@@MOTOSCOUTtv ah, I see that in the description now, sorry! How much do the fairings and windscreen each do? I’ve got an XC of my own, and I’ve been considering getting something to keep the wind off for longer rides! I just don’t drop hundreds of dollars to have something not work well

@@justinaustin1155 It helps quite a bit. Not sure how much the fairings work for wind protection on the legs, but the windscreen helps quite a bit. Only downside is that its just tall enough to send all the wind in to your helmet which results in pretty gnarly wind buffeting (as most full size windscreens do) at highway speeds. Is this kit worth the 1000 USD you pay for it? Not in my opinion. But, also in my humble opinion, it is the best looking kit on the market.

I would not recommend this bike for a new rider. It's heavy, expensive, and has a lot of power. I would start with the 900.

That was just me going downhill in too low of a gear and not giving it enough throttle. I'm like barely giving it any gas there. This motor really wants to go, so when you don't let it, its gets upset.

This is not the OEM windscreen, it is by Unit Garage. As far as wind protection, it works great. It does send a quite a bit of wind straight to my head cause a bit of buffeting which can get annoying on long hauls, but its better than the beating my whole upper body gets on any normal naked bike. I also have a Speed Twin, and I bought the scrambler so that I would have a much more comfortable bike for longer highway rides. And off-road adventures of course.

Google maps says state route 39. San Gabriel canyon road. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You’re lucky! I can’t wait to go back. (I grew up in Orange County but never got to ride a motorcycle in CA). I will be back to conquer the roads I missed!

It such an awesome road. I need to work on my bravery so I can carry a little more speed in the corners. But it’s such a perfectly smooth, beautiful ride.

Are you referring to your own setup? I’ve heard that the key error is pretty common, I’ve not experienced it but that would absolutely drive me bananas. The windscreen, I have the same issue. So much so that it broke on this very ride actually. Super disappointing.

@@MOTOSCOUTtv Ya, removed the shield, hook up a shorter shield, doesn't help to stop the wind but it helps prevent any debris damaging the cluster meter back cover.. As for the key couple of times simply couldn't detect, got to leave up the seat and place the "spare key" near to the sensor, How ridiculous. Other then the heat, Everything is just simply FUN & Comfort to ride, Can tour on it, city lane filter, off road capable, can do B roads. No bike is perfect, this bike is more like a jack of all trades. Seriously is a LOVE & Hate bike. 😂😂😂

About 18,000 after taxes and fees.
