Wasatch Crest - Park City's most epic trail!
Переглядів 99Місяць тому
Wasatch Crest from the top of Guardsman Pass all the way down to the Canyons has got to be one of the best rides in all of Park City. 13.65 miles long, dropping down 3k feet of elevation, amazing views, gorgeous trails, pretty epic!! Also usually pretty quiet, I have only ran into a handful of other riders and hikers both times I've ridden it. Free bus systems: High Valley Transit (bigger cover...
Flying through the trees in Park City - Pinecone Ridge and Seldom Seen - 3K feet of descending!
Переглядів 974Місяць тому
For this run, I start at Guardsman's Pass and take Scott's to Puke Hill, down Pinecone Ridge, over on Mid-Mountain, down part of Spiro, and then Seldom Seen. What an AWESOME couple trails! And I even come across a family of badgers out on their morning hike. Apologies for my bike sounding a little noisy, the bushing for the shock wasn't quite the right size as I found out later, but it made it ...

Went up to Park City again for a week of some amazing mountain biking, and spent one day at Deer Valley Resort (July 1st). I had just bolted on a brand new custom EXT Arma V3-s before packing the bike up to fly with us, so this was the first time I'd been able to do a ride with it. I love Deer Valley, can't wait for next time! Bike: 2023 Santa Cruz Megatower CC (XL) NOBL TR37 wheels Onyx Classi...

Eliminator and Bursera - South Mountain - Chunk for days!
Переглядів 522Рік тому
Eliminator is a trail I've wanted to check out for years, but it's kind of a tough one to get to unless you shuttle it, but even that is tough because the drop off point is on the other side of the mountain from where you end up. Lucky for me I have the Oso which did a fine job of hauling my butt up the trails to the top. It was a helluva trail! Bursera was also really fun, but also glad again ...

The Hawes Trails Association and a lot of volunteers have been hard at work on this brand new double black trail since the fall of 2022, and it finally opened on March 10th! We stopped to take a look at each feature, each having multiple lines usually, and I plan on riding this again soon to connect them all. SUCH great work by everyone to get it done! amazing trails man, quite a sight to see!
I plan to ride this in the fall. Been wantiing to get out there for a while now.
bad example with the e bike on USFS trails
Rad! I have seen bear scat on that trail, but that is sooo cool seeing a clip of the cub. I bet that was unnerving. I've crossed paths with bobcat and mountain lion on the road. It has been a few years since I've been on Six Shooter, and thanks to your vid it is good see there wasn't much (if any) fire damage. I've pedaled up that road several times and that will make ya mental. Thanks, dood!
Unnerving just a little! I figured his mom had to be somewhere nearby, but the brush right there was so tall I couldn’t see much. And it also just so happened to be where I had to get off the bike because of that tree so I was like daaaammm iiiittt. But yea, I’d like to come back maybe later this fall after they’ve come through and cut back the weeds.
@@AZMTB Absolutely! Pretty freaking defenseless at that point.
14:28 little man was NOT feeling the shred lol!
They were not thrilled 😆
I feel that "I already started to miss it 2 days ago." I do that constantly on vacation. The last full day there is the worst! It's so sad! And that kind of trail is my jam. That's all I want.
Good times 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great video! Man, those were some pretty good times. Can't wait till next year!
Amazing views on these trails man wow! Also thats a sweet bike! Cheers.
Thanks! Yea she likes to go fast!
E-bike at Hawes looks like the way to go! Looking fast
That had to be a KOM run. So fast.
Haha, it was actually a PR for me ("eMTB RMR Full Send") but not quick enough for the KOM by a long shot, basically 35 seconds off! There are some seriously fast dudes around here!
I put one on my Pole Voima and have quite a few runs on the trails there at Hawes and it’s way better than the RS Ultimate Deluxe
I run 500lbs and 97kgs fully geared, 600lbs isn't it excessive? How much do you weight?
I am 235 pounds, about 106 kg
Nice ride and vid dude. What gloves btw?
Tasco!
Love my Wild as well!
We will have to ride when I am in phx again soon, was there a few weeks ago and in the Emigos shop with my Rise.
Whats your frame?
XL M10
The Estoria wouldn't fit in my M sized 2024 Wild so I put the Arma on it.
Any clearance issues with the e-storia? Their site says it’s incompatible, but that might be bike size dependent. I’m also on an XL
No. I forget what the guy said but it’s compatible starting at a certain size, I think it was a medium.
@@AZMTB absolute legend - thanks man!
Just got one myself and absolutely love it. The motor does have a distinct noise on the descents when the pedals aren’t engaged, which I’m picking up on in your video as well. From your experience is this just a Bosch thing? Thanks!
It’s silent for me when I’m not spinning the pedals. Definitely has a whine when it’s under power.
I also got mine a couple of months ago, It is so good. If you ever want to coordinate a ride let me know!, I ride in northern Utah...
SOY BOY TOY
Nice ride!
I like it🎉😮
If you are getting factory suspension, why not just go M-Team? Just to save the couple hundred on stem, bars, cassette etc? How long did it take for them to build it?
The shop where I bought it had an allocation for an M10 or a Limited, so I went for the M10 with some upgrades 👍
@@AZMTB what does this mean? They cant simply order one? Edit: did some research. Didnt realize the bike industry worked this way. My local shop basically said it didnt matter and i can just order it online and it will get shipped to them. Im guessing margins are slim and the money maker is upselling/service etc
Doesn't exactly work like that, not here anyway. You can build a bike on my-orbea website, then it'll tell you what dealers in your area have an allocation for one to get it ordered. There was a Team version, but it was a few states away and I wanted to work with a bike shop (Emigos) that was about 20 minutes from me so I could bring it back for service whenever.
@@AZMTB strange. I could pick any dealer online. I bet the area you're in has alot more demand for this bike and therefore Orbea wants to 'spread it out.' I am in Virginia.. not as many people are going to buy a Wild.
TNGdeeznutz🎉😮
So you’re friends killed it also on the rise with less travel, did they try the wild and what did they think? Are you riding the 160 or 170 front. Most companies don’t use a 160 rear, did it help this bike be more plush or the same as other bikes with a 150 rear
They did and they said they wished they'd had the Wild. I have the 170 front and I'm glad I opted for it.
Where in Arizona this trail system at. I live in Vegas and wanna ride somewhere different and also different desert riding
It's on the south side of South Mountain
Just pulled the trigger on a Wild H10 after renting one at Emigos. Living near SOMO I look forward to finally climbing hills I never could before with my Ripmo.
The guys at Emigo are awesome! Congrats on the Wild! Going up Mormon and National all the way to the radio towers isn't all that tough anymore!
I had the Wild Fs now I have the 22 Rise M10 , it’s a tough question but tbh I think I actually prefer the Rise , it’s less travel but it’s so good
I've ridden a few different Rise's, a few friends have them, but I really do prefer the Wild.
how do you like it so far? I bought mine this week and I love it
I just put my deposit in for a customized M10 two days ago, ETA is mid-December.
@@AZMTBDid you go with the 625wh or 750wh battery? I'm looking at the H30, which through LBS' instead of direct, only comes with the 625wh. I'm a heavier rider, would prefer the 750wh, but the 625wh should do well for the majority of my rides, and I read that Bosch is releasing a 250wh range extender, just a question if it would be compatible with the 2023 Wild.
I ordered it with the 625. I rarely if ever come close to using a full 725 watt hour battery, and I want to decreased weight.
Don’t sound loud to me I heard the AWE track edition on UA-cam and the videos they put up with that system sounds louder then this resonated version I rather buy the AWE track over this
Facts bro. I’m so much happier with track version. Just can’t add headers to this
Buddy the track version is just a 900$ straight pipe..
It's plenty loud, but not straight pipe loud.
RMR is lookin' kinda raggedy r/now. i rode it yesterday. hawes needs some shovel love!
It's gotten so bad! I keep asking them when I can go help fix it up!
Great run on a fun trail!
Where were you able to Demo an Orbeas Wild in PHX?
Orbea was doing demos for a few days out of Emigos Bike Shop near south mountain.
I have a gen 1 Orbea Rise right now, but am seriously thinking of the 2023 Wild. It looks great. That Bosch motor definitely sounds noisier than my Ep-8 on my Rise. Have you ridden the Rise at all? How does it compare to the Wild 2023 in terms of handling and poppiness?
I've ridden the Rise, but only a little. Not really enough to explain that kind of difference, but the Rise did just "feel" like more of a trail bike. The Wild just feels like a much more burlier bike and was more comfortable over the rough stuff.
Wow. lot of technical riding. seams to never end
Eliminator and Bursera are two of favorites at South Mountain. West National from Lost Ranch to the bottom is my absolute favorite. Love seeing others ride them and post here. Nice video!
Thanks! I gotta try this, I'm always heading over to RMR but now its peppered with breaking bumps, no bueno on a hard tail.
Yea, RMR is in pretty rough shape right now, I agree. I plan on being out there to help work on it when they get it scheduled.
Replaced my Ripmo with a Rallon and haven't looked back! Orbea has entered North America on a mission!!
Yes, buddy!! So the Wild over the Oso, huh.
The Wild is just so damn good. Really does feel like a regular bike, not an ebike. Whatever they’ve done to hide the weight is really impressive.
Awesome, really wish I could do that with you. That stuff is so rugged! I just deal with dirt, grass, roots, and mud!
to nice
I have the same bike and did the same things to it. If you haven't already done it (and still have this bike 3 years later), I'd highly recommend going as big as possible with the Sram HS-2 rotors. I think I did 220 on the front and either 180 or 200 on the rear. Changed my brakes from one of the weakest parts on the bike to amazing. I love that they're just a bit thicker than the Centerline rotors on your bike in this video.
Nice video, can't wait to hit this one
Great video showing a great run but also the beauty of the desert not many are aware of. What a day that must have been. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Yes, it's particularly gorgeous this time of year!
Sheeesh! Bike looks fast! Love the look of the oil slick bolts on the magura Calipers! Great video
Thanks Manny!
This is Beautiful filming!👌👏🤘😎🤘
Soaked up RMR like sponge! Nice run!
Thanks! 👍
What are you riding? A jet fighter? Wow, great ride
haha, thanks man! I've ridden this trail a lot, one of my favorites. Really has a little bit of everything.
