If I don't throw up... That was the time I used to hear older women in my family say when they were cooking. It does not sound appealing at all-trust me-but what it means is the food is going to be so good you're going to over indulge and eat so much till you get sick and throw up. I have no idea if that's an old school southern term or not but I know the woman in my family are from Georgia.

I suggest keeping them on medium heat or a low boil (simmer). It's already smoked so bringing it to a boil then simmering it just allows the meat to rehydrate and heat up where it's tender and/or falls off the bone (if you cook it long enough).

Bring out the flavor more with the salt? REALLY??????? And not even sea or himalayan salt. That disgusting, bad for you, MORTON'S is the worst for your body. And you wonder why black folk (and folks in the south period) have high blood pressure, bad cholesterol, heart issues, diabetes etc. Heck, the freggin turkey tails, (as delicious as they are), ALONE are full of fat, cholesterol and salty AF! And on top of that, you used WAY too much of that bad salt. SMH.

Hi Nikky thanks for the comment! In the ingredients it list to use 4 cups of water, add the sauteed onions, peppers, seasonings, and tails. Let the tails boil until tender. After the tails are done, use 2 cups on the broth from the turkey tails and 1 cup rice. Cover the rice bring to a boil, lower the heat to simmer, and cook for 20 minutes. Let me know if you have any other questions! Enjoy! ☺☺
