Thanks for this review. I just picked one up during the HF 12 days of deals for $95. It's my first stand, and I was curious to see a long-term review.
I did too!!
Me too!! Im using it with the 10" skil dual bevel miter that was $229
Just purchased on 12 days of Christmas sale for $95. After assembly an adding my saw I think this will be great!
BEST review yet..... TODAY 12/17/2024 CHRISTmas deal is $94.99, I am hoping that my 40 year old Craftsman saw will fit on this, don't really need this since I don't do much wood cutting I may just buy it anyway due to the deal
If you wrap the threads in a little scotch tape they go right in without grabbing carpet fibers. The tape comes off easy as it goes in.
I thought that little piece you mentioned was for making sure your saw was centered to the same spot each time was a good spot to clip a tape measure. No idea it was too mark location. Lol
It’s $190 now.
3 years on, how much cracking has happened around the dust collector nozzle? Mine is only 2 months old, and has many cracks in it.
Cheap cheap plastics
@@CanTho2022 unfit for purpose, junk.
Just close the legs and the leg bracket mounting screws are easy. Has total access.
I have one of these. Currently have a 10” slider on it. Overall quite sturdy. Only real downfall is lifting it on the “wheel” end to set the legs. Should have been designed with a handle to lift from. Unfortunately it doesn’t have one. All you can do is lift but it’s sharp (not cutting sharp) but “very” uncontrollable on the hand with a saw on it. A serious design flaw! Hopefully Harbor Freight can engineer a hand grab as an accessory that can be attached at a later date. Try it in the store. You’ll see what I mean.
How do you keep the mounting brackets from sliding side to side on the main rail? The miter saw that I have is the dealt des 779 not that heavy
I did all that but now my light won’t come back on, unless I touch 2 wires together at which point it flashes indiscriminately. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I have not changed the alignment, shut off the power or anything. Just stripped the wires and reconnected. 🤷🏼♂️
Harbor freight features your first video, I watched that and then came over to this followup. Thanks for a detailed review. I think I'm sold. Tired of lugging my heavy Hitachi in and out of the shed every time I want to use it.
Fold one leg up when mounting the bracket. Then put it down and put the other one up.
Thank you William S.
How wide is the silver rail that the saw sits on? It looks to be about 5 or 6 inches. Thanks, great video.
.8 acres here, BX2380 with 175h. I’ve done a lot with mine, very versatile to lift, mulch and mow. Use lightweight implements, especially in front. I built an 8” x 15” long shovel to dig shrubs etc.
Oh man. In the thumbnail I thought this a city destroying drone. Damn click bait.
No slots .... easy fix. Drill small holes that line up with your rafters of plywood. Great video, BTW!
Best review I have seen...no rambling....almost...but not.
Just the type of review I needed. Thanks Bro!
Did it hold up
Great review William! I did notice, however, that you had not yet installed the stop screw on the material support shaft. It helps by keeping you from inadvertently pulling the shaft completely out when using it to support the unit on end for storage. That given, I really like my stand and have a DeWalt double bevel Sliding Compound saw mounted which is pretty heavy. It takes a little muscle to lift one end to set the legs, but it is a very stable stand and works well. It makes transport a breeze too versus carrying the saw around. The only real drawback is you need a couple of saw horses to have a table to store your moldings, etc. while you work since there is nowhere to lay things anywhere on the stand. That's really not a big deal but I know you are going to enjoy your stand as much as I do mine. Enjoy!
This video is LAME!!
Hey bro does it fit on any dewalt miter saw?
Thank you!
Tell us my man, what was the outcome after Ian?
6:17 He answers this question.
I have an acre and just bought one of these. Thanks for the review!! I haven’t taken delivery yet!!
Throttle tension easy to adjust with a wrench. My 2021 2380 hydraulics don’t leak @ 140h now.
Usually don't have to re-stretch pulled carpet. Rented carpet kicker will work. Re fasted to carpet tacks.
Using nails for the subfloor with NO adhesive causes squeaks. High traffic areas.
Im gettin the hercules saw and stand tomorrow
A friend of mine stad recently died and she wants me to sell her machine . It has the front end loader and the three points in the back same model is yours and only about 59 hours on it. What's the minimum that I should accept for it ?
Hi Cindy. Sorry for your friend's loss. Hard to say what the minimum value would be, as that will vary from location to location. By me, I would guess $13k-$16k.
This video really helped me!! Thanks for sharing!! 👏🏼
Will the old bx2200 mower deck work fit on the new bx2380?
American homes are simply shacks. Wood homes that cost ridiculously
Only use 1.5in screws so you don't hit ⚡💦💧
Good information
That quick coupler shouldn't be leaking like that. Not normal.
Excellent review, very helpful 👍🏻
Great review! You taught me a thing or two. One thing I would like to pass along to everyone is that other than the 2, 15724 mounting brackets, there are no other parts available. I had an unfortunate incident with mine. It was standing in my garage. There was no saw mounted on it at the time. I didn’t have the lower support by the wheels extended far enough to keep it balanced, and it went over. I thought everything was fine with it. I got the stand out this fall and I noticed the Support with the roller was bent. I managed to straighten it out. I went to reassemble it, and I realized that the upper black plastic guide with the lever on it was cracked. I called Harbor Freight thinking I could buy a replacement. They told me there were no parts available other than the aforementioned mentioned mounting brackets. I took the cracked bracket off, you will have to drill out the rivet in the extension tube, I took the plastic part and cleaned It with rubbing alcohol. I ran a bead of crazy glue along the crack, and clamped it in a vice with the hollow cavities on the backside facing up and left it overnight. I mixed up a batch of JB well, and after cleaning that cavity out with more rubbing alcohol, I filled it up to the top. I let it set for at least two days. I will add that I didn’t remove the guide from the vice after gluing it. I left it in the vice I just didn’t want to take any chances. After a few more days I took it out. I cleaned it up thoroughly, and I dusted it with a light coat of spray paint for plastic. I slid the bracket over the extension tube, popped a rivet back in and reassembled it. It turned out perfect. Sorry for the epistle, I want everyone to know. I do like my stand in spite of the lack of parts. Thank to all for your patience.
Thanks for this info, WITHOUT actually seeing the part you mention I assume a PRE fix is to remove that part & FILL WITH GLUE to insure such doesn't happen?
IM looking at a BX2200 and it will need a new seat if I get it. Do you know if the newer seat on your 2380 will fit on a 2200?
Probably not without some modifications
doing some research on these. Just found a 2200 for $3500 but it doesnt have the belly mower. Does have a pull behind finish mower. I think he said it has about 600 hours. For doing mowing and food plot work, what are you thioughts? Good price for it, worth the price? Are parts readily available? I like the small size of this because I have a lawn care biz. I dont need a larger tractor and dont have much use for one. But this could be used for mowing properties, and if I can find additional implements, I think it might be a good option because it will get into tight spaces.
That tractor is over 20 years old. So trying to find a mid mount mower for it might be close to impossible. Regular maintenance/repair parts are generally available, through your Kubota dealer of course, but you can get parts for them for sure. If you keep in mind these are very small tractors, and work with them accordingly they're great. Just remember you are buying an old tractor so there's probably a lot of maintenance you gotta do to it.
My husband can't get the speed (cruise) control to work. Any tips? He can't see where anything engages underneath.
Super nice!
Great information. Going to get one
I want to know what the silver bracket under the back, bottom of the saw is for. It looks like it’s to wrap a cord on but it is too close to the main base for even a lamp cord to wrap onto.
I didn’t see the metal flaps on the rollers as a stop. I saw it as an alternative stationary support.
Is this discontinued
Is there away to fix the bottom drawer issue? I'm looking to get one but the locker would be against wall. On the side is that going to be a issue that can't be fixed. Kinda limited on space So I can't move it away from the wall.
you could mount the door to open the other way but that might be a little awkward but possible.
should we be concerned about water or electrical wire running along the joists underneath? I don't think it's supposed to, but are these nails not deep enough for those lines if installed properly?
Water and elec lines, if any present, should be tacked to the side of the joist. You’re screwing into the top. But if you’re worried, I’d confirm you’re above a joist before you drive a screw in
I love this stand, I don't keep my saw attached when I break it down. I use a 24' x 32' 3/4" plywood as a base for the saw to sit on. I clamp the plywood to the supports at the backside of each support, then I screw the miter saw to the plywood with two deck screws in the front. This way the plywood acts as a table. I don't have the wheels attached, It's unnecessary because without the saw attached it's light enough to carry with the handle mounted on the underside. This way it's easy enough to put in the truck. To setup and breakdown takes me about one minute. The supports are way better than the lame stamped steel my delwalt stand has.
