The Encounter | Rough Draft Animation
Переглядів 1972 місяці тому
Hi there, here is the rough draft of the animation I've been working on for the past month. Honestly, I'm a bit let down by the ending as I feel like I could've added a bit more finesse. But alas, I have no more mental strength to continue this one. So I hope you all enjoy this VERY ROUGH draft :) #2danimationtutorial #animation #animatedfilms #animationtutorial #animationvideo #shortfilms

REAL PROGRESS STARTS AT 26:09 Had some technical difficulties again... but at least it's not lagging!
count me in on your journey, I wish you the best for! I got huge respect for your will to keep going and thats definetly something I need to learn if I want to follow my own creative visions If you keep going, your dream wont be just a dream anymore and I see a bright future of yours.. I`ll definetly stay tuned for more
Thank you so much for the kind words, we both got this!
I noticed you just do straight ahead animation That’s actually pretty hard! You should absolutely try the pose to pose approach A lot more easier to handle movement Straight ahead is great for elements or flowing stuff like a flag for example
I’ve been trying to do so in more recent animations, but yeah I was definitely shooting myself in the foot earlier on
Hi, great video, what program are you using for your animations?
I use Adobe animate :)
@@cosmeau99 oh cool!!
Love your videos, and why did you start animating? Keep it up!❤
Thank you! I started because my dream as a kid was to become an animated movie director for movies I watched as a kid like brother bear. I also felt like I needed da creative outlet so I thought why not start something I’ve always wanted to do!
I think I mostly struggle at finding the right workflow. E.g., when to draw frame-by-frame as opposed to duplicate the frame and distort. Another thing that troubles me is picking the ideal software and hardware to animate in. I mean, I have a drawing tablet but it’s way less comfortable to use than my iPad.
My biggest struggle is finding the motivation to do full animations instead of only doing studies all the time. I’m trying to combo at this by doing animation collabs in different communities maybe you might find that interesting to you as well!
Sounds like a great idea! I was thinking of doing something along those lines, maybe I'll find someone who can do sfx!
This is so cool man! I've just created a channel where I post my animations(and more). I'm so far 2 months into my studies in animation. Love to see more updates like this! Keep it up!
@@studio_bin_youtube that’s great to hear! Good luck on your journey :)
Animating with zero experience?........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I can relate.
Just saw your animation pilot… dude it was totally awesome, hopefully I can make something like that in the future!
@@cosmeau99 Thank you! ^^
You are the exact channel I have been needing and looking for! I want to animate really bad. Thank you for your informative videos! What are some tips on getting started? For example, do you recommend specific software/programs? Do you use a specific drawing tablet? I hope to learn much from you bro!
I’m so happy to hear that! Idk how qualified I am to provide tips but, I’ll do my best: A really powerful and more importantly FREE software you could use which is similar to Adobe animate (which is what I use) is Krita. I use the very most basic Huion drawing tablet. It has different settings and buttons but I never use them so the bling isn’t necessary! I hope I can be of more help in the future :)
@@cosmeau99 Thanks, man. I really appreciate it. I look forward to your future content.
Ong u are improving so fast
I’m also just learning to animate!!! It’s really nice to see others also in the same path as me :) Can i ask what program are u using? Good luck with your animation journey ✨
@@AvaGr8ce I’m using Adobe animate! Although Krita is a good free alternative :)
@@cosmeau99 aa ok! i'm using procreate for now but starting to use krita :) it's just always a lil more complicated to navigate open source softwares.. like I wanna learn blender grease pencil but it's so scary 😭😭
@@AvaGr8ce yeah I agree I gave up on Krita honestly cause I got too frustrated.
Hey I just found you. I been looking for people who do animation and stuff about it. I just started trying to do some animating myself. Basically starting from zero experience as well. You gave me an idea to maybe Chronicle my effort and maybe put that up to show. Anyway, I subbed and I guess I'll be keeping up with your stuff.
@@NonWinner-iamloser that’s awesome to hear, good luck on your journey!
Brooooo has afew subs here lemme help u out imma sub
surely this only would work if u had the money to afford not working or getting a graphics tablet
SLAYYYYYY 💅💅💅
Zero experience... Right... 😑
Hey bro i recently got into animation but i am really confused as to whom i should follow as a teacher to learn animation. Would love if you could recommend some youtubers
I highly suggest Dong Chang here on UA-cam. He has a lot of good insight into the industry and principles of animation :)
Great work. I would say if you want to learn principals, don’t be afraid to animate shapes like rigged cut out type characters that way you can just focus on movement and not drawing volumes and anatomy from different angles. Lipsyncing can also be satisfying.
What tools you made animated/?
I never watch live streams. Its just not the format for me. I'm very happy to have a recap though! Thanks!
Fair enough :)
Don't animate at 30fps, set the frame rate to 24fps for many good reasons... i really want to see you become a professional animator in the future
I've been thinking about it for a while now, I was just worried I may be too used to 30 fps. I'll change after this fight scene is done though. It will just take some getting used to :)
lets goooo!!!
first ! amazing progress keep it up love watching these
Appreciate it!
The audio isn't synced up, liekly due to the output lag on the video portion. I will try and download the raw VOD footage and post that if possible :)
what animation software is this?
Adobe Animate :)
It looks very good 👌
It's really cool, keep it up!
Spent a lot of time on the first bit of dodging bullets, so the rest isn’t too polished even for a rough draft
You are close to 1000
yes! very excited :)
what software do you use to animate
Adobe animate
Man so good 💯
as an animator with a little more exparience I can confidently say that you did an amazing job!! Your principles are very solid and everything you drew feels alive. Keep it up :)
Thank you so much 😀
Tutorial pls
Unfortunately, I'm still learning myself so I don't know how useful a tutorial would be haha
@@cosmeau99 oh then I'm will wait you when you become pro in animation
about 6 years ago i decided to start animating because i was obsessed with animations on here. did none of this except like the ball bounce 💀 um!! now im capable of good animation just through personal trial and error over time but have ZERO patience or motivation anymore for it as it isn’t an interest anymore :( but animating to songs is really really fun i still try to do little animations from time to time but this video kinda makes me wanna get back into it
You should! The key is to animate whatever makes you happy, and at a pace that isn't too taxing. I look forward to seeing some of your work :)
Awh, did you upload some of your projects somewhere else? 👀 Wishing you the best, I hope something gives you that spark again!
ty both :3 i think i will once i have the free time, just have to find out what. i made another ball bounce animation yesterday! also @ashoka7273 since u asked, should have a playlist of my old animation memes on my channel but they’re not great and cringe (to me) and my art has improved a lot since then, if i get back into animation i might start posting again? it was fun :D
Cool video, what tablet and software do you animate on?
The most basic huion tablet there is (not sure the model name sorry) and Adobe animate
Keep rocking sir 🤟🤟🤟 from Phillipines
Hi everyone, I've received questions about tips I may have for those starting out, so I thought I'd make this video of some more "niche" tips I've come across. Timestamps in the description!
u earned a new sub! keep it up sir! 🫡 i'm in my 18th day of learning drawing again
Thank you, welcome, and good luck! :)
Really, is impressive the determination put in your work, weell done!

Great video dawg, keep it up!
