Sometimes I just can't help but feel like I've been lucky compared to many other folks around here. I got a family who loves and cares about me and a promising education and future. And yet here I am, a autistic mess stuck with depression and agoraphobia and haven't been really happy for years. Time and time again, these feelings keeps invading my mind in the form of a depressive episode like a snake's bite and it's almost unbearable now (led to thoughts of hurting myself which I thankfully didn't act on.), it's like my heart's always been in pieces and I just couldn't be assed to even pick up one. I've been fighting this battle for half a decade at this point. I don't know if I can even handle it any longer, but I have to. Because life isn't life if it just doesn't kick your butt more than once. And because it's what makes us people, cuz even on our darkest days when life chews you up and spits you out, we toughen up, power through it together and hopefully reach that light even if we have to put it there myself. Because once you hit rock bottom, there's only one direction you can go from there. And that's upwards.

The only comfort with having depression is that the pain will someday end.

I listened to this playlist before walking alone to work last month. On my way there, a young sad looking lady with an accent in a car pulled up and tried to convince me to get in the car. She said she could give me a ride since shes headed the same way. and she recognized me from seeing me walk to the bakery many times, I almost got in but I decided to ask a few more questions. She didn’t know where I worked, she didn’t even know I had a son. (I bring him with me in a stroller when I leave) she begged me to believe her. She made me feel bad for her and guilty for not getting in the car. She seemed very disappointed and then slowly drove away
