Love the shorter video format here - and the tip to get there at least an hour before the crowds too. I'll have the visit the Malham area again, as it been a while since I've been there.
Always busy around Malham. School holidays just starting, so I’d say is a no go area for the next month 🙂
Lovely images mate, not one I have visited so will mark this on the cards I reckon.... Right, ime off for a pee.
Virtually a roadside shoot.. deffo put it on the list. Nice and easy to tick off 👍🏻
Super video Garry, as others have mentioned every time I've been, there were more people than sheep on the fells. Enjoyed your image's, look forward to your next blog, Ron
Thanks for watching Ron. Yep, it’s the only time I’ve ever been there without any people...Although that didn’t last long. Hoping to get out to the coast this week… just to make a change from all these waterfalls 🙂
Absolutely stunning mate you captured the falls really well. Only been the once and if I'm honest I didn't struggled but hoping to be going backstop that area end of September with Darren to try again.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻👍🏻
another cracking video Garry. Some great shots too. I had a laugh at the northern hippo comment because I was out yesterday (at a waterfall) and ended up going down a rock face on my backside and as I was going down I said to the camera I had all the grace of a hippo!
I do have a habit of falling, tripping and/or slipping. I find the patented bum shuffle helps limit the chances of this happening 🤣
I've been to this location but it didn't 'float my boat' I think it was just a trickle. I assume you were there early as I believe it's a popular swimming location. That 360° camera is still messing with my head 😅
Flow is everything with waterfalls. Too much or too little can ruin an image. We were there about 9am. An hour later as we left, we had a small crowd taking phone shots behind us. It’s why the video is so short and doesn’t have an ending with me talking to camera. Wasn’t keen on having an audience 😊👍🏻
@garrysugdenphotography yep you definitely timed it right 👌 amount of water. If I remember correctly I also only viewed it from the left hand side but didn't explore further probably because of the uninspiring flow 😊@@garrysugdenphotography
quick question also like waterfalls this probably a bit to far as we in north devon did you use any filters like the work you do thanks
Thanks for watching. In this case the only filter I used was a circular polariser to help with the glare in the pool. No need for ND filters to slow the shutter speed down as it was quite dark under the trees. I’ve a video coming up with a review (and discount code) for some really good K&F magnetic filters. Video should be on here in the next week or two.
Some great images from a beautiful location - thanks 🙂
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Janet's Foss is a lovely little waterfall. You must have been there at an ungodly hour because at this time of year it's usually crawling with tourists. I'm sure you've already done this, but it would be rude not to visit Gordale Scar & Malham Cove whilst you're in spitting distance. 😉
9am… by the time we left, an hour later it was packed. Hence the rather short video without my usual ending.
Really enjoyed that location, you got some very nice images
Thanks Steve. Would have been a longer video but there were two other photographers there putting me off and getting in my shots 🤣🤣

Thanks 🤗
great video. Looks like you all had a great time!
Just a load of silly fun John. Really was a great day out :-)
Hi Garry don't tell the others but yours is the first one I've watched 🤫 I struggle with woodland photography especially if there's no mist to simplify the location. I really found it difficult at Cannock Chase this weekend just gone but I think I may have one image I'm happy with. I'll take that 😊
I'm honoured! Thanks for watching me first :-) Any good woodland shots I get seem to be a happy accident and nothing more :-)
Well done mate, think you are a bit harsh on yourself, you got some lovely images there! Obviously not as good as Sony, but not far off 😂
Sony my arse 🤣 Thing with woodland is, I just don't find it easy...So then I give up. I'm inherently lazy 😄 I usually come away at least some images I'm happy with but they always seem to be happy accidents. Looking back, I probably chose the wrong ones to enter in to the comp. 👍
NIKON win lol. 😂
Always mate 👍
Brilliant mate, you done well, considering 😉 What a laugh we had
Bring on the rematch.... your going down 🤣
@@garrysugdenphotography and so it started all over again
Another wonderful video. Some nice shots. Also, love the choice of background music.😊
Thank you. Really glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Cool video. Glad I found your channel. I will stay tuned in from Japan.😊. Take care sir and looking forward to your future videos.
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment.
What a great time we had doing thus 🤣📷👍🏻
Yep. Need to make this a repeat even 👍🏻 I’ve not had chance to watch all the others yet… been driving. I’ll get on it ASAP.
3rd image is my fave. Not a fan of the abstract images. They remind me of my attempts at painting a tree when I was in primary school. 🤭
Damn! You’ve voted Sony!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@garrysugdenphotography I'm voting on the composition not the image quality!
Hi Garry that 360° camera is a bit freaky isn't it 😂 Great footage but it messes with your head. I've not been to either of those waterfalls so yet another location to add to the every growing list!! I assume you've visited the Brecon Beacons waterfalls? They're stunning. Unfortunately the one and only time I visited they were in full flow as in way too much water after a period of heavy rain. I'm definitely going to return. I hope you post an outtakes video with the footage of you nimbly climbing the rocks 😂 I'm sure it'll get plenty of views. Hopefully see you at Cannock if you've managed to get stuff sorted
The 360 messes with your head? You should try using it… it takes more brain cells than i can afford to use to just figure it out 🤣 I’ve been using one for years and still struggle at times 🤣 Done the Breaons falls just the once, years ago. Like you, all we had was torrential rain and too much water going over the falls. Sadly, I’ve had to pull out of Cannock 🙁 Had plans made for me 😉
@@garrysugdenphotography ah that's a shame about Cannock I'm heading over shortly. The weather isn't looking that favourable but for me it's getting away in the van and spending time with like minded people camera in hand ☺ hopefully catch up soon 👍
@@tuftyhillCurrently sat in cafe at Spurn Point. 2 hour drive for 30 mins of photography before it pissed it down! Yep, fingers crossed for a meet up soon 🤞🏻👍🏻
Can't wait for all the videos to be out 🥰🤣📷👍🏻
Yep, hopefully it captures the great laughs we had 👍🏻
Wow this looks so epic! But surely if you release it on Sunday, it will massively split the audience for the England/ Spain final. 😉
🤣
Northern hippo ha ha, great video mate and some stunning images to boot. I been considering an insta 360 but just for B roll on the bike and for videos
Thanks mate. The Insta360 is a great bit of kit. I've been using 360 cameras for years now but they take a bit of effort to use and process the footage. Getting your head to think in 360 is challenge at times :-)
another great video Garry. Some cracking shots!
Thanks John 👍🏻
Another great video Garry, your enthusiasm for your photography really cuts through, thanks for the mention, didn't get much myself that day either, keep up the good work and hats off to your better half for making you look and sound so good 😂😂😂 , Ron
Thanks Ron. I’d be lost without her 😂
Beautiful waterfall images Garry, but I was rather taken by the long exposures mate 👌👌 Cracking stuff 👍
Glad you enjoyed it mate.
Gone fishing with the Insta360... 😄 Great waterfall captures and brilliant B-rolls again.
Thanks for watching as always 👍🏻
Can't beat a good waterfall Suggy 🥰👍
Certainly more my style than pure woodland 🙂
@@garrysugdenphotography 🤣🤣 how about a waterfall in a woodland ? 🤣😉👍🏻
Nice your mojis back Gary. Our winter weather here in Melbourne looks better than your English summer. No wonder you got a cold!
Thanks for watching. This summer has been particularly bad 🙁 The mojo comes and goes. Sadly it seems to be going more than coming at the moment 🤣
Lovely images !! Them last cascades 👌
Thanks you 👍🏻
Not bad for a Northern hippo😂, great work mate
Thanks very much. Should have got it on camera. Graceful it was not 🤣
Top notch. I vote for more shouting over waterfalls and crap singing outros. 😂
Yes to both I think.
I love my K&F, absolute no settling to move you off your subject.
Thanks for watching :-)
Great video again Garry definitely a location to put on the list! 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Simon. It’s still on my list…. Desperately want to do a return visit 👍🏻
Fantastic vlog man, stunning, what time of year was this
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Very much appreciated. This was the first week in April. A real mix of sunshine and blizzards!
@@garrysugdenphotography fantastic, we went a few years back around that time, and we had similar weather. Love the place
I love seing how photographers approach a new location and how they go about selecting the shot they want and how they want it to appear. You 100% make Iceland look like aphotographers, paradise, albeit one needing to be dealt with with snow- tyres, warm clothing and a decent pair of wellies! It's also great to see that, as some-one who works with the natural world; how your photos show the best of what there is without burning our eyeballs with ramped up colours etc. You've made another cracking video - one of the photography vloggers I love to watch.
Thank you very much for those kind words. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
amazing location. Never made it there. Now on the to-do-list!
By far my favourite location of the trip 👍🏻
Great series of videos from Iceland Garry, fantastic locations and some super images certainly more photogenic than the Blyth outlet pipe, always look forward to your next post, keep up the good work, Ron
Stay tuned. Next weeks video has a quick shot of the outlet pipe and you even get a little mention 😉 Thanks again for the support 👍🏻
Thank you for sharing your experience of Iceland 🙂👍

Stunning Garry, place I've always wanted to visit, really good production value to your video too, that intro was brilliant and the images you captured are incredible!
Cheers mate. Like I said to Mr Stain… get saving and I’ll join you 👍🏻 Just made myself a brew and sitting down to your long awaited return 😉
@@garrysugdenphotography definitely mate, I've never tried pricing up Iceland, need to sit down and work it out. Thanks for tuning in to my latest.
A stunning video from a place that is just epic having been about 4 times.
Thank you
Wow, magical location and stunning photos. Regarding the tripod sinking on the beach...I think I saw it in a Thomas Heaton video he carried 3 empty DVD's in his bag for this purpose. When shooting long exposures on the beach in the sand he placed those under the tripod feet. It prevents the tripod from sinking. Since then I also have them in my bag, they literally weigh nothing.
Thank you. I’ve used the CD trick in the past but had a few float away 🙂 so gave up on the idea. Manfrotto make proper sand/snow feet… so bought some of those… and never remember to pack them 🤣
Hi Garry wow! Those 2 locations are my favourites from the trip so far especially the waterfall and great to have it to yourself.
Had to be there early to beat the crowds. We lefts at a boot 8:30 just as the first coach pulled in to the carpark. As for Vestrahorn, it’s so far from Reykjavik and so large, I don’t think crowds would ever be a problem. Thanks for watching mate. Appreciate it as always. 👍🏻
Well that was epic on another scale! Awesome place, awesome shots 👍👍
Thank you. Now on with planning the next adventure…. Flights just been booked for Norway!!!
What a place, super shots, I want to go 😮

Nice one Gary, loved the beach images 🥰👍🏻
Thanks mate. Just wish I could have been there at a better time of day but travel time (and needing a feed) got in the way.
Wow Gary that was stunning. Fantastic video and you managed to get some stunning pics mate 👍👍
Thanks 👍 Stood in front of a couple of glaciers on the trip and the scale of them is just awesome. My brain struggled to comprehend what was in front of me at times :-)
