't an actual decent Golden Pearl Farm in Classic WoW, it could still be worth the investment.

Haha, I totally get where you're coming from. I've been through similar mishaps myself, although my prior experience with my mage helped me grasp it a bit quicker. But you're absolutely right, reaching level 42 seems to make soloing it three times easier, even for skilled players. Hang in there, you'll nail it soon!

Yeah, I took a look at those. Actually, if you run a raid and reserve BOEs, it's probably the best strategy. The issue with these items is that their prices will drop very quickly.

Yeah, I understand. Generally, for anyone new here, it's best to reach at least level 42-43 so you can actually use 'Feign Death'. It's great that you found your own way to do it! 😄
