Blanche's Fat daughter

The girls are surprised at how fat Blanche's model daughter is.
1:11 😢❤😢❤😢 this is true action in reality
I don’t know what her poor daughter ever saw in that piece of sidewalk shit.
Thanks for showing this show longer for us to enjoyed,❤❤😅😅
I used to watch The Golden Girls. It was very special and nostalgic
So it was okay for the ladies to joke about her weight but when the guy does it, he’s an asshole?
Fat back then is skinny nowadays lol
Rebecca (Becky): Hi! Sophia: Your Blanche's daughter the model. She turns around with a clueless look on her face and asked "What did she model, car covers?" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I honestly don't understand how Blanche takes this so well. If somebody said those sorts of things about my daughter in front of my face, I'd be way angrier than Dorothy.
Becky was a gorgeous 😍 lady with a few extra pounds but l think 🤔 if l got to meet her her weight wouldn't bother me due to beautiful 😍 looks! 😅
Yeah SHAWN SCHEPPS!! She was smoking hot here!!!!
This episode is disgusting. That girl was fat shamed and emotionally abused by her fiancé and Sophia’s character added insult to injury. She tried reconnecting with her mom only to get downgraded even more by an old hag.
Thing is, I watched this at the time and did not think much of it, but this definitely did not age well. I am really no goodie two shoes for comedy but these are just cruel jokes.....
“What did she model, car covers?” 😂😂😂
Honestly is definitely overrated.
This episode is not about fat shaming at all. Listen to the dialogue between Blanche and her daughter. Her daughter tells her Momma Blanche that no matter what she did, she was never good enough for her Momma, Blanche. And that's what the episode is really about! Not about fat shaming at all. These shows in the 70s had a purpose and a message. These shows weren't slapstick. They had a message and a moral to the story. Like other shows of that time. Like Archie Bunker, there was a message to that show. All we get on TV today are news programs that drone on and on about politics, then we get the sports, not so bad but too much of it, then we get ads about all the drugs Big Pharma is currently pushing on us. And for this TV, we pay thru the nose. TV was free fifty years ago and we had much better shows on .
Sophia spews venom , not saliva - that was brutal 😂😂😂😂
That poor actress having everyone paying out on her the whole episode. But it is interesting seeing what you could do back then but couldn’t today. Can you imagine the backlash.
Look at these comments. People are afriad to say "Fat". Big and heavy set..its fat. We lal know its fat
" this couls take several hours" 😂😂
I don't like to laugh or make fun of fat people but what Sophia said was funny.😂😂😂
From my perspective, Rebecca is a hot fox. I just wish she gave it back to Sophia twice as hard as Sophia dished it out.
Overall this is a really good episode, but even back then when folks like to claim we weren’t so sensitive, it bothered me that Sophia was making numerous fat jokes in front of someone she just met. Yet the moment her fiancé did the same thing, suddenly it wasn’t funny anymore. Still love the episode, I just felt that was a flaw in the writing.
Sophia was a beast in this episode 😂
🌹 Rebecca is a very pretty girl & l wonder where this actress is today ❤ l had that same outfit in the 80s & she looks better than l did in it. 🦋 We are in the times of the 600 # Life Show & Rebecca looks GOOD!! ⭐
Sophia can't help it. She had a stroke which makes her that way.
Listen to the gasps and quick chuckles upon the entrance of Blanche's daughter in the "then" live studio audience😮
Asshole: Becky is the biggest everything... Dorothy: not everything. I love how Bea said what we were all thinking. Obesity can be cured. Fat can melt off if we work at it. But a man who is an asshole and a coward, will ALWAYS be an asshole and a coward.
FUNNY😂
I've always thought sophia was on the nasty side, this proves she was a bit,,h .just imagine real life
I never liked this episode. Even back then, I felt bad for the actress being the brunt of so many fat jokes and insults.
Boy if only we had Al Bundy as a guest star in the show!
So much fat shaming
0:39 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 0:48😂😂😂😂😂😂 1:03 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love Golden girls. Some sections of this particular episode seemed insensitive tho. Especially when the girls were so upset with the boyfriend yet they were also making obtuse fat jokes.

Came here to see what this girl looked like years after her Brady Bunch ep. Fat jokes can be funny in a give and take, but these ladies talking to her directly is not funny. Not being PC or hyper sensitive just noticing how bad and forced it is played . This is lazy ass lame comedy to the nth degree.
Can you just imagine this sprung on you if you enjoyed this show? Fat shaming? Come on girls.
Used to find this amusing ....HOWEVER THE MOTHER IS JUST VERY RUDE AND YOU CALL THIS ...COMEDY??? 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬👎👎👎👎👎
Something I didnt know until now, Rebecca was in the first Terminator. She's the waitress who works with Sarah and tells her "look at it this way, in a hundred years who's gonna care?".
She's not even that fat.......holy crap, were we so 'weight obsessed' in the 80s?!! I cringed the whole time watching this - I was SO uncomfortable. I just keep thinking that if this played out now on television in 2023 the lawyers would have a field day!! 🙄😞
Wow, I didn't know they were cruel with the writing.
I’ve always been quite heavy, but I absolutely lost it at “we just didn’t expect you to be so fat” 🤣🤣
This episode is terrible but it's sad but very true. Unfortunately I wasn't over weight but I was considered chunky. Girls can be really mean( and boys for that matter.) These girls found out my last name and thought I was guilty of everything. One girl actually kept calling a local lawyer office in our home town and kept leaving my name and telephone number. I was absolutely horrified to think my Mom believed the guy on the phone ( instead of her own daughter) I can't understand why people can be so mean about other people's weight problems ( that's really none of anyone's business) I think no matter who you are and what your weight is I still think your a person just the same with feelings just the same as everyone else. And should be treated just like everyone else.😊
This is funny but also way too harsh. Feels cruel.
In 2023 Rebecca is actually of normal to below normal weight.
Absolutely loved Blanche's outfit here.
Can’t you just title the video “ her daughter “ ? Fat seems defining there
Best show ever ♥️♥️
People say that this Golden Girls episode was one of the most insensitive what with the sarcastic fat jokes and all. But the actress herself has stated on Twitter that she was merely wearing a fat suit for this. So, really she wasn't taking the brunt of the demeaning jokes at all. As a matter of fact she spoke highly of the fellow actors.....
I am NOT one of those offended minded people, and in fact, I like most jokes that others would find offensive. This episode WAS funny. With that said, the counterargument could be the fact that because they hired a thinner actress wearing a fat suit, that only made the episode even more insensitive. Whatever.
Sophia too Savage 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What Episode is this
