There's sooooo much more going on than even whats spoken about here. There's no such thing as a "Behringer manufacturing facility." They all come out of the same mega-cities in China. A Behringer costs the same to build as a Oberheim or Dave Smith which is why Behringer profits off $400 synths and Music Tribe has boutique builders in a rage. That's also why you can buy a Nord Stage 4 right now for $400 and a genuine Nord will arrive on your doorstep 2 months later. This rabbit hole goes very VERY deep. I discovered this first hand recently from the horses mouth.

IF you are going to be critical of what I say in this video, remember, this is MY best recollection, not yours. #1 I’m not risking getting sued over UA-cam, I'm much much closer to the scene than most anyone, so keep that in mind. Understand that I've been sitting on how I've felt regarding many of my experiences as a musician on UA-cam (mainly with companies) Many of the choices to move further away from "synth" content and more into story stuff stemmed from certain first hand interactions. So I'm trying to protect myself while offering you insight that I think people are in search of. Ultimately, these are "subjective opinions".

The Behringer BX1 looks pretty interesting. Combination of a DX1 and CS80. I like the mashup of very cool parts of each of these classic synths into one. DX1 sound engine and I believe 32 CS80 filters. Never wanted a DX1 as a TX816 would give me so much more in so much less space, but a smaller lighter weight poly aftertouch board with CS80 filters and DX1 FM engine sounds like new creative potential. Also, the Donner L1 Essential with keyboard (SH1 clone) looks and sounds pretty fabulous. SSL18 and Alpha 8 32-bit interface looks pretty cool and is the perfect expander for my SSL Big Six. Again Behringer with the JT16 16 voice Jupiter 8 clone as well. I used to have a Kurzweil K-2600AES and their new 2088 and 2061 updating and new components with the VAST synthesis engine and backward compatible sound loading sound promising. And the Heritage Audio Synth Buddy which is a 10 synth version of Franklin Audios 6 channel switchable desktop micro-mixer looks very helpful.

In regards to what you were saying about the sensationalist trend in synthtubing, as a viewer, I don't subscribe to a lot of the 3rd and 4th wave of synthtubers because I don't like the kind of content people make anymore. In the early days, people like Jexus made really interesting videos simply demoing synthesizers. I got to learn a lot about what each piece of gear was capable in the hands of an experienced user. The second wave of creators, people like yourself, RMR, and Benn Jordan, made more polished and produced videos that aimed to both educate and editorialize their experience with gear. In the current synthtube culture, there's this views-driven motive in which the content creator is trying to fully capitalize on their videos rather than actually provide meaningful content. I don't want constant drama in my synthtube videos. I want to watch talented, knowledgeable, and creative people show me how and why a piece of gear is great or terrible.

I really doubt Scott made up the harassment etc … Also, His quit video has 71k views. But one of his vids from 6 months ago has 82k views. And he has other vids with 10s of thousands of views. Yes, he very much got the wrong end of the stick, and came in rather brash with the ‘breaking news’ … I think he is more embarrassed about that, than anything. But I also know of/could name some real cretins in our community who have harassed older, ‘softer’ targets who are synth enthusiasts … they are definitely around, and they are the type that would jump at the opportunity to attack a well-meaning guy like Scott … a bunch of them are probably very envious of Scott, tbh …

They must be without marketing people, that they post these clips without having a few UA-cam people makeing their videos about the machine. This looks like a stupid edm drummer just because of this ad. But they commented on me that it is also capable of polished and clean drums. We will see.
