Wis I could've seen it before demolition, building was built in the early to mid 1900s and abandoned in 1984.

Lucky for you law enforcement will never be able to figure out who made this video, because burglary is fine as long as you are only taking video.
I cant see you're putting in effort, but maybe consider making some changes for a better outcome, Your videos are beginner and hard to watch 👎🏼
Remember when they use to picket out front during the strikes.
That’s a beautiful liminal space. Nice video!
Wow ! Beautiful building. The brick work looks so nice at the start of the video.
Very nice video
I live one town over. This was a beautiful building; it is a damn shame to see what has become of it. I actually have a photo of my Great-Grandfather working on the largest gear that this shop ever produced; it's roughly 3 1/2-4' across, at the widest point.
we have a Jones and Lamson dual spindle automatic lathe, model PFM-6. great machine. crazy to think it was made in that building.
Can remember telling my dad how many factory smoke stacks we could see while up in trees before it got dark back in the early 1960's. Thought they were bad because of the dirty smoke. He explained that every smokestack might employ a few hundred workers workers that put a roof under them& plenty of food on the table. Most have closed up. Thanks for the vidio.
Never knew about this, wicked interesting location!
@j-mass Thanks man! I do have a question for you, I was planning on visiting lakeville hospital and was wondering how you got into the building?
@@gavinJ_ I went down an empty driveway beside the storage facility and went through the fence-although keep in mind, this was a year ago in September 2023. I’ve heard that security has ramped up a bit since then, including alarms and motion sensors.
you need to watch your own videos to see how bad they are your camera and lighting suck SLOW DOWN LET US SEE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING AT you can get sea sick watching them
nice video but your camera skills suck slow down let us see what you are looking at its like watching my car windshield wipers
Sketchy, a word ccx that is so overused .
Wasn't there a fire in part of that Mill back in the 80's
@@DanielWhalen-m8w I do not know of any fires other than the occasional bonfires from squatters
The most important thing is Safty, not falling through the floors. Great video btw.
Wow.There's soooo many graves everywhere
I enjoy your videos but you have to slow down on your panning left and right. I was getting very dizzy and had to stop watching. Thanks
Do you have permission to go in this place, or are you trespassing?
What's it to you?
I might like to see the place too.
@UQRXD there are some no trespassing signs but there ain't any cameras to stop you
@@gavinJ_ Thanks.
Nice video@
Thanks man!
Imagine it in it's day. Probably very impressive. Its a shame they let it go.
Thank you for sharing❤
Totally awesome I'm in central New York and its so good to see someone showing it's history. It is such a pretty state.
This place looks dope
I love this place. I was lucky enough to film and explore it almost ten years ago a few times. The place is wired up with live feed cameras. I'm surprised you didn't have trouble with the local police. They showed up in 10 minutes last time my friend wandered in.
Nice video, great find dude! Looks like a sick spot!
And keep your finger out of the camera.
You need to work on your camera holding and moving skills. Wide zoom lets up see the room better.
You are looking at ,in beginning, is the remains of Indeck Energy TF powerplant that sold steam to Strathmore paper. (the old wooden buildings) It was a 23 Megawatt coal fired steam plant built 1987-1989 Around 1995 Strathmore shutdown and Indeck's electrical contract with Unitil was bought out. Indeck TF ended operations in Dec 1997.The large "tower" was the coal silo. In 2006, the main equipment was dismantled and shipped overseas ,all that's left is the concrete foundations
Made in china now ?

As to my comments on your last video, the large diesel engine, was a " back up " to the main turbine in the turbine hall, most large paper mills had their own generation plant, this was not only to supply electricity, but steam to the mills paper making machines.. Our own paper mill closed 6 years ago and the main buildings/ machines demolished, but power station remains, it had two large oil fired boilers and a turbine of around the same size as the one in your mill.. Jaeger engines were also used a variety of plant machinery, including Barber Greene loaders and road pavers of the 1950s..
Good to know! Is the power plant near you still abandoned? If so, where is it?
I recall this place...the MA pulp/paper industry has been dying a long time..is the Erving MA factory still operating?
Erving paper is still in operation, in fact they made some stuff for this mill! Though there is an abandoned mill in erving that is very interesting
Nice video guys, the mill was most likely steam horizontal engine powered at first, then converted to steam turbine ( as power station ) as can see boilers and coal feeders, finally converted,,using a big diesel engine connected to a generator set...
Very cool information, thanks!
I got a chance to fly here a month ago! Great location! Enjoyed the vid!
Wow, very cool spot! Looks like a fun place to explore!
Looks cool and easy to get to for exploring
New favorite explorer can’t wait to see more
Was it tricky getting inside? Last I went, I saw cameras all around.
I was only able to get in because a worker had left a door open, and I didn't see any cams inside.
Wow, wicked cool! I didn’t know that this place was still accessible, I’ll have to check it out sometime soon!
Hey Jmass, ya may want to see this one soon, they want to tear it down by the end of the summer.
I’m from Easthampton, and the story behind this building becoming abandoned is that during the first superbowl the patriots got, after we won, some guy let off a bomb in one of the mill buildings (I think the one your exploring) and since then the owners never fixed it, and it’s just fallen quickly into decay, however, they are working on fixing it.
This building was owned by the hampton mills, as far as I read it was shut down in the 60s, decay from this building shows that it has been abandoned for at least 30 years. The mills shown were never bombed.
I want to find that place and fly around
It's in turner's falls MA, right next to the Connecticut River.
Do you have coordinates or address to this place?
It's located at Monroe Bridge overlook
Wow, this looks like a dope spot!
There's lots more to it than what I filmed too! It's a cool spot.
What a shame. Someone should clean this up.
love the content you create keep up the good work
Where can I find directions to this place?
I think you where close to my house lol
Been shooting and filming here for 9 years now. One of my favorite places ever. I'm glad to see other people enjoying it. Also, there's no alarms to worry about and the basement and power plant are AWESOME. There's a video WAYYYY down the list on my page that shows the inside.
Good to know, I had heard that the top floor had motion sensors, so I was very cautious about it. As for the basement, I tried to go down to it but got a bad feeling about it.
Explored and filmed here a few times, too. Nice video!
Thanks!
dude i was gonna try and do this but i got sick 💀
While I don't recommend it, the gate is wide open and the only thing separating the main part from the stables is a sheet of plastic.
