Pretty much spot on, been living overseas since 1994. At age 62, I still receive attention from the ladies. Meanwhile my 29 year old son living in Florida told me that he can't even get a date without having what seems to be a qualifying interview. He stopped trying all together and has plans to travel to Thailand.

This is my take on it, being a mid-aged man: The pheonomena had been around for decades before, with some hinting it was called "Geo-Maxxing" among the typical white intl expat (which would also include sexpat within it as well). (oddly, internet searches of geo-maxxing, geo maxing. doesnt turn up anything) From what I can gather, the term "Passport Bro, Passport Bros." grew mostly from the African American communities, simply b/c they felt AA women were too much to deal with. Their beginning destinations were Dominican Republic and Colombia. Im guessing its because they both have party type of atmospheres, and reasonable costs to vacation for lengthy durations. The PB movement did grow to encompass all men leaving the USA to find women for fun and/or LTR/marriage. (im suspecting some to many of the AA men took offense to this (typical, and expected), thinking some weird cultural appropriation nonsense). But the fact remains....wite men have been doing this en mass decades before it was even in the limelight.

Don't associate yourself with any groups that have too many jerks in them. You can't stop the concept of passport bros. Men are going to look elsewhere for a better deal - that's how we are built. The difference now is that if you advertise yourself as a passport bro, sleeping around with many women from other countries, and the locals catch you doing this too much, you're going to have problems. And you don't want to have problems in another country where you have fewer rights.

An alternate way; Find a way to travel, study and work in other countries as part of building your abilities, skills, character and experiences. Let the dating happen in the course of events. I came across your video today and thought that I would offer you some free advice. In 2004, I was your age and had just received a promotion in the consulting firm that involved my travelling each month to the Middle East. I would work there for 2 weeks and then receive a ticket to anywhere I wanted. I did these trips until May 2008. So, I decided to take a series of trips to the FSU on free airline tickets and use hotel points for free rooms. I had always found the history compelling and decided to put my profile up on a few of the early dating sites. I was dating a couple of women in the US at the time, but, for each, I hadn't made any commitment yet. Both were very high-quality women; one was a Fulbright Scholar and author and the other was a Harvard trained medical specialist making in excess of $300 K per year. However, the frequent international travel got in the way of anything serious. Anyway, I had my first FSU trip and spent 2 weeks in my now wife's home country. She was 24, and I was 36 when we met. I had spent about 3 months talking and writing her prior to visiting, and everything was very easy during the visit. During the next several months, I met her in 4 other FSU / Eastern European countries prior to her flying to the US on a fiancé visa. The fact that I was successful in the US dating and never had anything bad to say about US women was very reassuring to her. I believe that if you are serious about a LTR with someone that you should settle on a specific country and spend your time in that country. It will help you begin to understand the culture and you will become better at dating in that culture. Also, I'm not sure that I would recommend the day game approach as its results are pretty random. It might be better to leverage the internet and employ a personal matchmaker. I'm not sure how much a matchmaker might charge, but both my children take language lessons with a local via the internet for something like $5 / hr; so, finding a freelancer should be affordable. Offering her a success fee upon engagement would help to motivate your matchmaker. In the FSU, even $1,000 would go a very long way. Also, I have found 12 years to be a manageable age gap, but I wouldn't recommend much more than that. I benefitted from the FSU being a decade behind the West when my wife grew up. She and I listened to much of the same music growing up, had three tv channels to choose from, and the internet came into her life at about the same age. Finally, age is secondary, and timing is the more important consideration. My wife was completing her PhD at the time that we met. So, she was open to a permanent relationship and moving upon completing her doctorate. Best of luck to you and anyone who reads this post.

I just stopped getting motivated to do anything anymore, also, our housing market in Canada has blown up as well as the economy so I have no choice but to leave. 49 year old US guy here. US dating has been a nightmare for a long time if you are looking for healthy long term partnership. I found a wife easily in China, and with the cost of travel so cheap now, it totally worth exploring! I have had zero interest in dating US women for decades now. There is also a culture shock once you realize there are real people with real issues and challenges, then you go back to the US and experience how spoiled and out of touch US women are. It's actually hard for me to live in the USA now, after visiting 25+ countries & realizing for myself what is important in a relationship, which is harmony and partnership, not spoiling and doting on the woman hand and foot, with little reciprocation.
