In this tutorial we go over some ways we can utilize ACES in Octane 2020. Sadly as far as we know there is no way currently to navigate ACES inside of Octane itself, but we do have access to a new ACES EXR container file. This is fire, I wish this was a real short film that I can watch.
c4d "cloner" is faster than "octane scatter" in rendering time i dont know how
"Free"
yes. It is free.
When i ctrl shift t to bdsf it imports ao, diffuse, normal and height map. Then when i adjust the scale from displacement node the mountain flies to top, when i add another height map in png format it sticks to the plane as it should be but the mountains appear as all black. Couldnt solve this issue yet.
Thank you so much for sharing!Learned alot from this. Currently working on a Death stranding short

Same, guess this has died out. :( pitty.
Top link works, thanks for making this one free.
@@abinarylife0101 thank you for writing me here otherwise I would have missed the offer which at this very moment is free and the link is now working.
It says "Checkout is disabled on this site"
thank you so much for explaining how to mix rocks with dirt. Noob question, can you achieve a similar effect with one plane, by mixing materials?
#legend great flow, great serries! thank you mate!
Link says that the website has expired :(
thank you!!!!
it doesnt work anymore, i cant download it.
Should be all fixed now ✌
@@DigitalNativeTV doesn't anymore
your crazy? Thankyou !
굿
Awesome Tutorial.... I am from Bangladesh....
so good! incredible, thanks!
Great tutorial. You are the Bob Ross of Octane tutorials!
Is there a tutorial on how to use them (in blender)
Where did you get this mask from?
Really nice 🔥
New idea! The Animation displacement is interesting
thank you.
Hola estoy siguiendo tu tutorial me gustaría donde puedo conseguir el mismo material de piedra que utilizas me gusta mucho
thank a lot !
So the dirt node actually knows where the crevices are like ambient occlusion.
Yo! Are you still designing? Watched some of your videos today just to refresh the mind and I wanted to drop a message making sure you are still killing it in the space! I know success still grows behind the scenes, just wanted to say to keep growing and doing big things even if it isn't on UA-cam! All the best big dog!
cool
ok thats actually so funny i just found out that you are ansel, but i've been looking up your tutorials for so long without knowing !! what a small world
Huuuuuuge thanks :)
saved my life i love you
Well, it looks good within AE... as long as display color management is off... but it outputs my videos WITH color management and its washed out. I don't want to export a png sequence and re-import & re-encode... takes too much time &... what's the point of doing all this colorprofile thing if you can't even render a video normally ? I'm rendering AE through media encoder, which has no colorspace conversion options. So... WTF ?!!
Awesome.
I have been avoiding the Node editor for about a year because every single tutorial on UA-cam is too damn fast. This tut was absolutely perfect, you totally simplified this for noob like me thanks!
So good! Great job!
Nice yr.
I think I'm going to stick to only worrying about making logos bigger. Some TD can deal with this.. haha
hey bro where are you we need more tutorials.
I wish someone would do a tutorial without using an external renderer. Many of us out here do this as a hobby and can’t afford to pay for external render
use the free version
Thank you for the amazing tutus. But your store doesn't work. None of the links seems to work.
learnt a bunch of little things from your video like how to use vertex maps that had no idea existed or what it does but how do you get octane do you have to rent it on the site?
What's the best way to export the footage using this workflow as a .mov file? I seem to get overbright colours, or they don't match the composition in AE whether I use 'preserve RGB', ACEScg, or sRGB in the export's colour management. Many thanks for any help!
I've found the best method is to export a TIFF sequence and then bring that back into a new 16 bit session with the color space set to none, and then proceed to export a MOV from there. Hoping to get an updated tutorial out soon!
If I render some light passes ID, when I composite them with Linear dodge they will just burn the image, as that light is already calculated on my other passes (you can tell the light on diffuses passes for example). The only way I figured out how to compose separate light is in a substractive way using "Substract" instead of "Linear dodge". Is there any other way to do it?
you are the best bro
You should render in ACEScg instead of linear-srgb space it has way more advantages than this
how to block camera octane viewer ?
OCTANE R20 ??? PLEASE !!!
my displacement is don't working
your art reminds me Bob Ross, thank you soooooo much for these tips!!!
