Can you play any Xbox 360 on that system with out it updating?
@DidyDon-t2u oh no, only games from when the update. 9199 games you cant so if you look what date the dashboard was made. So for example, 9199 dashboard was made in april 6 2010. You can only play games before april, otherwise it will tell you to update

The halo 3 usb door is so elusive, it doesnt bother me that mines missing it but it would be nice if they were able to be purchased
It was never really "serviced" by gamestop, more like it got "gamestopped" in my own words cause this didn't service anything.
No, I think you misunderstood there. I was saying Microsoft repaired this with a better gpu before the serviced sticker came out and that started in 2009

Yeah what a shame, it was the standard Game Stop stuff they do. That's a Fixed Falcon with the good GPU-Rhea, but hopefully with the bolts not that tight it can revive itself if you switch back to the XClamps
Yeah I'm technically looking for another Xbox with red ring for parts and use the x clamps. The board itself doesn't look warped
And the xbox still works when I got it. I just took the laser off for the Ben q 360 to be fix

Wow this is a interesting one! HTG85 and HTG130 die markings is when they were testing Fixed GPUs at first in Falcons, but yeah that's a fixed one. Also that mess is hard to clean because it's not really thermal paste, it's a super high bond thermal phase change pad, sometimes the bond is so high you can see the die writings on the heatsink
Yeah man. Is really weird and strange to see that gpu on this xbox when it was made in June 5. I might want to keep this xbox just because of that and the disc drive. I never replace belts before so i don't know if this one is factory or what but it has never been opened until I got into it

@CliffNark you know, I've been trying to figure out when they started making those gray plastic trim because I want to know what year is the harddrive. Thermal paste, heatsink. I haven't taken it apart because I don't want to lose it's value and I know the laser is bad because when tilt vertical, it will read certain games to none and horizontal just reads all fine. I don't know yet. I haven't decided yet since is not important at the moment. I try not to use it all the time but I did play it for about an hour and it was great!

@CliffNark I didn't realize you mention about heatsink and fan. I have a nidec fan for it that I want to install but I don't know if I ever want to take it apart

I have a falcon from 2008-08-07 and it also has Lite-On. At first I also suspected a DVD drive swap, but I checked the KV and it really did come with it. A bit weird but whatever

Dayum, you got an Elpis board which is a modified and repaired Xenon with the Elpis GPU (introduced 2009) and they are kinda rare tho not as rare as an Opus
0:52 Tho they're the loudest (and sometimes quietest), they definitely the most iconic sounding and the best designed, there's a reason Microsoft stuck with their fans 1:00 Jasper/Tonasket bootloader gotta go fast 1:50 definitely Lite-on, BenQ has more of a delay between buzzes 3:23 absolute GOATed game, driving feels better than FM3 and FM4. Managed to slip my way into the 189th spot outta 673 thousand players on the Focus time trial (im just that cool)

It was given to me by my brother other friend and then got sold to my brother friend and he sold it to his friend and kept it ever since. I removed the faceplate when I got it because usb cover is broken

the pennies are a stupid thing that people thought it would fix RROD by putting pressure on the chips. It has HTg 85 Rhea is it shouldn't have RROD problems
I know, I don't know who did this work but it's unbelievable. It wasn't the seller so I know that's true.
That's why I had to ask because It didn't make sense why they did that, it was so dumb that they had to do that. Luckily I was able to fix it while I can before it gets worse. Thank you for the help again. I don't know what site to go to for gpu stuff
