In Sahih Muslim (2736) it says: “A man’s (Du`a) may be answered so long as it does not involve sin, severing the ties of kinship, or hastening.” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah, what does hastening mean?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When he says, ‘I made Du`a and I made Du`a but I did not see any response,’ so he gets discouraged and stops making Du`a.” the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: There is no Muslim who offers a supplication in which there is no sin or severing of ties of kinship, but Allah will give him one of three things in return for it: either He will hasten for him what he asked for, or He will store it [the reward for it] up for him in the Hereafter, or He will avert from him an equivalent evil.” They said: Then we should do a lot of that [offering supplication]. He said “Then Allah will reward you more.” In regards to making du'aa' to marry a specific person: Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Sharh Riyadh as-Saaliheen (6/16): That is, if a person offers supplication, he should choose the most comprehensive and concise of supplications and refrain from details, because offering supplication in general terms is more comprehensive than limiting it to specific requests. End quote. Moreover, being specific and persisting in offering du‘aa’ for that makes one more attached to the matter, and he does not know whether he will attain it or not. Perhaps if he does not attain it, after all that, he may become more upset and feel the loss more keenly. So it is more appropriate to delegate his affairs to his Lord, and be content with what He chooses for him. But if a person must be specific, then he should ask for that specific thing provided it is good for him. So he could say, for example: If there is something good for me in So and so, then make it easy for me to marry her, and so on. Ibn al-Jawzi (may Allah have mercy on him) said in Sayd al-Khaatir (p. 352): Beware of asking for something without connecting the asking to what is good, for perhaps attaining what one is seeking of worldly matters may be a cause that leads to one’s doom. End quote. One should also try to pray istikharah when deciding to marry which is a type of salah. With this salah you say (O Allah, I seek Your guidance [in making a choice] by virtue of Your knowledge, and I seek ability by virtue of Your power, and I ask You of Your great bounty. You have power, I have none. And You know, I know not. You are the Knower of hidden things. O Allah, if in Your knowledge, this matter (then it should be mentioned by name) is good for me both in this world and in the Hereafter (or: in my religion, my livelihood and my affairs ), then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. And if in Your knowledge it is bad for me and for my religion, my livelihood and my affairs (or: for me both in this world and the next), then turn me away from it, [and turn it away from me], and ordain for me the good wherever it may be and make me pleased with it. hi dear... i know u from tiktok... i prayed for my man for 1 year istikharah and sometimes tahujjud and i never got a proper sign n that too from dreams... n hence i did stopped praying for him and then sometimes i think of him and miss him and i start including him here and there in my duas and do istikharah....

The times i asked Allah to let him go from my heart i didnt truely mean it. I didnt truely trust Allah could give me better. Its only when i had complete tawakkul that Allah removed him completly. This man who once occupied every breathing space in my heart, now i felt absolutely Nothing for him

Plx if anyone help me i loved someone i prayed for them but something's happen he told me lie nd he cheated on me i also cheated on him i know its wrong but after i get into Allah i prayed and become little bit religious at that time i think he is not good for me i need to forget that person but after month the person came back into my heart nd head nd i also prayed thajjud that i forget that person but i cant may be he is happy in his lyf i m so surprised why i remember that person sometimes i feel i do wrong things with that person whenever i go into sujood I remember that person whenever my eyes open on fajr and the azan is starting every time i pray for that person i m so confused nd i m so much that person if he is not good for me why the person came back into my heart nd head I prayed thajjud for other reason always i got what i prayed but if i prayed tahajjud for that person i forget but why i can't plx help me wht i should do now😢

If he didn't want to give it to me then i asked him to remove the desire from my heart but i still want it so much. and the pain of seeing others getting it, especially those who are younger and haven't prayed for it nearly as much, is an agonizing pain i cant even put into words. the grief is too much and it feels like Allah is trying to torture me. I honestly feel so abandoned by Allah.

If a Dua failed it likely did so beacuse you were not following the Sunnah of Allah.

Sister: a Dua CANNOT change the "Sunnah of Allah"....Quran says: "walakin Sunat-ullah Tabdeela." So before you make Dua guys, you need to know what Sunnat of Allah is. Allah has made the Universe with some laws that govern it. These laws are Sunnat of Allah. Without learning, mastering and utilizing these laws nothing you say or do will work. In order to achieve this you need to learn and follow Science and Technology using the scientific method that our predecessor Muslims invented. Dont get infected with the Sufi-Tasawuff ignorant ideas and if you have been innoculated with them please seek help to rid your mind of them (CBT therapy perhaps).
