Join Ken Wright Cellars and their team as they discuss the behind-the-scenes stories that happen in the vineyard, winery, tasting room and beyond in Oregon wine country.
At Ken Wright Cellars, decades of wine making have taught a simple truth: Source is everything. Located in rural Carlton, Oregon, we specializes in the production of single vineyard Pinot noir. With a clarity and breadth that is unequaled by other varietals, we believe Pinot noir to be the ultimate vehicle for expressing place. Rather than tamping wine with an overriding varietal characteristics, Pinot noir conveys the aroma, flavor and textural qualities of the location in which it is grown.

Wonderful video! Well done Ken and team! Really communicates a snapshot of what makes your wines so special.
Hi Ken! I am 57 and have found wine in the last couple of years and am immersed in learning everything I can about viticulture, culinary overlapping, retail culture, ava influence (PLACE) and how my understanding of wine can benefit the people I share wine with. I am retired and going through everything WSET online as a prep course for their tests. First of all, thank you Sir. I just opened a 2020 Yamhill Carlton blend Pinot Noir with the same label. I was absolutely inspired when I nosed my glass. The cherries and strawberries black tea and wet bark notes with a hidden but detectable pencil lead/graphite minerality note swelled on the tongue. The tannins come over soft but are ever present and the acidity is perfectly balanced making my glass of Pinot quite lovely. There is also a note of tart apricot in finish which does go on and on rather nicely. This bottle (just under $25) punches well above expectation and price point. I would buy this by the case if I could!!! Keep making wine please!!! Cheers!
Hi Michael, Thank you for your comment. We’re so glad you have found our wine and enjoy the experience of connecting Pinot to place. It’s an incredible feeling! If you haven’t yet- check out our single vineyard selections! We have also been highlighting vineyards on our instagram page @kwcellars and I think you may enjoy those videos! More coming soon to UA-cam.
I have major neck surgery on the 26th so I will have to wait until I am off meds and then save a little and find those bottles! I look forward to where these wines take me!!!@@kwcellars

Marvelous discussion between Ken and Paul. Every time I listen to Ken I learn something new. I have some of Ken's wines in my cellar including his Pinot Blanc. The only Pinot I have tasted as yet was a 2018 Tanager and it blew be away. I love the fact that the ABV levels are low by today's standards. High alcohol wines are such a turn-off. More of these discussions please.
Informative as always.
Wookies like wine?
Ken is like a college professor. If you are willing to listen, you will learn a lot.
I just found out about Ken's wines this year. I read the Wine Enthusiasts' ratings one issue on Pinot Noir and saw that Ken's various bottlings all received high ratings. I am now a Wine Club member and enjoy the wines tremendously. I also enjoy listening to Ken talk about how fines wines are made from the growing of the grapes to the cellaring. Really interesting and first-class.
Wow, how exciting! It's like a music fan listening to Bernstein and Serkin discuss Beethoven and Mozart. I am a Wine Club enrollee in Ken Wright Vineyards and love his wines. He also makes a Pinot Blanc and a Rose that are wonderful. His Chardonnay is one I haven't tasted yet but I'm sure is outstanding. I have not ever tasted Corison wines but I will remedy that soon. Such a wonderful conversation and so enlightening. Thanks to Jordan Mackay for emceeing.
Love these videos and descriptions. Keep them coming!
I so agree with you, Ken. California Pinot Noir sucks!!
Always nice to see your smiling face, Ken. Jeanne Kennedy.

Great conversation. I've been enjoying KW wines since our first visit in 2005. I look forward to trying the Corison wine.
Ordered three bottles for Christmas dinner!
Just bought this on Thursday. Planning to enjoy it this weekend.
Ken, you are the master of the best of the Willamette Valley. Love your wine’s.
Seth looks like he needs the barber shops to open back up....
So hard to watch you dump that delicious wine... lol. Thanks for sharing a small portion of your wealth of information Ken!! Looking forward to spending another harvest with the whole Ken Wright Cellars clan. Amazing group led by an awesome man and his lovely wife.
This is why Ken Wright wines are great. Passion !
I enjoyed this virtual tasting, Joylin and Ken. I am a northwest club member and just received the spring wines today. I am one of those who has enjoyed Ken Wright wines since 1987 and even started with a bottle of 1986 which came to Oregon with Ken from California. I haven't tasted a one I didn't like. Ken and the crew make stellar wines and I have many in my cellar and drink them often. Good job guys. Jeanne
Thanks for the informative presentation and background/history. Looking forward to seeing you again in person once we all get through this. Best of health to all!
So the aplomado isn't going to eat the other birds? My understanding is if your bird is not in the right condition (I.E. hungry) then you run a big risk of losing said raptor. Can you elaborate on this?
