My nurse didn't put the little sticky things on afterwards I really wish she did. She applied a bandage then wrapped it. My wrap came off the first day then my bandage came off the next day 🤦🏽‍♀️

I can thankfully say I had a great experience with nexplanon for the three years that I had it, I was never feeling depressed nor with anxiety out of the normal. I did notice that nexplanon actually helped me with my acne . But thankfully overall good experience the only con about this in my experience was the weight gain. Your weight goes high in the sky I had never waited in my life in the 200's it was pretty bad I just got it removed this morning and I feel so happy but I also am glad that I did get nexplanon because like I said before I had a great experience and everybody is different and I'm glad to have my fertility back to normal in a few days

Hi, I agree that Nexpoanon had a very bad effect on me. I became very irritable, I screamed at my children and husband, I had no desire for sex and constant bleeding. This was a bad decision for me. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone/

Did anyone else have a little nub left on the inside? Its been about two and a half weeks and I pulled the scab off to find a little nub, and a hole in my arm where it was. I feel like the implant broke and that was left in there

All together I been on nexplanon for almost 8yrs. The first round was after I had my Son in 2015 and I took it out in 2018.. because a surrogate and put it back in 2019. Now 2023 my 4yrs is up and it’s time to take it out or put it back. Over the years it was hard to lose weight, I gain maybe 20pd over the 4yrs ( not bad) . The periods was Horrible my second round with Nexplanon ( first 3-6months spotting ) after that my periods would come ever 3-4months ( basically 3-4 times year, with ransoms spotting in between /sometimes) . My nexplanon is out as of 08/23/2023 and arm is sore but not painful ( don’t need no pain meds). Two days after removal a FULL BLOWN PERIOD I mean heavy, my moody is SWINGING all over. I actually regret taken it out.. I wasn’t ready for this part. I don’t experience periods ( been on Birth control since I was 16yrs old … only time I wasn’t on is when I got pregnant with my son. I heard some studies show that nexplanon can cause thyroid disorder in women and that I have developed since being on my second round with nexplanon… the Hormone imbalance ( Google it for yourself) So I have a love and hate relationship with the nexplanon.. but I will try the next 4months and see how I like being off nexplanon or will I Return. Sorry for the long message 🥴😂 or any typos you may find.

I really agree with you review!! I personally couldn't get passed chapter 10 either, and I DNF. I feel that the book couldn't have been condensed to half if not 1/3rd of the length. There's too much fluff and time in her head. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I’ve gained so much weight on this implant. I’m literally sitting at my doctors office wanting it removed. They have to set me up for an appointment of course but I’ve gained 30 lbs in the span of 3 months, my emotions are all over the place all the time, and I’m working out almost everyday with clean eating and not dropping a lick of weight but gaining. I want it out!

Can anyone tell me how they felt after removal? How was the bleeding? I had the nexplanon in for only 2 weeks and just got it removed 2 days ago 💀because the bleeding was too excessive. I feel so much better, but still having some bleeding. Just want to know when it’ll subside and go away….thanks in advance.

i just got mine removed about a week ago, i had it for a year - went up 2 cup sizes and gained SOOOOO much weight and when i first got it i was in a horrible mental state to the point i had to go on antidepressants. im hoping it gets better soon. its so reassuring to hear other women experiencing everything i was experiencing ;-;

Hi it’s so good to see other women knowing exactly what I went through. I got the nexplanon implanted in may 2021 and at first skipped a month and then had some spotting. Then all of a sudden I would get my period and bleed consistently for two weeks straight every month. One of the reasons I got the nexplanon is because I was told the main side effect was no periods. The mood swings I would get were the worse. I was super depressed with it. I felt so bad for my fiancé because I didn’t even want him to touch me. The moment I got it removed I felt instantly better.
