@ o think you’re wrong on the popularity of anime. I’m fro Latin America and anime were our cartoons. We seldom watched looney tunes or Nickelodeon. TV networks mainly streamed anime, so that wasn’t my experience. I think, with all due respect, your generation has such access to information to dissect these things that we didn’t. So we just enjoyed it for what it was. Gen z takes huge deep dives, which can be great but it also leads to some overthinking and echo chambering. I can tell you with Daima I started diving into the development details and what not. I stopped doing it because it was taking away from the enjoyment. There is something to be said about just laying away from the analysis and just enjoying. Anyways that’s my 2 cents. Have a nice one!

I mean, you could still get off the internet? I’m not being toxically positive. I know the flaws DB has and as I said in the video, people can have their preferences. But nitpicking and moaning about how something isn’t going in the direction they want instead of not watching it ain’t it.

This kind of toxic positivity and gatekeeping is seen in a lot of fandoms those days. It's a weird new concept we never had in the 80s, 90s nad 00s. Take Star Wars for example. Everyone who dared to criticize Disney StarWars was called a toxic fan (and much worse) by a group of fanatics who never criticize anything no matter how bad it is. But without those complains we would never get stuff a good show like the first two seasons of Mando. Which were a result of disney actually listening to those complains made by fans. The old "consume product, never question anything and just wait for the next product" is not how things improve. Just let other people have different opinions without without trying to antagonize. All that should matter to u is that u like it.

Listen, it ain’t that deep. My video addresses the people that tear down a new product cause it’s new and different. Not people who seek healthy discussion or discourse. I understand where you’re coming from, but I want to give props to the technical team that worked on the movie. Also forgot to mention the set design, especially the musical sequences, and costuming. The technical side elevates the movie from being plain bad.

I think standalone is best for Deadpool overall so it doesn't restrict the character. Just now where do we go from here with the overarching story for the MCU and how can Doom be tied in and given proper build up? As for Gambit, I'm just glad Channing Tatum got his flowers

Do you guys get spark notes when you join the Snyder fan club? Cause y'all keep bringing up The Suicide Squad, but forgetting The Guardians exist. Also the suicide squad was released during Covid times coupled with the failure of the first Suicide Squad movie, maybe people weren't as keen to go to cinemas then? Also BVS failed to meet projections. The movie starring two of the biggest superheroes in the world made less than Captain America : Civil War released the same year. As for your list of good movies, I still only see 3 good movies there.

James Gunn suicide squad 2 made way under budget because he completely changed the cast like he always does. Fans were no longer interested. Had nothing to do with covid. Even Godzilla v Kong did better than SS2 And it came out during the pandemic aswell . It had a 200 million budget and it grossed $470 million worldwide. SS2 had a prior movie before that. It should have brought home money but it didn't. It made just $169 million worldwide against a production budget of $185 million way under budget. Fans were turned off when Croc, captain boomerang, nor joker and Harley's storyline was booted By James Gunn. Time to put that covid straw man argument down.

First off, how do you know it's a goofy repeat of a past movie? Did you get an exclusive screening? Second WB has had DC for a very long time. That part about the suicide I never heard and is wild so I won't be paying much attention to the absolute minority who said that, but as for the rest, yes. Zack Snyder is good with visuals but not so much story. It's why his best work is adaptation. James Gunn has his own style to bring and I would like to see how that translates to Superman. But at the end of the day, I'd rather comment on the movie when it's out rather that raging about set photos.

I can tell James Gunn is a big fan of comics and loves DC; he himself said that his purpose was to portray Superman in the way people liked him but also in a unique way that it’s worth making a big-budget movie out of it. I'm not pitting the MCU against the DCEU. As a fan of superheroes I wanted to see both succeed. And taking the words of minority MCU fanboys and making it a reason to hate is weak. I see Snyder fans do the same. There are assholes on both sides. But the majority of people watching these movies don't have that level of investment in these companies. They just want to have a good time and while Snyder's DCEU movies had highlights, they were flawed. While I agree that WBD don't deserve DC because of the shitshow they caused, shilling for a single director and not giving another a chance, all while claiming to be a DC fan is weird. Even in the comics you have different writers for the same character. You can hate Gunn's Superman movie, but at least wait until it's here to do so

It’s strange to me that people aren’t going out to see this movies, but are doing so for Bad Boys. Hopefully it gets a second life, when it does go to streaming, so studios make more of these.

I'm happy you watched and loved it. From what I hear it's still not doing well. It hasn't made back its production budget let alone if you include marketing costs. Which is sad because Bad Boys is somehow doing well. George Miller though is an eclectic film maker, cause he did Mad Max but also Happy Feet XD
