Horrible service and incompetent lazy workers. They charge $150 an hour for this "quality" of work. If anyone knows the fix for this let me know, I'm thinking maybe something is wrong with the factory amp?

I used Honeywell PTM7950, you can't buy it directly from the company because they only sell it in bulk. I had to buy off ebay, if you do get it then make sure you are getting the Honeywell brand. My original video - ua-cam.com/video/HY3rJ9l-fNI/v-deo.htmlsi=2RqGG4j3isFo0vnh

NIce review, thank you. Are the two 2.5gbit LAN ports realtek or intel? If intel, i225v B3 or i226v? Thanks.
I'm not sure honestly, and I can't check since I sold the thing, sorry.
Can now get this for 230USD, bit of a bargain.
Much more appropriate price.
Can you measure the power consumption with and without the 4070
everyone who wants use normal wersion of windows with standard hardware should know that stability of hardware and software (specialy drivers) is not best. My computer usually can stand one week uptime and after that strange things happens: sometimes it loose network connection, sound stop working or programs can freeze. Also windows frequently want install some updates and forcing reboots so you never know when aomething stop working. Ofcourse your hardware may behave better but you never know.
I use the PC mainly for Autodesk fusion for hobby use. Would this mini pc be right for me?
Run oobe/bypassnro from the installer that will bypass the Microsoft account requirement
how much was this build?
Cost me about 1k.
@@GrumpyWolfTech I assume this is USA Dollars so it would be like 1500 for AUD
Hey there. I am totally new to cpu gaming, I would just assume it uses the gpu when firing things up but it doesn't... how on earth do you set up everything properly?
Did you compare the thermals with the fan the other way up so it sucks air through the sides of the heatsink and pulls it out the top?
no, pulling cold air from the outside of the case is always better than pulling warm air from inside the case.
What screws did you secure the fan with? Mine didn't come with the right size...
It depends what fan you get, if you buy a normal thickness fan it works fine, if you buy a thinner fan you need to cut the screws. I ended up clipping off the ends of a couple of the screws
@GrumpyWolfTech I've since realised the screws were missing from my box!
Just found one for 1049.99 excellent condition open box, couldn’t let that deal go hopefully there’s no temp issues with it.
I've had none at all and mine mostly is mounted to a wall closed. Which is not the ideal way to run a laptop.
Nas server🔥🔥🔥
This is incredibly well put together video, you even did comparison between this one and Dekstop CPU which i couldn't find anywhere else. Thank you so much 👍🤗
I actually bought the newer version with the 7945hx also, just waiting for it to arrive, gonna be completely replacing my 7950x.
I did ask aloud "Who uses Windows?" at that point but you're right. If you're not familiar with the alternatives it'll probably work out worse.
Just got a pair and photos work but when I record video I can hear my audio showing only a black screen.
Brother, you've done a great job with this review and your benchmarking. I hope you keep it up and get on par with the other tech bros! Liked, subscribed, and looking forward to picking up this same laptop tomorrow. Open Box at BestBuy like yours for 1530, I think that's a damn good deal! Thank you.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Seen similar ones called H33, was thinking to use for live action like chainsaw cutting & other tools, the sound is ok can be fixed but the quality kind of bad, still thinking of something that records what I see & a gopro kind of looks annoing to wear, that little cam insta360 still needs a hat to wear, the rayband only records vertical, still thinking of glasses may be future will bring something better
I am assuming this case can be used for a full pc build out yes? I want a full pc buildout with hot swap bays and a thunderbolt option for upgradable graphics in an eGPU enclosure.
I would suggest anyone with any laptop to delete their harddrive and all the brand bloatware. Install a fresh windows and disable the bloatware from re-installing. Install Ghelper instead, its a one program + very minimal laptop controller app. I would just like to say that this would be the perfect high-end open-box budget laptop if it had a 500 nits monitor....Amazing ABSOLUTELY AMAZING THEY would put a 300 nits monitor on a $2500+ laptop. Big Shame. I dont think you ever mentioned the specs on the monitor/screen?? I had to check a data sheet. I just reserved one in excellent condition for $1515.99 and im really jelly about those who got it for $1200? what the hell??? Mine comes with 32gb RAM and I would mainly use it for the specs. I would only use the laptop monitor during traveling so hopefully 300 nits isnt that bad. Lastly, great review. Very much like the other professionals who review laptops. Great job.
The main question is whether they have been able to create a cooling system that keeps the processor at around 80-90 degrees during a stress test? Because all the Alienwares on Intel go into 100-degree throttling literally 2 seconds after the stress test starts.
is this Noc-tuah related to Hawk-tuah in anyway?
It rhymes, but was unrelated.
Sure😄
That is a really nice case
Swiss cheese case :P
@ what is the name of it? I was searching for it but couldn’t find
@@Shoo8601 You won't find it, it was literally just a generic case on amazon that isn't for sale anymore.
Honestly, this case looks like it compares favorably to a lot of others I’ve seen-do you have any kind of model or identifier for it? Anyway, thanks for the vid, good stuff, subbed
it was legit just some cheap Chinese case, no model or anything, the amazon listing is long gone, it was just called "Computer Case Metal Mini ITX Mother Board PC Case Support SFX Power Supply Transparent Acrylic Side Panel." Thank you for the sub, I appreciate it :)
3:30 silly question but what kind of scissors are these, they look incredibly useful for these situations with blisterpacks
I believe they are called "pinking shears" they are meant for fabric. I found them when I was cleaning out my grandmas house after we sent her to a nursing home. They are great for cutting through heavy stuff.
I just bought a recon air for Xbox, everything works very well, I have no complaints (a little more volume would be appreciated he he) but it is true, for people like me.. the earpods after about an hour of use it, if it starts to cause pain, and I was even about to return it on Amazon but I saw a video of a guy who recommended using noise plugs, I tried it and it works perfectly, even the sound improved noticeably because, in addition to comfort, it causes isolation acoustic. noise, seriously, anyone who is bothered by this type of headphones should try it.
B580 isn't quite as good, but a lot cheaper. That would have been a fun comparison.
The card came out a few days after I bought the 4070, and you're right, it's a great card for the price. But even if it came out before I got the 4070 I would have still bought the 4070. I wanted something as powerful as possible and got on a 2 slot case. I also only paid 470 for this card.
Decent price for one of those rn.
Good stuff. Always wanted to try a 'small' build but use it for a HTPC. This would really fit the bill with size and performance.
this was hands down one of the best boss battles i have ever been in! this was so intense! what a way to end the expansion!!
Nice build but come on with the windows :D
hey man are u using the Canon - EOS R100 4K Video Mirrorless Camera right here?
no, galaxy s23+
Thank you for the time and effort you put into your video on the CS382 setup. I recently moved one of my workstations/servers to a CS382 Silverstone NAS case with Windows 11 Pro as my base server, utilizing Storage Spaces. I wanted to keep things simple. Currently, it serves as my workstation and main Plex server, managing all my media, including TV shows, movies, music, pictures, and backups from old PCs. I have a second Plex server that is essentially a storage space running Windows 11 Pro in a Fractal Meshify 2 case. I’m working on transferring it to a second CS382 case to set it up solely as a Plex storage server. I wanted a straightforward way to store my media and documents, and Windows Storage Spaces does that without the need for Docker and other add-ons. If I ever need those, I’ll use a separate server or workstation for them. Your setup and methods have been really inspiring. Remember, no matter what others may say or suggest, it’s your creation to enjoy. Thanks again!
Please give me link for download irst , and how to disable vmd in bios ?
I really like this laptop but I think I'm just gonna get something similar spec-wise which comes out next year
My server with dual Xeon's and 512gb of ram, I use Windows as well, Windows 10 Enterprise, your right, use what you are familiar with, I've gotten some flack about it as well, but hey its does exactly what I want it to do and has been for years now. I don't personally like to fight with an OS when it doesn't like something when I can just install a different OS that does everything I want anyway.
Bro may I ask what type of OpenBox choice you buy for your unit? Is it Excellent, Good or Fair? Thanks
You can adjust the size of the screen if the device supports it, the Steam Deck allows you to adjust the size to make it scale smaller
This isn't a steam deck, or running on steam os.
@ I also stated if the device supports it. That means while using the glasses on a device (as they are mentioned to be used, steam deck, phone, widows handhelds, desktops, etc..) you can often “scale” the display. By doing that you will shrink the screen size. Please try not to come off as being condescending when you don’t know what you are talking about.
Hi man and thanks for the interesting review! I'd love to know fi you mounted it in a rack or if you keep it as a tower. I'd really love to use one in a rack so i'm looking around about it. Anyway i'm one of those who can't very well understand why someone would choose windows server for this use-cases but i'm also one who lives by "if it works don't change it" so i can understand. Still i would feel bad not pointing out what i would do differently if you reading this are thinking about doing something like this. First i'd use proxmox that it's an open-source-free hypervisor ( virtual machine manager ) who has snapshot capabilities and other easy way to backup and it's no more than an afternoon of "work" to set up, even if starting as a newbie to linux. If you just want to use it to create a windows vm as a gaming pc and a backup it's probably even less time and you have an added layer to access your pc in case something happens ( starting and turning off Windows remotely, controlling it, repairing it, easy reinstalling etc.. ) Case in point about the video- AMD drivers. Using proxmox and its drivers you could easily pass virtual cores to a windows server VM without problem ( if you can virtualize windows server, which i believe so but i never used it. ) Anyway, i don't understand why the complicated "download from the server fast" bit when you can simply play directly from it...? ( via parsec or even more simply steam direct play ) Proxmox or not, with your setup i would simply fill the server with a big GPU an even bigger CPU ( if you have kids for example ) and then sell + replace all the other pcs high tier components with low power cheap ones, and directly game and work from the server. As i've said i never used windows server, but i'm sure that's one of the most useful feature about it - having multiple users with each is own set of resources. In Proxmox you would have to make a single VM for each account but no biggie, still would work great. Maybe i didn't get everything ( skipped the Hyper-V bit ) but it doesn't make lots of sense to me to have 1 server with the games stored and then download them on my local machine, with 2 cpus 2 gpus and all the rest involved. Maybe it's me. P.S: I feel the normal job and this as a hobby but... Switching from windows server to proxmox (for example) it's a rare video ( never seen one ) + all the " after 1 month/ after 3 months/ what i prefer in windows server vs proxmox( or other)/ what i miss the most/ Should you switch from windows server to proxmox(or other) etc. etc... " These are just the first titles for videos that came to my mind in one go, using your unique perspective of a player and advance homelab user with windows server.. It seems very valuable to me in terms of content. Anyway cheers and nice video!
@@lorenzonicastro8399 I do plan to do a short follow up showing my network setup. I also just bought a unifi 8 Port 2.5gb switch with 2 SFP+ ports for 10gb.
Would you happen to know if you can plug in 4 monitors in this PC case or does the case restrict some of the GPU ports?
I actually got rid of it a while ago and went with the newer revision, the meshroom s v2. It's basically the same case with some small tweeks. Right now I have 4 monitors plugged into it and it works fine. You just have to make sure you find feet that make is stand tall for your display ports and hdmi ports.
@@GrumpyWolfTech Appreciate the help! How about temps under load, GPU/CPU? I plan to use a 1080p, 540hz monitor and worried the CPU will jump up in temps. It's the only thing currently holding me back purchasing a Meshroom S V2. But maybe your experience has been different with temps?
I bought mine new a few month ago at best buy and I am still happy with it. Everything works fine, the screen problem after sleeping mode happened to me 2 / 3 times so far. Beside that, I am happy i got it for 1800 new since I have Desktop Computer at the moment.
IMO 1800 is too much. It is an excellent laptop but I don't know if I would have spent that much.
@@GrumpyWolfTech They havend had anything really good there and I was in a kind of a hurry. Wouldnt have had paid more. But so far it works very well. Like your channel
Why is my temperature reduced very nice after replacing the paste and a few days later it is hot like before? Any ideas?
BTX case
YES ANOTHER PERSON THAT DONT LIKE ASUS i dont like them cos there boards are crap and i mean the ones form 1997 dont like msi stand for More 5hit Inside,,,,thats what i do dvd or blu/ray cos they cant take them back
Thanks for a very detailed setup, I ordered the Silverstone CS382 after your video :) I saw that you have tried both SAS and SATA drives in your setup. Does the usual SAS to 4 sata port breakcout cable also work for SAS drives, if I have the LSI controller?
Just got this at bb for 1175 open box for a steal in excellent condition
I'm jealous lol
Was like 1300 with taxes but yeah i couldn't pass it up and i was gonna go for a 14 for portability 😅😅 how are you liking it so far?
@@juliand1819 writing this comment on it right now, lol. I love it, thing can compete with my desktop in gaming due to DLSS and raytracing just being better and I can still easily take it on the road. Probably my best purchase for a laptop and I've owned some sort of laptop at all times since the early 2000s.
I got one with 32gb ram for 1400, 1500 after taxes. Kinda wanna return/ sell for an Asus Zephyrus G16 instead bc of the beautiful OLED screen. But I got the AW-M16 at such a great price 😬
Your PSU is a fire hazard. Never skimp on a good PSU. Don't share by IP, always share by FQDN, DCHP can change. NVM, you got it.
The PSU is not a fire hazard, please do some research on different psu's before you comment. Also it sounds like you don't understand the difference between an internal and an external IP address. You can't dox me off that IP address since it's an internal IP address.
@@GrumpyWolfTech That PSU is trash. I'm a network engineer, this is what i do. I was referring to a non static IP, but you already said you set to static, so i said nevermind. Segotep has pretty bad reviews, and is on a lot of do not buy/buy at your own risk lists.
@@jdsim9173 I worked for MS in networking for 7 years, lol. Also I would love to know what reviews you are looking at. 2445 reviews on amazon. 4.5 stars. 4 out of 5 eggs on newegg, and the bad reviews were for the fan going bad after a couple years.
If you use a kind of linux and specialized NAS distros, perhaps you sata/SAS board will work as originally was. Windows is not the best NAS system, can be used to ? yes, but other are more recomended. All your problems listed in this video is because windows and compatibility with hardware as you wish, and windows dont let "you wish", it must be in the windows way. If you choose windows because games and steam, it can be solved with virtualization - and it make sense just if you use your NAS SERVER as a desktop, it makes no sense for me, or it is a desktop or it is a server, the two at same time cannot be. You must make a choice, and in my opinion, the best is turn this machine just a server, dumb server, without monitor, just management by ethernet/browser (as the majority of NAS systems do). And them into you pc/desktop you can make use of the services provided by the server, like a drive with the steam games (maybe a scsi drive exclusive for this). And the other things will work same as before.
What are you even talking about? If you are talking about the pcie card I had then no you are wrong since the card was literally defective. Secondly there was no "compatibility" issues. It was simply a matter of AMD not putting out server drivers for a board that wasn't designed for it.
Just got mine in today, really responsive & quick. Perfect purchase for someone like me who is in the road all the time
I've found a post on Level1Techs forum, where OP eventually was able to install all the drivers for X670E chipset on a Windows 2022 Server that Windows Update wouldn't find on its own. Since B650 is the same chipset family, it should work for you. He went to Microsoft Update Catalog and searched for drivers using their hardware ID. Post name is "AMD drivers for Windows server os?" and at the end he even posts links to all missing drivers. Hope it will work for you as well.
Does it get really hot?
I got rid of it years ago, don't know.
