I am slightly opening up to second hand but it seems like online is the way to go. Just bought a refurbished iphone 14 pro max and saved around $240 versus buying brand new. I like the brand Travis Mathew but their polos cost around $90-$100 each. They go on sale but the particular design I wanted was very hard to find and at best I could buy brand new for $50. I was able to find a used one on ebay for $30 with shipping. I can afford new but with the savings I am able to get more stuff I want versus having a few stuff new.

Nice but I would call it modernist, not minimalist. There are lots of stuff which make the owner comfortable and happy, which is probably more important than minimalism just for the sake of it.

Oh Kyla, I have had the same experience. 10 years ago I moved into my in-laws big beautiful home after my father-in-law died. I knew the move was coming but I had an emotional meltdown I had not anticipated. I didn’t feel like myself for months. We too had to renovate and the chaos and loss of routines was so hard on me. It was like I totally lost myself. Well it did return and now I absolutely love my house and life but for a while I was sure I had made a big mistake that I couldn’t change. Some of us are very sensitive to our environments and our homes are an extension of our selves and it just takes time.

I love your honesty! Imperfectly perfect! Life is definitely a journey and thank you for sharing yours! Change can be very overwhelming and it’s always nice to know that others struggle as well! Your pictures are beautiful! Looking forward to more content!

Your home is very nice! When I search for home tours, I am always looking for a home that is a little bit better organized and a little bit more minimal than mine. Even before I discovered the author James Clear who popularized the “one percent better” improvement plan, I realized that some homes were unreachably empty and others were stressfully cluttered to look at. We all need a spectrum of examples to look at and internalize on our way to whichever level of minimalism we want to park ourselves at. Your home is lovely and beautiful and perfect for where I am at right now. Thank you for sharing.
