Just a quick peek at what the guys at BOOSTane have up their sleeves this coming year!!
what problem in the fuel does boostane correct? Can you prove it? is it documented ? or is this just more MMT snakeoil?
Don’t lie MMT is the cause of the orange residue which yours has fuck outta here with that bs
First Comment! Thanks for all you do for the Automotive industry Ian.
People seem to think an octane booster will give their standard engine more power. I use octane booster because my high compression sprint engine wont run properly on pump fuel, it knocks so bad it sounds like the big end is on it's way out. Octane booster lets me rev it right out with no knocking. The tin alloy catalyst blocks do absolutely nothing though.
Exactly.. this stuff is only Made for engines that have high compression and are tuned to run 95+ octane. Or for cars with variable/adaptive timing. Lots of fords use this. Mustangs are the most popular on. Mustangs can add 8-10 degrees of timing from 91/93 octane to 97-99 octane. Gen 3 mustangs agave crazy high compression ratios and love high octane fuel as they can use it to add timing and not knock. Stock they get knock and lower timing and then it stays there
Run a bottle of boostane then check your plugs. They’ll be orange. 😂 save your money for actual mods not “horsepower” in a bottle.
I dont undertant this test. I have used torso . Is verry expensive but is the only one for me with great powerful my car.
Can it be added in Avgas to replace race fuel?
Lies
??? I thought torco was light sensitive. So is it boostane that is light sensitive?
False, Boostane turned my teeth orange
Can this octanebooster be used for long periods? long ago after only two bottles of another octanebooster I had to change the spark plugs.
I looking for booster without MMT
Let us know when you find it lol… this is the only way to have a product that works. Buy boostane as it’s the only one that doesn’t accumulate if you let it sit.
The video mentioned that some of the additives settles at the bottom so I'm wondering you put this in your tank repeatedly, eventually over time that sediments builds up and if you run your car close to empty on occasion, it'll just suck up that crap and coat your plugs. So if you do use this stuff, maybe don't let it run below 1/8 - 1/4 tank and maybe flushing out your fuel tank from time to time would prevent this from occurring? I"m no expert just thought this might be a potential reason and would like to get other's opinion.
With competitions this is exactly what happens. That’s why boostane made their own.
Thank you Honda
if only use 2-3 tanks a year, should one be worried ? or no big deal or just avoid it and run 94 octane in my Stinger for max. performance at the drag strip ? I haven't used any yet and iffy on it
Boostane is good. When you are not running boostane run mmo to keep the plugs cleaned
I just seen a video of a guy with boostane had full orange spark plugs after just 3 tanks. 🤷♂️
Boostane is the worst 😂 "not turning orange" my ass
OK......yes.........the real question is what is plug like on a turbo car like a GTR ............what is the life of an oxy. sensor.....Can these be cleaned by run 2x tanks of 100 octane gas ???
This doesn’t do anything to o2 sensors. Plugs it cuts the life in half same as running race gas or e85.. 15-20k change plugs vs most are 30-35k To change plugs stock. 100 octane creates the same orange residue.. race fuel has MMT in it lol.. unless your using a shitty leaded race fuel and if you are that uses lead of course which coats the plugs in silver instead of orange. Pull a plug on an engine running 116 and look how weird the plugs look. They are bronze or orange
got the initials right BS Boo Stane.
Incorrect. Boostane as well leaves orange residue.
Absolute fact. This is because it contains MMT.
Watch the video and he says that in the beginning. The orange does nothing. It is the same as having a little black build up like a regular car dumbass. The difference is boostane doesn’t get that shit concentrated on the end of the plug like octanium or torco.. you don’t and won’t foul plugs or anything liek that with boostane. After 10 tanks of octane boosters of boostane pull the plugs and you will see orange but the top looks perfect. Do the same with competitors and you will want to change your plugs as the whole end is built up and gross and the car is already probably not working correctly or idling. Our dyno shop uses it all the time and we have cars with 80k miles using boostane and they run perfect still
what a stupid test! mmt concentration in fluid . Orange plugs. contaminated catalytic converter
Guys let me know your thoughts, I used Torco and all of my plugs turned orange? So there goes my plug life? Also I had issues starting my car and my gas mileage went for a shit? What the hell happened? Did I hurt anything internally and will my plugs go back to normal if I quit using booster and just stick to premium unleaded? Not happy about using booster.................
You're creating high octane it burns alot faster... my old rocket I could go a long ways on a tank of gas but when I ran race fuel I'd make it maybe 60 miles or so and exhaust tip/carbon would turn white
yeah, it's not worth it is it? it can also clog your cats.
Thoughts? I've used too much octane booster with MMT in it and it turned all of my plugs orange? I'm assuming the top of the pistons and the bottom of the valves too, all orange. Let me know if I can just run premium unleaded here in CA and will this shit all burn off?? Or did I harm my motor??
That is manganese and magnesium and if you flake it off your plugs and it feels gritty, what do you think it does to your cylinder walls? Yes your whole combustion chamber is now contaminated with grit. Just stop using it and let it clean up or use a product without magnesium and manganese to increase octane. I've had people tell me that the grit is a different compound and won't hurt your cylinders. I told them that I don't care what it is, if I can flake it off and it is gritty, then I don't want it in my cylinders. (But it is manganese and magnesium)
@@thegrmcrckr488 Is there any way to clean that orange residue by using proper gas or any detergents? Thanks for your help.
Wrong.. using regular gas causes black Build up.. boostane it’s orange ish. Peel either off and they feel the same. This guy telling you this is an idiot. It’s like adding a ceretec like product in your oil. It costs everything in similar chemicals. Use the right amount. Once a year run a tank of 110 if your scared and that will burn off some of the orange on anything. It will cause an excessive yellowish orange color also though afterwards. Everything that burns has a residue.. race gas is yellow or orange, regular gas is black, e95 is yellowish also. Boostane is orange.
Octane boosters have either some mmt or lead to raise there octane
Pardon my ignorance, what's MMT?
Torco FTW...tested and proved
Hell yeah, torco rocks and is all that we use in my Challenger SRT8. They are consistent and produce anything from hand sanitizer to 118 leaded/unleaded racing gas to nitromethane for funny cars and even make rocket fule
should I be concerned that boostane is why my Check Engine light came on stead on my 4000 miles Porsche 992 (911) that I am running "shots" in every 16 gallon fill up? Does it have an effect on the O2 Sensor?
Probably because of the manganese and magnesium buildup on your O2 sensors. I would not use anything that causes a buildup like that. Pull your O2 sensor and see the reddish residue that boosters leave behind. Take the residue off and feel how gritty it is. That is not good for your cylinders and will cause significant amounts of wear.
100% it is not causing this. It doesn’t build up like competitors. We run it in our brand new Mclaren lol.. they are known to have the most sensitive sensors and computer in the world lol..
You guys should do boostane vs VP Racing octanium.. would be very interesting to see how it does
I think VP haves led additives, not for cars with catalytic converters. I also believe that boostane helps clean out the catalytic converter.
@@danielzuniga4131VP has an unleaded Octanium now
This product is flammable ?
naa...only causes cancer
I used this stuff for like two months already change my spark plugs twice blah blah blah blah video is full of shit
I've been researching octane boosters. I am in a no corn zone and I always thought "that aisle" of the auto store was nonsense, but then read some positive reviews of a couple of products on Subie groups.... but performance Subies aren't exactly known to be long living cars, especially when you start to push them, so I don't think they are the best source of valid info on the long term effects. Now I read about MMT and fouled this and that. Just curious: what part of the snake are these suspension emulsifier chemicals made from?
Great question. Would love answers from these guys and VP racing
I honestly have ORANGE on mine I had misfires all cylinder under wot until they been replaced all is peachy
What did you do about the orange plugs? I too have orange plugs after using too much octane booster. Wondering if I can just run premium unleaded and burn that shit off? Thoughts?
@@monstergreen6728 I’m honestly not sure if will come off. Me I ended up changing my cars set up run e85 now. But I would just keep a eye on them and buy spares just as a just in case. Unless your car is knocking then I say change now.
@@GR_Papi how many times did u use it for that to happen ?
@@youngrios 4 to 6 months or so I was using boostane professional.
@@youngrios less then 15k miles before I seen orange and eventually went a different route with the car
*Why do you need a cartoonist for this ad? Just show us the results.*
Well I have been using this product for the last three weeks my spark plugs are completely brownish ..,
I have tried many octane boosters, non of them worked, can I expect Boostane to be any different?
TheHalloweenmasks It works I’m not going to lie it does but you definitely will need to change your spark plugs eventually I had to change mine twice . running it in a boosted application car fox mustang 10 pounds of boost I can feel a little something something but not as good as race gas I use 109VP and 105 I believe it was Sunoco definitely better than a little additive Bottle
My friend pulled his spark plugs and he uses bustane. Guess what? Orange...
Carbon Build UP is a problem too
Mine ORANGE too 🤔
Spar plugs where completely orange 🍊. stick with race fuel ⛽️
16k views on this vid...thousands more all over UA-cam.... not one test shows anything that’s advertised unless it’s sponsored content with heavily edited video...You guys probably should’ve read that link you posted a little better...This test shows your product is inferior compared to the competitors 😂😂🤣🤣
All balah balah
Yeah I’m pretty sure boostane also leaves the orange residue… it’s been seen by users on UA-cam
So is this safe to use every tank? Will it eventually build in catalitic converters? Will we have to change plugs early?
MMT will not clog your CATS.... I use it and I mix it to 103 octane to increase performance in my daily drive 06 Mustang some performance add ons
dustingaldeano it does clog catalytic converter, my exhaust broke off so i had to replace it and that’s when i realize that it was plugged. However it only plugged the holes close to the outer, the core of the catalytic converter was not plugged at all. But weirdly when I touched the holes where it was plugged and smeared it I noticed that I plugged more holes just by doing that.
Klotz does not contain MMT either.
It contains lead
Has lead though

This crap contains MMT. Coat your plugs and combustion chamber orange. Stick with real deal race gas. Octane boosters are a band aid
That's OK, the orange is what give you the more power..
I hope you did your research all racing gas has MMT
maximus vonce race gas does the same thing. Boostane doesn’t leave the plugs orange like other boosters.
@@123nova87 First hand proof? I mean have you seen the plugs after running it awhile?
Steven Kaspick yea I use it all the time. Does not leave the orange residue.
This crap contains MMT. Coat your plugs and combustion chamber orange. Stick with real deal race. Octane boosters are a band aid.
maximus vonce 💯% right my man
I didn't understand
WAS THAT TORCO?
NO IT WASNT
OR WAS IT?
You guys suck
Well first off your fuel system is not exposed to uv light. Plus when it's added to the fuel its diluted down and mixed into the fuel. I see the discoloration as a break down of the product. That seams much worse to me on the boostane vs the torco.
Agreed il stick to my torco
The torco had phase separation. At the torco tube look at the bottom of it at the end
Cars are in constant motion so its getting mixed anyways even if you let it sit for a day then come back out and drive it again your gas gets moved around. I guess its good for folks who let their car sit with gas in it...use Boostane.
+jocktheglide You are correct! When the vehicle is in motion and as long is ti stays in motion, you won't have to worry about it settling out. However, as you can see in the test, it doesn't take a full day for the competition to being coagulating and settling out of suspension. Once this happens, you need to vigorously shake their product in order to somewhat mix it back in. Yes, their is product out there that works, but if you don't want to have to worry, ever, about your fuel stability, there is currently only 1 technology out there that does that.
So then, does the average fluid agitation of fuel in a car re-mix the MMT that settles out of suspension overnight? I think yes, it would. I base this on the fact that settling occurs evenly over the bottom of the tank. With no baffles, fuel 'sloshes' so it mixes fairly aggressively. So even under normal driving conditions dispersed MMT re-mixes. To wit, just imagine how a layer of dust would move off a piece of poly, even if you shook it gently. Then, imagine doing that for 10, 5, even 2 minutes and you have an idea of what it's like in average fuel tank. Although the amount of fuel in the tank would certainly make a difference. Less fuel obviously would contribute to more 'sloshing' and agitation. Also, let's not forget that many performance vehicles use return type fuel systems which would also contribute to the mixing of settled MMT. Long story short, Boostane, good job on eliminating a variable which could negatively impact performance. However, I don't know that it would be a major impact on my decision to use a product. How about a comment on the contents of your formulation and how it makes it different from other additives :) PS: congrats on the SEMA award as well
oh great a music video!!!
