Hi I'm Katie! I've been travel obsessed since childhood. Join me on my adventures around California and beyond!
Here's the deal, my long term goal is to travel. Not just travel, but to show people what they need to know so that they can travel too. I love to research and plan, and I can help you prepare for what to expect when traveling. I know it's sometimes scary to get out of your comfort zone (trust me, I know) but it is so rewarding once you take the leap.
Right now, I am unable to do this full time. For now, I am going to start with Southern California and expand as soon as I am able to.
In the meantime, I plan to focus on travel but also occasionally make videos about food, cooking, and DIY (my other favorite activities). Gotta hone those video making skills, ya know?
Subscribe and join me on my next adventure!

Greetings from Slovenia 🙃
❤
Your video quality is good, if you optimize your UA-cam channel you will get more views and subscribers, this will turn your channel money on.
I’m sorry this isn’t related to this video but I was planning on going to lake arrowhead and big bear in two weeks but I just saw the video from October 2021 where talked about lake arrowhead and in your description you said that it would still be a few weeks before the foliage was active. Should I wait to go early November if I want to see a lot of the leaves change or would that be too late? When I went 10/18/22 it wasn’t totally changed and I thought I missed it so I was planning on going the 12th of this year after your video I’m wondering if I should go the first or 2nd week of November
Please and thank you if you respond
@@ramonmarron8207Hello! I haven’t made it up that way yet this year, but this website might be helpful: californiafallcolor.com There is a map that shows reports of fall colors changing and it looks like the Lake Arrowhead/Big Bear area hasn’t changed much yet as of right now. Based on that I’d say late October/early November probably isn’t too late but I’d keep checking the reports to make sure!
Welcome to Slovenia. I hope you had a good time.🫶
Thank you! I had a great time!
You seriously didn't show mangrove road? Dude, thats iconic boca grande. I grew up going here every weekend cuz we lived in port charlotte. As for how you pronounce punta gorda..wow. 😅 never heard that before and i went to high school in punta gorda
How far is from Griffith Observatory?
I have and it came out pretty good, I think the issue you had was the water in the bottom of the pan baking. You steamed the dough lol don’t be discouraged try it again just without the water
What a charming young lady! I love to explore neighborhoods. Haven't been doing that enough lately, but this inspires me to resume that activity.
When I went there was no ticket and no pamphlet! That would've been nice to have
Nice job. Liked the trails
Beautiful girl
I'm probably dense, but beyond being a scenic trek and/or a rather harsh way to get into shape, what is the purpose of the stairs, considering that things we call "cars" exist? Were the stairs for possibly the housekeepers and gardeners, and other poor help back say a century or so ago, who didn't possess a car, to get up and down to the houses they worked at? If so, that must've been a tough life.
There are some amazing house there! Staircases add to that neighborhood!
Thanks for this video! ❤ I hole by 2028 with the restoration plan that is currently been working, will help bring 1000s of people back to the Salton Sea
Wow😮
Hey Katie, just found your channel and subscribed. I wish you well on your journeys. Nice to see a new face from the area. Perhaps one day we can collaborate on something. Stay joyful and safe!
Hey can I get the address for this spot I went there but it seems it lead me to a court house in Pasadena and I typed in mt Wilson
Hi! Sorry I didn't see your comment right away. I just put Mount Wilson Observatory into Google Maps and it doesn't give an exact address but the pin is in the right spot. You could also try putting 'Cosmic Cafe Mt Wilson' or 'Mt Wilson Skyline Park Picnic Site' into the search and it should lead you there.
My mom had an aunt who lived on Pelham Pl. Her sister (my grandmother) would park her 1948 Buick down on Beachwood and walk up the "150 stairs" to visit. The Buick had no power steering or brakes so it was too difficult to drive up the narrow canyon roads. We as kids would also visit and walk down the steps to the Beachwood Market. It's surprising, 60 years later how little the area has changed. Thanks for a very nostalgic trip.
Quite lovely!!! Thanks for this fascinating trip (by stairs) to the Hills of Hollywood.
I miss Anthony Bourdain
Me too!
This is such a cool find! Exploring the hidden staircases in Beachwood Canyon sounds like the perfect mix of history, exercise, and stunning views. Thanks for sharing these gems with us! If you're looking for a unique relaxation spot after the hike, I'd recommend checking out Quantum Clinic for some amazing float & sound therapy. Keep up the great content! 🌟
Hello, I was going to your UA-cam channel and found out that you have very good content, but I think that your UA-cam videos need to be SEO optimized. 1. Very poor SEO score (0 out of 100) 2. No SEO-friendly title, description, or tags 3. A social media platform with no sharing. 4. a video performance rating of 0 out of 50. So, I decided to help you by doing your video SEO and keyword research and finding ranking tags for your video, optimizing your SEO description, and tags so that you can generate more subscribers and views. Please take a look, and I am feeling good helping a content creator like you who is very good in this sector.
Hello. I've watched the videos on your channel. Your video is excellent, but it won't go viral. Have a look at your channel. But why? Think about it. Your channel won't go viral, and you won't gain many subscribers or views. The reason is: 1. Your video needs to be SEO properly. SEO Score: 0 out of 100.2. Your video isn't reaching the right people.3. Not using video hashtags properly. 4. Not sharing the video on social media sites.5. There needs to be more ranking tags.6. Video performance: 0 out of 50] 7. Not a single tag, description, or title is optimized for search engine optimization. I have a lot planned for your channel. There are a few more reasons why your videos are limited to your channel. In a word, your video is awesome; such videos are in great demand. If you do this thing correctly,
Hello beautiful, how are you? I analyse your UA-cam channel, your content is great. But i found some problems why your views & subscribers doesn’t increase? Did you do your video seo, file seo & Organic promotion? Your video Didn't outreach to the targeted audience, that's why your video views aren’t increase. SEO helps you to boost your video by organically to the targeted audience.I can do a free problem report on your channel if you want.
Not a good place to hang out with all the toxic chemicals. I don’t know why they keep it open knowing that.
No don't stop at Santa Fe & Mateo. Keep going west, because up ahead is the ROW. Also, if you go south east a little bit you will find the coolest coffeeshop, Etiquette with a neat little alley and parking spot. No more "paid parking" if you go beyond 7th street and all the newest hidden spots are down there towards the 10 frwy.
Thanks!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video!
Natural workout back in the40, we apreciated Nature, now we blocktop everything, and pay membership
Katie, I am so glad that you walked those steps! I got back and knee pain, Watching you! I'll stick to Ruynon Canyon walks. Thanks for the awesome tour! 🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️😂
Beachwood Market is cool…. Get a reusable canvas shopping bag when you stop by!☺️😁
Can't imagine trying to walk home from a Hollywood party drunk at 2:00 in the morning to get to your house
Nobody walks in LA
Great tour . Thanks so much for sharing ❤
What an awesome find! Thanks!
I just found your channel thru this vid! I’m older now, there’s no way I could do those stairs but how wonderful to see them this way! Good job! Subscribed!
Is the bus service there?
WHATS SO SECRET ABOUT THEM STAIRS ALL THEY DO IS LEAD FROM ONE STREET TO ANOTHER
Really shocked how lush and green it is. Always thought of LA and Hollywood as a desert. Also I'm pretty sure I saw some of those on The Hills. Thanks Spencer Pratt.
There’s a book with all the “secret” stairs in the LA area including all of these. I found the author on Facebook and he would post where he would be and lead the hike through these great neighborhoods and these wonderful secret stairs. As we did the hike, he’d give us a history of the area we were around. The book is called “Secret Stairs” but I can’t remember the author’s name.
Too cool! Thank you!
hi. the link for instructions for the loop is not good. do you where else I can these instructions to walk the loop?
👍👍
Just found your channel - great vlog! Never knew about these stairs and grew up in LA so really enjoyed the tour. Thanks!!
We call it Micro Tokyo
OMG. So many landslides waiting to happen. Would live there if you paid me! 😮
The home insurance is probably more expensive than the houses themselves - earthquakes.
I have seen a video that says it worked, and it did, but she "crusted" it under the broiler and another crusted it under the air fryer. I think the foil loose may have been the downfall? My oven broke but my bread is ready to bake so I might try it, but I might just take it out and put it in the BBQ instead. I could go to a neighbor to borrow their oven but then their house will smell amazing and I will lose my loaf of bread
If you think the walk was a challenge, imagine how much effort it ws to clear the paths, install the steps and rails, all by hand. No machinery or concrete pumps in those days. Moving all that material must have been awfully hard. That joint tooling used was very time consuming, each step and riser must have taken hours.
