Hmm. I don't see where I said anything that contradicts anything you said... I feel that both sides of the divide on this issue can be short-sighted and moronic. I fully believe in common decency, but disagree with forcing ANY ideology upon others. I'm against the gaslighting that happens when a bad game gets panned, but has 'progressive themes' or 'wide representation', so those who disliked the inarguably bad game are all now (fill in the blank)-ists. I dislike the fact that, if a female character isn't a 10/10 with T&A, the game is a woke-agenda... blah blah blah. Could be - isn't by default. It's just getting so messy out there. I miss the more lighthearted days where streamers could just talk shit and play games. Games that were designed to be fun ways to waste away time until our inevitable demise... People will be quick to react to my video without even watching it. Basically, once I front-loaded the "that's why I stopped watching..." I 'doomed' myself to downvotes. It was doing well at a 50/50 split, but obviously I've been hit by a bunch of kids who just want to shit on the video because they think they know what it contains. I don't dislike Asmongold. @@greydaygames Asmongold has always been center left. From a center left perspective he wasn't wrong. An inferior culture is one where the society is unstable, economic growth doesn't exist, and it's only purpose is to disrupt society. Which ranges from terrorist organizations of the Middle East to something more local like woke culture, ANTIFA, and white nationalism. Asmongold meant it from the social progressive perspective, as women, gays, and trans people don't have equal rights there and most likely will not within our lifetime. Where I feel no empathy for Asmongold is that he surrounded himself with the far left, his stream team, PC company, and the platform are all far left. It was only a matter time before he said something that would get him cancelled.

Good point. I also believe that, like he has admitted himself, being constantly surrounded by the same negative stories, over and over, you start to think that is ALL there is. It's easy to do and so many people do it on a daily basis. Those people just don't have millions of eyes on them. Should he be held to a different standard? I dunno.

There is no question that he WILL come back. I very much doubt that anything will have happened on his end. His viewerbase will not have suffered whatsoever probably and he will just continue as usual (he confirmed as much), just that he will keep himself in check supposedly with how he will say it in the future when it is a far more complex topic like the one that burned him there. For example his commentary and critique on DEI will continue (which technically still falls under games and gaming content as the weird focus on it instead of quality often ruins it many times in case of AAA Studios).

It took some proverbial punches to the gut in MY early 30s to realize I still hadn't quite figured shit out. I think he'll be better off after this all settles.
