Not only is Scarlet's Walk my favorite Tori's album, it easily makes it into my top 5 albums ever. It is a true masterpiece. Carbon remains one of the most stunning pieces of music I've ever heard.

Dude I love so many of your choices! Many of them are also in my top 5 but they don't get a lot of love from the fans i think. Caught a Lite Sneeze and Sleeps with Butterflies are my favorites too, and Baker Baker, A Sorta Fairytale, Invisible Boy and Swim to Ney York State have all been my favorites at some point, and are still on my top 3. I'm also so glad to see some love for That Guy (and Fire to Your Plain). My list is probably quite controversial my.. american doll posse, abnormally attracted to sin, midwinter graces, and strange little girls are albums i dont care for at all. But both boys for pele and scarlets walk are near the bottom in my list. I know that they are peoples favourites, i know there are some good songs on there... But neither do it for me as an album im afraid. My favourites are Little earthquakes.. its a masterpiece. The beekeeper (i know people will say 'you love this but not scarlets walk - i cant explain why, it just does it for me) and to venus and back. Its always interesting to see other peoples lists.

My list: 1. From the Choirgirl Hotel - masterpiece 2. Little Earthquakes - iconic 3. Boys for Pele - an experiment gone right, so much to discover on re-listens 4. Native Invader - I kind of drifted away from Tori after The Beekeeper for several years, but this album was the healing balm I needed in 2017 and reminded me of why she resonated so deeply with me in the first place ("gotta get you back to you") 5. Scarlet's Walk - such a cool concept and beautiful music, but a few songs I skip pretty consistently 6. Under the Pink - the "highs" are incredible (Cornflake Girl, Pretty Good Year, God, Waitress) but it's less consistent than the five albums I ranked higher. 7. Night of Hunters - I'm just discovering and getting more into this album. Really beautiful compositions. 8. To Venus and Back - I love Bliss, Juarez, Concertina, Josephine, 1000 Oceans... but found the rest of the new material kind of underwhelming or drowned out by the production 9. Ocean to Ocean - A solid album, there are just better Tori Amos albums out there 10. Unrepentant Geraldines - I had trouble picking #10, honestly, because there's a big gap after my top 9 and I'm pretty neutral on the remaining albums (AAtS, Beekeeper, ADP, SLG). But the songs I love from UG (Oysters, Invisible Boy) resonate more deeply than my favorites from the other albums, so I'll slide UG into my top 10.

-Winter (can i just pick all the first five tracks on LE?) -Cornflake Girl -Little Amsterdam -i i e e e (so many incredible songs on this album, but this is my all-time favorite) -Josephine -97 Bonnie and Clyde -Scarlet's Walk (Gold Dust and Carbon are both up there, though) -Sleeps with Butterflies -Big Wheel -Give -Job's Coffin -Oysters -Bang (shout outs to Reindeer King, Wildwood, and Up the Creek) -Flowers Burn to Gold

I appreciate any good Tori coverage on YT! But UtP at #6? Wow ..... I agree that Baker Baker is great. But i think the whole album is just SO solid.

Although her latest albums don't hit me the same way, they are still great. Of my top 6, not a single song is a skip and that's truely an amazing feat imho. I love how we all rank them differently because they each speak to us differently! 🖤

In my opinion, her music is more powerful when you pay more attention to the lyrics. In dear john and last kiss especially, her ability to make you feel the way she felt during that time shows her song writing talent. I agree that sonically this album doesn’t have her most impressive songs. However, this album is more loved amongst fans for story telling and confessional song writing. I think that you should try listening to 1989 to hear her most sonically cohesive album. For more in depth lyrics, I recommend Red or evermore.

Fun fact: Mean won a Grammy. She dated John Mayer around this time and wrote the songs Dear John, The Story Of Us (they ran into each other at an awards show and he gave her the cold shoulder) & Ours is about John Mayer. You should check out the OG version of Better Than Revenge. She wrote the song after her ex Joe Jonas left her for an actress named Camilla Belle. Jonas wrote a song called Much Better saying his new girl Camilla is much better than Taylor. Long Live is a song for her band and fans. Never Grow up was inspired by her godson who was born around this time. Haunted, Enchanted, Sparks Fly, Better Than Revenge, Story Of Us are my favorites off Speak Now Taylor’s Version

I hope you will do more TSwift reactions. The most important thing to know is that Taylor’s music ranges over several styles and genres (pop, country, folk, alt, indie, rock, and all possible hyphenated combinations of these). Other things to keep in mind: I can almost guarantee that, after a few listens, some of her songs - especially her slower (“boring”) ones will grow on you. I was initially bored by a bunch of her songs that, now, are among my favorites. After you listen to a few more of her albums (and see some of her live-performance and music videos), you should re-visit the songs that you say you’ll “never listen to again” because a few of those will hit you in a completely different way. And, speaking of live performances and music videos, I cannot stress strongly enough how important it is to see some of those if you want to understand the “TSwift phenomenon.” Since you were bored by some of the Speak Now songs, I would suggest investigating her Reputation album next. It will provide a stark contrast to what you’ve just heard. When possible, I suggest reacting to both live-performance and music video versions, when possible.
