Accord 9th Gen (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017) Replacing Window Moulding weatherstrip Trim - Part II
Replacing my 2013 Accord's deteriorated window weatherstrip using only the plastic trim removal tool. Part II - The backdoor
Since I am replacing the entire assembly and don't have the pick/hook tool, I decided to break the main clip that holds the set in place. This allows me to replace the set easily by sliding out the assembly after the main clip is released.
FYI, the main clip could be removed easily if you have a pick/hook tool.
Just be careful with the new sets' main clip if you are using aftermarket one.
OEM Part numbers: Cost around $300 for a set of 4 if buying from Honda

I got new ones and they will not lock in on the end (left side) any suggestions? It’s like there’s nothing there for it to click in to
Is the new ones okay?
@@notreallyabook1969 I rewatched your video and moved my clips towards the left and it snapped right in! Thanks!

Thank you for this video! I was able to change both of mine without any issue except that black clip breaking on the old ones
Same! But now the black clip is stuck! Any advice?
You need a wide tool for getting loose the main clip.
Thank you for this
where did you purchase the item from
Google them. There are a few places to choose from.

Thanks for this video. I was able to change all 4 on my 2016 accord. I ended up just prying until the black clip broke to remove the original pieces. At first i was trying not to break them but i realized im just going to throw them away anyways. Once I got over the fear of breaking them i was able to replace them real quick.
Great videos TY
Very helpful. Thanks
Pretty fair instruction. There ia another video that shows the mirror being removed. On my 2014, the molding would not slide. I had to take the mirror off and pop the molding up at the mirror. There is a nut at the bottom that is hard to remove and impossible to put back on unless you loosen the door panel. The top nut doesn't hold the mirror on so no need to remove it. Hint: The mirror bolts on tightly without that lower bolt! 😁2014 Odyssey ELX
I think I have a clip that is broken on mine near the B-pillar. The replacement one does not move at all, correct?
The pink or orange colored ones can be moved. If you are referring to the main retainer clip which is the black one, purchasing a new one is needed or ask for a replacement if it is still under the warranty.
@@notreallyabook1969 Already ordered a replacement, thank you for the information!
