This is the video I watched when I was buying here. There is not an HOA. There is only a "Social Board" that arranges social events. Residents own their homes and the land but the rest is corporate owned by Palm Cay LLC which bought out the previous corp owner, Heritage Corp. one year ago. The amenities here need to be corrected by Palm Cay LLC. I write this Dec 29 2024.

I prefer Hallandale Beach Florida beautiful beaches and restaurants and Gulf Stream Park Horse racing track, it’s the biggest in Florida, and Pegasus And Dragon Statue it’s the third biggest statue in the United States, Atlantic Village beautiful shopping mall and full with restaurants and nightlife, Big Easy Casino the second biggest casino in Florida, and your in the city that’s in between everything in south Florida, my favorite city in Florida perfect location.

I know property taxes are about 1% of the price of the property and Ocala has one of the lowest cost for insurance. My question is how much for hurricane insurance? or flood insurance? A master bathroom isn't a master bathroom without a tub!

@@Juice421fs in recent years we have seen more and more homes without a bathtub in the en-suite bathroom. The current trend is to use the space for a larger more spacious shower with room for two (or more) and multiple shower heads. The trend does not include the guest bath or “kids” bathroom as most parents feel that they need a bathtub at times for young children. We have seen less and less carpet and rarely have seen tub sinks in the laundry rooms anymore either. At my home, we have removed the master tub and instead have a 6’x5’ tile step in shower. There is some debate about whether or not to install shower doors or walls, but it looks like the trend is leaning towards not having that. (We opted out as well) Over the years, home trends change and builders have to supply for the current demand. If people don’t want bathtubs often enough, and instead prefer to buy homes with a larger shower, the builders will see it in their bottom line and do listen. But good comment. Keep the questions coming!

We live in west Ocala. Had more wind than all hurricanes in the past. Had a giant oak across our entrance and another tree down in front of a rental property as well. $2,050 in tree removal and good to go. Only lot power 4 hours. Usually a week or two. Even though a weaker storm.
@@dougrogers835 we didn’t lose power at all, but one of the rental properties lost a limb that fell on a roof. Out of 250 doors that we manage, that was the only damage. Compared to Asheville it didn’t feel worth mentioning. I’m glad you came out of it okay and so glad we didn’t get it worse.

I don't take it as bragging. It's a sign of gratitude that the area was spared. Thank you for sharing. It's just so sad for all those who weren't spared and are suffering. My heart goes out to them for it could have been any of us with that hurricane being so big. Many prayers for all those that are in the devastation.

Hi there, could you do a video or talk about in one of your next videos how ocala has been affected by hurricane Helene? I am curious about it and was looking in the news but no mention of central florida. We are curious about this. Thank you!
@@sandyelizabeth6925 sure. But it’s not very exciting. Nothing really happened. We didn’t even get flooded. A few tree limbs fell, and a few trees fell in roads, but they had most of that cleaned up and gone by the time any of us even saw it. There were a lot without power since a hub was down in the forest/silver springs. But I live SW side near I75 and our lights never even flickered. Both of our offices never lost power either. Compared to other parts of Florida and Georgia and Tennessee and Asheville…we had no storm. I normally do videos about the effects of a hurricane here, or lack there of. But with such damage and flooding and loss of life I didn’t want it to look like bragging. Our hearts and prayers go out to all those that have been affected and hope we can help. That’s what happens after a storm, those that don’t have damage help those that do. Please do what you all can to help the people hurting right now.
