Are the blu rays the same ones that have been out or do they feature new 4k mastering as well?

I remember the hype before renting it on Video as a kid. Genius marketing. Scared me when I watched it. Still holds up pretty good. A new cut is going to be put out. Lots more original footage.

How does it compare to the second sight version?

I'm still operating on a bare bones DVD for Trick 'r Treat so maybe it's time for an upgrade. The best segment, 'Halloween School bus Massacre' should have been longer. Show the kids/Brian Cox character at home Halloween morning, then each boarding the bus, each step building tension...feels like a missed opportunity.

I got Nordic version of nightmare on Elm street and it was kind a lame, because steelbook has same art than slipcase. Transfer was beautiful though! One thing bothered me in the uncut version, scene where Tina appears second time in body bag and spills her guts (centipedes,worms and insects) out from her stomach. In this version you only see that pile of "guts" on her feet. I remember it used to be more gory in VHS version. Do you remember it being different?

I cannot wait to upgrade it to 4K it will look just like videos as new Movies always do yeah I love The CGI in The WolfMan not Underworld and Van Helsing though because They are abomination terrible Werewolves CGI Movies Cursed 2005 Movie is also a terrible CGI Werewolfs Movie

The Arrow 4k set doesn't come with the 3-hour cut but is worth getting. But I got a german region free release of dune, which comes with the 3 hour tv cut in widescreen which looks amazing. Does the 3 hour tv cut come in widescreen in the via vision? And is it region free ?

Nice haul... I'm not sure what it's like there. But besides Dollar Tree. Or maybe Walmart. Not alot of dvds in the wild anymore. They've really phased them out here.

Nice pick up’s buddy and Breakdown is a truly great film that I think you will highly enjoy it’s very underrated. I have the Paramount Presents blu ray and it’s a really nice edition. Funny thing I try to warn people that if they haven’t seen intruder do not watch the trailer cause it is notorious for spoiling who the killer is 😂 but the umbrella edition looks sweet I’m still rocking the old synapse blu ray lol.

One of my absolute favorite Carpenter flicks - SO underrated and right up there with Vampires and Ghosts of Mars. I'm still rocking the original Universal anamorphic DVD, and it still holds up on a 65" 4K display upscaled to 2160 via my Panasonic UB9000. I never saw a need to upgrade.

Have you checked your player out? I had the same issue a few years back. And it ended up being the 4k player. I also have the same protective cases you have. Only for steelbook's in my case. Very expensive if you're planning on doing that for your whole collection with both kinds of cases. I would imagine thousands of dollars by the end of your project$$$$$$$ However, it is your hard earned money. So, each to their own. But I have to fully agree, the black Blu-ray cases are extremely sexy!!! Great video, keep up the great work 👏

Two things: I don’t care what your politics are, but Mark Hamil is an absolute basket case. Dude went off the deep end. These studios need to keep their AI away from FILM. If they want to AI their modern crap, I don’t care, but not touch actual film with that nonsense.

Watched it recently again. And it really holds up well. It plus the original movies are well done. I haven't watched the "Midwich Cuckoos" versions.

No Slipcover for Village of the Damned Collector’s Edition?

I saw it on tubi before i bought the 4k and i was like yeah i want this movie. So much is releasing at this time. We need big trouble in little china.

I love carpenter’s remake of Village of the damned and Memoirs of an invisible man and feel they are both underrated films of Carpenter. Scream factory did a nice edition of Memoirs of an Invisible man on Blu Ray. I need to upgrade my Blu ray of Village of the Damned to the 4k. Awesome video as always buddy.

Horizon is very disappointing, you don't see Kevin Costner for the first whole hour of the movie and then from then on his screen time is less than 20 minutes.
