Переглядів 1,1 млн15 років тому
This play happened on April 30, 1988 Pete was upset with me on the call and eventually got thrown out for his temper tantrum :) He was fined $10,000 and suspended for 30 days for his actions...

This video is really my mission statement. Respecting yourself, and respecting others for who you and they are is the key...Whether you're an employer, an employee, a college professor, a college coach, a student or student athlete, this is one message I try to communicate to all!!
Pete gonna lose that bet on the game, still H>O<F tho.
Pete’s pissed he lost money.
pete was right
He bet on his team this game.
This old baseball fan remembers Pallone. He was the Angel Hernandez of his day.
Poor sports. Pete and the fans
Before there was Hernandez, there was Pallone.
He must of had a lot of money on the game
It's a disgrace he's not in the hall of fame. Should have been punished but not for life. He belongs in the hall. Period. I'm an O's fan too. Pete belongs in Hall.
Pete had passion for the game. Also i believe i met him, maybe a photo when i was little. He's also in our towns HOF. We have a baseball tournament every year and big time pros from all sports would come. But we have the coolest HOF here. Small but impactful.
Thanks...Marge.
The player shouldn’t have assumed the call, should have thrown the ball to make the play and argue the call later. Same as playing to the whistle in other sports. Umps/refs are often crap, so don’t assume and finish the play.
Pallone was one of the replacements when MLB union umpires went on strike. MLB kept him on after the strike ended. Hard to believe he was worse than Angel Hernandez.
Rose probably had good money on this game, so I understand his being as upset as he was.
Who can blame Pete for being upset? Who knows how much he had riding on that game LOL
I was at this game with my brother and his friends for his birthday and my dad… I’ll never forget it
was the game forfeited and who won the game? Pete Rose was in the right. that ref poked him in the face. and he delayed his call way too long.
Pete had money riding on that runner having a higher batting average that game, so he had to run out there.
Well, after all that the Red Soxs won.
Pete is mad because he bet on his team to win
Stupid Reds fans. It's not like the umpires have to go pick up all that trash. Dumb.
NEVER.
Pallone was a stand up guy. Rosé claiming he touched my chin. Never came close. If he wanted to poke him, Rose would have been laid out flat, that’s why his team was trying to get him out of there, they knew Rose would get flattened. He shoved Pallone with everything he had twice and barely moved him. Pete was a great singles hitter, maybe the best of all-time, but that was pure nonsense.
Umpires need to walk away not incite players or managers.
Pete was NOT in the wrong!!!!! He poked Pete!!!!! In the face!!!! Pete should’ve decked him. Way to go Reds fans!!!
Poked Pete right in the face. Pallone should’ve been suspended a year and heavily fined.
It is still up the player (1b) to continue to play the game.
Wish baseball jad stuff like this all the time
I love to see Mookie at bat and then running to First!
Pete Rose was a freakin gamer. Truly a dying breed
Ump did make contact with Pete before Pete made contact with Ump..
Pete lost a lot of money on that call.
0:36 Cookie Rojas took some notes on Rose
He must’ve had a big bet on the game
Pete must’ve had some money on this game.
Never seen an umpire get thrown out of a game.
Pallone was poking more than Pete. Google it.
They need to start ejecting umps after clearly bad calls
0:37 “BWHOAHUHH-OOO!!!”
That's when it was still a man's game, hard core! Pete was the posterboy for tough!
Yeah, way to go with the Humility Pete. That crazy attitude got him in deeper waters later.
Pete Rose will never see his jersey in the MLB Hall of Fame
Since he has passed away, no
@michaelleroy9281 yeah I know he didn't deserve to see his jersey in the Major League Hall of Fame though. Nobody bets on baseball who's in baseball. Banned for life I agree
Buck weaver and Pete rose and Joe Jackson should be in the hall of fame baseball shows it's ignorance every year this goes on
Pete Rose was a real piece of absolute garbage. He WILL NOT BE MISSED.
Pete musta had alot of money on that game,,,, prove me wrong
Pallone was a horrible umpire!
Pete was not the greatest guy in a lot of ways, but he’s 100% right here.
how many cups were thrown onto the field ? Pete had the over
What, no challenge LOL!
Pete was an azz.
