USB Charging Port install - 2020 Polaris Ranger Crew 1000 Premium
I replaced one of my Rangers 12 volt charging ports with a usb charging port. I purchased the usb charging port from electricalconnection.com. Absolutely simple install that takes about 10 minutes. Below is the link

2020 Polaris Ranger Crew 1000 review. Watch before you buy
Переглядів 34 тис.3 роки тому
Here is a quick walk around of our new Ranger Crew 1000. If you’re in the market watch the video for some things to look out for. My opinion is this new Ranger needs some better quality for the price they’re asking. This is the first Polaris I have owned that is made in Mexico.
Pelican, Orca, and Yeti cooler review
Переглядів 17 тис.4 роки тому
My review of a pelican and orca hard cooler. Also added a quick review of yeti soft cooler. Spoiler alert-my orca has a broken hinge. UPDATE: After this review I learned ORCA no longer required the coolers be sent back to them in a box. You just need to tape the return label on the cooler and send it in. Super easy.

    You were really being picky about most of those things. The skid plate is unacceptable, but the rest is easily fixed. That really is the economy Ranger. The 1000XP is the premium Ranger. I know $18k seems like a lot of money but all you get for that kind of money is a used car or truck with a lot of miles and you would most likely have small things wrong with it. These are UTVs not cars. People expect automotive quality and that isn't what you get. That being said I love my Polaris Rangers. I have two of them now. One old 500 6x6 and a 900XP. Looking at maybe getting a new 1000xp crew. Not sure though.

      Yes, I did get everything taken care of. Looking back it was all minor stuff. The Ranger has been problem free for 800 miles. I would recommend one and I’d buy again. I think mine was at a time when the factory was dealing with covid stuff. I should do a follow up video to this.

    I was wondering, can you do me a giant favor? I asked the salesman and he isn’t giving me much help on this (probably cuz he knows he made the sale already), would you by any chance be able to measure for me the distance from the very front to the back of the back wheel?? The specs say it’s 152” long overall, but I’m wondering if I back it on my 12’ trailer if the bed overhangs and I butt the wheels up as far as possible if it’ll fit. My gut says it will. I have to imagine that bed overhangs more than 6”. I know that’s asking a huge favor, but man I’d really appreciate it. Going to pick it up next Tuesday and I’m trying to make sure my trailer will work.

    Wondering if u could help my wife and I make are decision between the 570 crew or the 1000 crew, not XP. Is the 1000 that much faster than the 570? She’s concerned about going up town and not being able to have higher sustained speeds with the 570, where the 1000 I would think u could go the same speed without it working as hard. We have a family of 4, which includes 2 kids that are only getting bigger. Would the 570 start bogging down u think? Thanks!

    • @dinir1191
      @dinir1191 Рік тому

      I’m sorry for a delayed response. I spent time going back and forth between the 570 and the 1000. I believe that Polaris probably has the clutching dialed in enough on the 570 to make it functional. the 1000 has plenty of power, but it’s certainly not over powered. These Rangers are close to 2000 lbs and loaded with people way over that. Either way use low when it’s appropriate and enjoy the ride.

    I personally don’t see anything wrong with having to ship out your old cooler before they ship a new one to you. I think it’s nice that they are replacing the entire cooler instead of just shipping you a lid and telling you “do it yourself”. Sure these coolers are expensive but doesn’t mean they are indestructible, with the little use this cooler seems to have seen I’m sure at some point the lid was opened to hard or leaned on when opened. I have 3 orca hard coolers and one soft cooler from them, I purchased mine for your same reasons, USA made and lifetime warranty on all components of the cooler.

    • @paulcarlin5181
      @paulcarlin5181 2 роки тому

      Nothing wrong with Orca. I own a 20. With that said, the hard coolers are made in the USA, but not the soft. Says so on their site. The only cooler maker that makes both hard and soft coolers in the US is Bison. ALL import the cups.

    That's funny. I've had warranty issues with Pelican before with a travel case. On my last cooler purchase they weren't even considered. I went with an Orca 40. So far I'm pleased with it. My only complaint is my wife has trouble getting the latches back on sometimes.

    I’ve been looking at all of those coolers. I currently have a igloo IMX 70 I have owned for about 2 years. Both latches are broken and it is starting to split. I would have replaced them without question. However, they are not available anywhere. My cooler lives on the patio 24/7. I bought the igloo hoping it would serve me well. Been leaning towards a Pelican.. thanks for sharing your experience

    I just got a call from my dealership saying they received my XP 1000 and they were trying to install all the options I added but when they were installing the tilt Windshield they noticed a 1/2" gap in one side of the A post.. they tried a different Windshield and it was the same. After some investigation they figure out that the Frame is bow and it will have to be replace. They only noticed because I added that specific Windshield. Brand new unit with bad frame. 👎

    Loving my 2021 1000 Premium. My bike had none of the issues you mention. Sorry to hear of your issues. I agree with the comments on your dealer. The dealer should go over the bike THOROUGHLY before delivery. Makes no difference of what is assembled at the factory and what isn't. For what it's worth, I'm on my 3rd Polaris product. 2 four wheelers and now a Ranger. I have no complaints and all have been very reliable and trouble free.

    This is not issues with the " Factory " YOUR DEALER SHOULD CHECK EVERYTHING FOR A FINAL CHECK! I have purchased several units and that's just like saying if you drove a new vehicle home from the lot who is at fault if the tire falls off? The dealer not the manufacture. That's why there is also a inspection fee.
