Reacting to the Tesla of Tiny Homes: The future of housing? | Arch Professional Reacts
On stream, we reacted to this futuristic tiny house built by Cover, utilizing pre-fab engineered panels for a sleek modern design. With a pretty hefty price tag for small square footage, is this really the future of housing? Or is this a gimmick for rich people?
Check out my Twitch to keep up with our tiny house design series and if you have any home tours you would like me to react to on stream, please send them my way! 😊
!! Please note that this is a highlight video and has been distilled down to prioritize my own commentary over showcasing the content I am reacting to. For full context, I very much urge you to watch the full length video at the link below and support the original creator!!

Love this!!
Ahh thank youu 💕🥹
Hi! I really like your channel. Would you ever consider doing a "Live like a sim" challenge? It's where you let your sim do whatever they want for 24 in-game hours, and you make notes of what your sim does and when, and then recreate that day in real life. Would be so fun to watch!
Ahh thank you so much!! I do focus more on the build aspect of gaming on my channel but it could be a cool live stream idea one day :)
"There is no space for a dining table" - that's when you turn the pass-through into a functional bar. Extend the bottom ledge out, toss some bar stools underneath, and bam, dining space.
This would probably be the easiest! We do want to fit a proper table though so I think to do so the wall has to come down 😅
@angorabuilds fair enough. I'm just not fond of removing elements that provide a sense of character. Plus, having a cat myself, I appreciate the idea of being able to keep her out of the kitchen, so I'd be adding some sort of movable barrier there also. That said, I do also very much enjoy more open spaces, so it's a delicate balancing act 😅
ive found that a tile is roughly 32in. it works really well for converting floor plans.
Oooh this is helpful!! I'll test this theory with the next one, thank you! 😊
I found you on youtube recently and like your videos. I noticed you like to watch tiny house videos, i've been watching Mr. Langston for a while now... i think he's like the god father of tiny homes, well any ways... he had a video several years ago featuring what i consider one of the most clever tiny house designs i've ever seen. Is 10' feet wide... you got to check this thing out, would love to hear what you have to say about it. Hope to see a video of your thoughts on this one... here's the link.... ua-cam.com/video/NJDPjwq8-2M/v-deo.html , thanks for the great videos, keep it up!
Oh gosh thank you for the kind words! I love tour reactions and do them live when I stream on Twitch (and soon UA-cam)! Next time we need a tour to watch, I'll make sure this is near the top of the list! 🙏
as someone who builds in the sims I love interior design but struggle with making a floor plan, seeing you new to the sims and using only base game to do this cool challenge was inspiring and very interesting, amazing job. you using the actual floor plan image makes me want to do the same with random floor plans. really nice video!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm hoping to do more Floorplan/real-life to Sim conversions, it's super fun! Especially if you're not sure where to start with floor plans, I like to try to improve existing ones to make them better :) Good luck! 🙏💕
I always use the tub as a reference when building houses from life in the Sims
That's a good idea! I like referencing bed sizes too :)
Very nice!
Thank you! <3
your living room would 15x12 (5x4 sq) bedroom 3: 9x9 (2x2 sq) bedroom2: 9x12 (3x4 sq) skinny 3' wide hallways (1 sq) , kitchen fits pretty well at 12x 15.... master- er um oops the PC word is MAIN (lol) would be 12x 12 (4x4) ..... in your finished one your bedroom is like 15x18
yes sadly sims4 uses about 3 ft or a meter to a square and not being able to put walls on the off squares can really hamper a layout! so a 10 ft roomis either 9 or 12 ft!
So true! It really is like piecing together a puzzle! Also worth noting that other items are off in scale too. Conventional countertops are 2' deep, for example, but take up a 3' square in Sims. Dont get me started on widths lolol I understand why they do this but it throws things off over time too!
I just found you page and I love you your definitely my top 10
Ahh thank you so much for the kind words! If there's any ways I can improve please let me know! 🙏
this was recommend to me and i am so excited to watch the second part! the walk thru of your house reminds me a lot of mine in structure and style. i currently live in a late 50s/early 60s home that i dream of renovating, as it is fully original except for the appliances. i rent, not own, so i have to do all my renos in the sims. i've played for many years but enjoy watching smaller youtubers or non-simmers use build mode for realistic builds, as that is primarily how i play the game. please consider doing more videos like these, where you recreate older homes then reno them!
Omg thank you so much for the kind words! YES YES! We've started a Zillowcraft series on Sims 4 where we find crazy/cool homes in real life to recreate in game and then reno! Im super biased towards older homes with character, they are the most fun! I think there'll be a lot more Sims4 content on my channel moving forward! Didn't realize how much love it gets LOL <3
GO TO TIMMY TURNER THE FIRST TIME I CAN COME OVER AFTER WORK ON MY WAY BACK TO THE HOUSE AND A FEW DAYS LATER THIS WEEK TIMMY TURNER BOY WHO IS THIS IS WHAT YOU GET A CHANCE OF BEING BEING IN MY WAY BACK TO THE HOUSE AND
Excited to see there will be more sims 4 builds soon! I mostly build rather than actual game play, so I’m excited to have another channel to watch🤗
Thank you for the kind words! I'm planning to share the unrenovated zillow homes to the gallery so hopefully, viewers can enjoy renoing them their way afterwards too!
OMGG i love this sm ive been wanting to do the same thing! good luck w ur reno !! ^^
AHH thank you so much!! It was super fun you absolutely should! 🙏💕
Yay The Sims 4 again! The first is how I found ur channel 😊
Omg really? Ah I love that! More Sims content coming for sure! We've started building real houses from Zillow in game and renovating them so that series will hit YT soon! ^^
Also my husband is an interior designer and he always helps me with my roofing, although he doesn't play the sims he has a better vision on how to build realistic roofs. Btw his work is done on sketch up
Ahh I love that! I use Autodesk Revit for my work. Sketchup scares me (it's got a learning curve), props to him! Residential roofs are hard LOL
I love that you built with only base game! When I had only base game I downloaded so much cc content to replicate houses that I liked on Pinterest
After this I've started to accumulate more content slowly! ^^;
❤❤❤
<33
This is really helpful for my laundry room reno!
Hopefully a laundry room is a bit easier than a tiled bathroom LOL Good luck!
@@angorabuilds definitely 😁
Has been my favourite for a number of years
It's SO GOOD!
I love your channel you're inspired me to renovate a room in my house, this is such a vibe ✨
That's exciting! Renos are so fun :) Thank you so so much,!
Would you please recommend more sites like RONA to search ?
I'm not sure what would be available to you in Brasil, but I generally rotate between Rona, Lowes, Home Depot, Home Hardware and Ikea for early/rough pricing because they have so much listed on their websites. If you're buying larger quantities of materials or finishes, I generally go straight to manufacturers and suppliers as it is often more cost effective. I also always try to source used, resold, or deadstock items first (construction consignment essentially) before defaulting to new, but that is a process I will talk about in my next video :)
Just found your video now, I'm subscribing on it I really loved how you started to explain how you were thinking during the 3D creation, it makes me think a lot about my apartment construction, it was a great chalenge to keep all my finances and the project going, I've acomplishied it , a really chalenge on life - Talking from Osasco/SP - Brasil !
Oh my gosh, thank you for the kind words! My intent with my channel is to help with understanding design logic while also sharing my love of seeing design manifested to real construction. I'm happy to hear I may be accomplishing that so your comment is appreciated!
Loved the little bio section, really interesting 😁
Ahh thank you! 😊

OKAY FLW!! did not know this existed! Another Great video :D
Ahh Thank you! ^^ I'm curious about how you thought this house did emulating FLW aha
I would love to see this done over with some cc 😭
This was really motivating to start getting some! 😂
@@angorabuilds It will change everything I can’t build without it lol
@@kayylanny I know where to hunt down CC for sims appearances, but do you have a direction to point me for good building & decor cc?
Nice reactions
i love love the house! I did not the negative critiques you gave.
The full length tour without my commentary is linked in the video description 😊
Thanks for the vid! I agree with most of the things that you said. I don't like ladders, don't like to store clothes in the loft, prefer to have a 1st floor main bedroom, prefer smaller sofa & bigger kitchen. Also don't like gooseneck - I think they look awkward. You deserve more views. Good luck & all the best to you!
Thank you so much for the kind words! <3
The 50s were not built well😂😂 sure better than now but sill not well
Tbh, can we say any home built for mass production and profit is? 🙈
great info
Thank you!
1953 bungalo here, excellent build quality, just got bad grading around the house though right now.
I think ours is '52 so we almost match! Is the grading something you'll need to fix imminently? We have a concrete paver sloping rainwater into the foundation so that's our spring project ^^'
What about galvanized or lead pipes
I just remembered of asbestos as well. There is a lot of safety issues with buying a pre 70's or 60's house i just rather buy a early 2000s and do a whole house check if id have to do one with earlier ones as well
Ohh that's a fair point! Definitely something to be mindful of. Luckily, our home was constructed using copper piping with a cast-iron sewer main, but we did have to upgrade our electrical paneling... Our priority when shopping was good bones, but can't win 'em all!
Have you checked our Shaye's Sophie design? We initially were going to go with Hazel, but Sophie has the lounge at the end and the kitchen in the middle, we are taking out the tall pantry and replacing with a breakfast bar between the kitchen and lounge.
Ahh I love all of her designs, they're all so good! Fav tiny home designer for sure. That's such a fabulous idea! It'll really tie in the living room side to the kitchen!
if you are going to talk over the people, STOP the video while you do
Thanks for the feedback! This has been brought to my attention and I'll be doing this moving forward! :)
you need to be quiet and let us hear them
Way too much talking from the lady…. I could not hear very much of the man talking… she was a total distraction!!!
This is a reaction video meant to showcase my commentary. The original full length home tour is linked in the video description if you'd prefer to watch uninterrupted and without my input! :)
This design is great! I liked the commentary on all the little things to improve it too, lots of little things I wouldnt even think about too much like the washer dryer placement.
Thank you! 😊
Nice to hear the perspectives of a professional on these designs! Made some good points to add to anyone’s consideration, especially for tiny living.
Thank you! Your comment is appreciated :)
You talk too much through the presentation
Hi Nancy! This is a *reaction* video intended to focus on my commentary on the presentation rather than the presentation itself. The original, full length video is linked in the description if you wish to watch it without my input! I highly recommend it! It's beautiful!
The language is descriptive literary style. Beautiful video, too bad it was spoiled by the chatter of the commentary about the architecture.
Ah! Thank you for the explanation! I'm a professional technologist and don't have formal design training. My commentary comes from the perspective of a laymen in that regard, so I appreciate the insight! Though if I'm being honest, the overly schematic nature of some architectural design and the prioritization of artistic execution before practical implementation rather than a balance of the two has kept me from pursuing a formal MArch, so I am biased, but it's just my opinion! :P I also agree that this presentation specifically is absolutely beautiful! The original video is linked in the video description if you'd like the view it in full sans my commentary, I do recommend it! :)
Niceeeeee. Love this home!
Ahh thank you!! Me too 😊
