Downhill MTB Dirt Jump Line Philadelphia PA
This jump line is part of a pretty well known spot near Philly. There are 12 jumps, starting off super small like 3 foot gaps, up to 12ish foot at the bottom. It's pretty technical but flows perfectly once you figure out all the jumps. This one was so much fun many, many thanks to whoever built it.

FORT HILL Thunder Mountain Bike Park | Freeride Trail with Massive Gap Jumps

So I finally got up to Thunder Mountain to ride their new jump line Fort Hill. I've been hearing rumors that these are the biggest jumps in any bike park, with some people arguing about whether Crabapple Hits is bigger, but it doesn't really matter. These jumps are huge. Most of the gaps are 35 to 40 feet, and if you're hitting the sweet spots or going deep, you're going 40 to 45 . The funniest...
NEW Crap Chute Jump Trail Mountain Creek Bike Park 2020

Mountain Creek recently overhauled their biggest jump line Crap Chute. They added a big right hip which is pretty unusual, and cleaned up all the existing jumps. They are working on adding a step up to the left of the big table at the bottom, but it looks like it's going to be a while until that's done.

My Downhill bike has been in the shop for a while so I've been reconnecting with my trail bike, and trying out some old lines. The first one is a steep drop into this little valley. The second one is a little kicker into a bottomless landing you can go 20-25 feet on. The third one is a really technical drop into a super steep chute.

Steepest Trail at Brandywine Creek: Technical 50% Grade - YT Tues

This "trail" is right by the Thompsons Bridge parking lot and is by far the steepest and most technical in Brandywine Creek State Park. It would easily qualify as a double black at any bike park, so it's pretty incredible that something so gnarly exists in Delaware. From top to bottom it is around 120 vertical feet. The top starts off with a short rocky section which is probably the hardest par...

I finally made it up to Killington VT Bike Park this past weekend. I was very excited to ride their jump trail Black Magic, but it was actually somewhat disappointing. The jumps are no bigger than Dominion at Mountain Creek, and while the trail is really long, it wasn't flowy at all. I found myself having to pedal as hard as I could between every jump, and even then I couldn't clear them all. M...

This was my first time at Mountain Creek Bike Park on the new YT Tues. It was amazingly stable on jumps and drops, and carried so much speed through every trail. Unfortunately I don't usually ride the rougher trails here, so I was still pretty slow on them. A buddy of mine showed me this new downhill mountain bike jump line someone built near Harmony Hill PA. This video is so funny. It looks so easy on cam, and then you are in straight up disbelief when you see it in person. It's genuinely terrifying to walk it!
This spot used to be immaculate. Looks like theres more lines there than when i rode and dug in the early 2000's. Hopefully someone is still keeping up with them
Yeah man it's been a while since I've checked on them, but they were in decent shape last time I stopped by
This line still there? Any hints to where it is?
Not sure if it is still there, but probably. Can't say exactly where it is, but if you go to a skatepark and ask around about dirt jumps near Philly I'm sure it won't take long to figure out. Good luck!
@@northeastmtb1575 Thanks dude!
About 30 minutes from the city
@@brentgardner6530 That narrows it down
Is there like a list or something of these "secret" trails? I love this stuff but would have no idea where to find any, including this one!
Unfortunately no, but for this one in particular, I'm sure if you go around asking anyone on a BMX bike about dirt jumps near Philly it won't take you long to find it XD. Alternatively, just go to Mt. Penn, they have bigger better jumps well marked on trail maps.
@@northeastmtb1575 I saw this like 2 years ago and literally the first person that looked good at Wiss I showed this too and he told me ... Let's put it this way, if you had a gun to your head and had to find it in 24 hours, it'd probably take you 10 minutes before some kid tells you where to go. They're pretty intimidating though, but surprisingly they're only 15 minutes away from me.
Stop trying mtb guys unless they ride dh it's the old little devil jumps behind a school there's the best tip you'll get. Stop asking for spots online that's how they get blown up and plowed
This is crazy to see. You can barely ride that track now. It's extremely over grown. I want to return with a chain saw and weed whacker but not sure the laws and such since it's public land
I wanna send this sometime, been eyeing it up for a while. also btw theres a new short but sweet jump trail at Brandywine by Ramsey's
Yeah unfortunately there is a big tree down at the bottom so this is currently un-rideable, hopefully someone clears it eventually, but since this isn't an actual trail I doubt it. I haven't been to Brandywine in a long time, but I will have to find that jump trail next time I'm there, thanks for the heads up!
This line was so sick. I went and found it after this video last year. Also inspired me to go find the jump line at Harmony Hill which is still there but now there's a house there (so kind of a no go on the rebuild). Do you build in the tri-state area? If so I'd love to get in contact with you because some of these rouge trails aren't getting the care and attention they need.
Caleb, sorry but I don't build any trails, just enjoy others' hard work. Glad you found these lines though they are a lot of fun!
if you wanna do some trail building I just started a free ride area in an old pit quarry near Kennett Square
@@abox102 I’d gladly come help whenever I could, what kind of line we talking about tho
@@abox102still diggin?
Where would I find that 30ft gap?
You need to walk down the stairs at the pagoda, follow the trail next to the wall on your right and then take a sharp left near the end of the wall onto a really steep rocky trail the gap is a few hundred yards down that way. Good Luck!
Hi - Thanks for the videos. I live in NC but will be coming up to the Wilmington/PA area to see family in a couple of weeks. Are there any trails around that have jumps?
If you're looking for jumps the best place to go is Mount Penn in Reading PA. Its a public park with a jump trail called A-Line that's easy to find on their trail map. They also have some way bigger jumps (namely the airlines) that aren't marked. Other than that there's not much in the way of jump spots that are easy to find around here. There are a few secret spots but they're going to be much harder to find without someone to show you where they're at.
@@northeastmtb1575 I’ll have to take a look at Mount Penn. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! Are there more jump trails anywhere or is there just the one jump you showed in the video?
Leaves, they are tricky but luckily softer to fall on too. Glad you're okay.
awesome. :)
Thanks buddy.
Your underrated nice video btw
Thanks man!
I was just there. The only way I could get to it was via the other trails, as others have said, the surrounding field is overgrown and the track is tough to see from a distance. First time on a track like this so I can't say if it is good or bad, but my family liked it.
Do you mind giving me direction toward these I live near Kerr park and build dirt jumps. Would love to rebuild, these
Unfortunately someone bought the land these jumps were on so you won't be able to build/ride them anymore :(
Would you mind sharing where you build dirt jumps at? I’m fairly close to Kerr park and am always looking for more places to ride jumps, so if they are available to the public I’d love to message you through email to know the location. Thanks, Chase

No idea. They were awesome though.
@@northeastmtb1575 Do you have an Instagram?
Nope just UA-cam sorry.
Yeah Its cool 👌🏼
Sacred spot. Noice
what’s your camera set up it looks sweet!
Thanks, it's a GoPro Hero 6 Black. the video's actually 1080p 60 FPS not 4K but if you upload as 4K it tricks UA-cam into playing it at higher quality than it would normal 1080p XD.
Where is that trail? Thanks
You’ll have to ask around, anyone who rides in the area will probably know where it is.
NorthEastMTB yes but which area? :)
Philadelphia PA. Mountain bikers might not be as familiar with it but I promise if you find some BMX guys they will know.
I am not going to provide any specific locations on UA-cam. As I mentioned above if you ask around in the local BMX or MTB communities you should be able to figure out where to find this line.
Hell yeah. 1 of my favorite trails great job
Thanks man.
About time you made it over there! Nice run 🤘🤘
Thanks man, I heard about this place ages ago, but never bothered checking it out cuz I'm no good at proper BMX trails, I had no idea they had a MTB line, so this was quite a pleasant surprise!
@@northeastmtb1575 did you peep the bigger mtb one being built off to the left of this one?
Yeah I was confused about that, all I can see is a kicker, followed by what has to be like 40 foot of flat, and then like a bowl into another MASSIVE kicker. As is it doesn’t look physically possible you would be going so fast. I’m hoping they just haven’t gotten to building the landing a yet haha...
How scary are these jumps to hit compared to the airlines jump at mt penn
Personally I was more scared my first time on the Airlines, but that's not really a fair comparison. My first time on the Airlines I was on my 130mm trail bike, I had no one to tow me in, and I had never hit a gap jump anywhere near that big. My first time on Fort Hill I was on a downhill bike, someone towed me in, and I've gotten a lot better at jumping. All things held constant while the Airlines is sketchier, I'd say Fort Hill should be scarier, or at least more mentally draining since the consequences are higher, and there's so many more jumps, so you're not done after the first scary one XD. Have you hit the Airlines before?
NorthEastMTB hahaha no i haven't but I have a goal to hit airlines and the full fort hill jump line by the end of high school. We'll see how it goes!! PS: You're an awesome UA-camr anytime i need to look at something to hit on the east coast I go right to your channel! Keep making the great vids!
Thanks a lot man, and good luck!
Shame they don't put more resources into Blue.
It is a shame. They have great tech, just no flow trails seems like everything, even their jump lines are covered in shale.
When did you get that new camera? It looks great!
Thanks man, my wife got it for me for xmas last year its a big step up from my Hero 1 haha
yeah! 👌

Well hope you get to ride it someday, this was my first time riding anything near that big.
Nice work. Come along way since Brandywine and White Clay videos
Thanks a lot man this was definitely a big step for me.
Yo that’s massive! 🤘🏼 Those close calls tho 😅
I know, especially the front case on the hip, I was like 6 inches from completely destroying myself haha.
NorthEastMTB haha saved it! Live to ride another day 🙌🏼
Awesome job!!!!
Thanks!
So sick! Nice work cleaning the whole thing!
Greatly appreciated, there were some close calls but it all worked out!
Hey man! Been watching ur vids for a long time now and am thinking of hitting the airlines 30 footer at mt penn. I was wondering if you know if you have to pedal at all after you take the steep sort of drop in line leading up to it?
Henry, yes you definitely need to pedal!!! So for reference my 27.5" YT has a 34T in the front, and for the Airlines I'm usually on gear 6 of my 7 speed in the back, so that's the 10 tooth cog. Hopefully you can do the math to find a similar gear on your bike. In that gear, after I make the turn (and usually slide a bit) I pedal HARD, and I probably get 4 or 5 strokes in before the jump. If you don't pedal you will land flat, but you really can't go too fast because of the turn, so you should basically try to go as fast as you can within reason. The trick is really hitting that turn just right so you don't slide out, but so you maintain as much speed as possible. Note that I have not been there in 2 years now so I have no idea what kind of condition the jump is in. Also I usually clear all the little rocks off the turn, the lip and and the landing just to make sure an unexpected slip doesn't ruin my day/season. Good Luck and let me know how the jump looks if you make it up there!
NorthEastMTB Thank you SO much for the tips!! I will for sure be letting you know if I end up hitting it and i was there a few weeks ago and it seemed to be in pretty good shape however I’ll probably bring a shovel and fix it up a bit before I hit it! You’re awesome!!!❤️❤️
That new hip jump is awesome

Yep this video's quality is better than the other one.
Yeah the 4K trick seems to work!
