My MadRock Arm is REALLY REALLY Hard to pull down when trying to rappel down the tree........ Is that normal??? I am 225lbs. not sure if that factors in...

Are you ever concerned about relying on the safeguard solely at the end of your tether ? I’ve considered running a short rope tether to climb with a kong duck and prusik knot backup at the top for the sit. Then transitioning to the 40’ rope tether and safeguard for descend only?

Just a suggestion - and i think the manufacturer recommends, back up the madrock. $20, and it can be rigged such that the friction hitch will self tend. One is none, etc.

I came up with an easier, quieter, and safer way. If you're interested, I made a video simple titled (ONE STICKING). You are really good at it, but if that stick suddenly slips a bit resettles at the wrong moment. Well, this would just make it even better! Hope you like it.
