a lot of time there is an issue with managers that dont know jack shit about programming, and basically parrot whatever the lastest trend has been and only care about spreadsheet stats. there is a good blog by ludic, named "your organization probably doesn't want to improve things". i found it a nice read, its about the manager-employee dynamic, and it justifies sometimes ignoring managers under specific circumstances, so thats why i disagree with the ignoring the boss part. i mean, if the boss tells you to do something and then lets you do it, thats absolutely ok, but if the boss keeps disturbing your workflow by having meetings every hour to track the progress or something every hour or so, it justified to ignore the boss for some time and even skip on some of these meetings

I don't know how the algorithm sent your channel to me, but here we are. I am a boomer and was a part of the beginning of social media. There were AOL chats first. Then, my space and Facebook were created for college students to connect. I never quite dabbled on Facebook. I do have family members who constantly tag me, and I may or may not abide. It's all about choices. When I saw the "Don't tread on me" revolutionary snake, then your camouflage hat, along with the American flag directly behind you, I sensed something political. Maybe it's just below your surface. Anyway, what I gleaned from you is that you had a negative experience that pulled you in and affected either job, family, or friends, and you removed yourself for lack of direct physical contact. I could be mistaken. Anyway, moving on.❤

Hey, the shirt matches the shelves. Odd timing. I was listening to a news postcast talking about nostalgia like Ducktails, Ghostbusters, the transformer movies, and other types of reboots. Companies trying to get older people to buy in and entice a new generation as well. But for the entire podcast all I could think about was how much worse the reboots were and how they've wrecked entire series by doing this and just not being able to recapture the old magic. Interesting times happy new year. Oh and nostalgia only is sad for me in that things aren't better in those areas. They are worse and maybe you're right those days are gone. I should just let'em go.

I've known a few people who love to swing the hammer of truth, but do so out of arrogance or even revenge. All they've accomplished is to isolate themselves and break relationships, even though their words were generally correct. They end up looking like jerks, even to people on their own side. Sometimes you're not given a lot of options, but every situation is different, every person is different, and I think true wisdom is in assessing the situation and figuring out a response that will cause people to listen and think. Sometimes the hammer will do that - but more often (at least in my experience), it just heightens emotions and makes things worse.

Just wanted add a quick comment on perception or how things are perceived. there's also the ability to not perceive things correctly as they truly are. For example if something is stuck into water it becomes disjointed to your site and sometimes it may even bend or change the way it looks and that is not what really is happening. Again I would point people to Renee Decart and discourse of the method because he again goes over something like this and over the years I think the water example has been used by many people to describe how our perception of reality may not be what's "true"

Well you already know that I want the just one perspective I agree with "Great Scott".

I understand your point that "Vigilant Citizen" may not reflect your content as well, but it's the only one among your proposals that would catch my attention in a flood of UA-cam recommendations. It tells me immediately that the channel is going to be one of substance rather than some random time-wasting internet fluff.

Libraries all have their own apps that you can download, then you put in your library card information, and check out audio books, or ebooks. Usually you get about three weeks. I highly recommend checking it out.
