Funny enough I was talking to my mate this morning about this.... I think it would be better with a pole limit, as not many people can hold a real long pole. As it's allowed, then I'll do it. Also "flicking" the pole tip on the water, is the same as "tapping" the pole tip on the water. Aka "monging". A lot of anglers don't like the ambiguity of this rule at Ivy House Lakes, including myself. Your either your "monging" or not.

@chris63506 I don't mind the overshotted rig but I prefer venues where jiggers and over shotted rigs are not allowed . As over shotted and Jiggas is all about fish hooking themselves and not the Angler hooking the fish.

Unfortunately I haven't fished it for ages. So I'm not sure how's it fishing. When I last fished it, it was good for decent Carp, a lot around 15 to 18lb. Some beautiful Ghost Carp.

​@@dennyb965it was the clean brake, as I cut it with a sharp saw. So unfortunately a manufacturer fault. The X5 been a great pole for me, used it a lot. And the customer service was great.... not waiting six months for a section.

Good video what Nick Speed done, but the Guru lads did the same. Look what Will Raison does with his kit, I think they are stronger than what people think. But too expensive compared to the competition in my opinion.
