Increase The Value Of Your Simple Woodworking Projects!
The Simplest Way To Increase The Value Of Your Woodworking Projects is To Make Them Unique and Personalized. If you can find a way to make your project stand out against the crowd, you will sell them faster and be able to charge what you want for it.
In this video, all I did was take the bookshelf that we made last time and engrave patterns on it. It might not sound like much but, these patterns are not just basic designs. They are actually the customers wifes tattoos. And that is what makes this bookshelf special to both of them.

    You can tell the experience you have is far above most. Honestly one of the best walkthrough videos. I recommend adding some background music though for empty noise filler. I’d argue you are one of the best channels I’ve found since getting into woodworking.

I tried to use music in the past but, I listen to everything from folk, classical and alternative to edm, rock and, whiskey blues. It’s hard to find something that will resonate with everyone. Great Christmas tree, cant waitbto make one. Could you not use one of the early long offcuts to use on the fence so the lengths stay at the right angle?

    • @hardshellwoodworks
      @hardshellwoodworks 13 днів тому

      Hey Allison, Thank you. It's definitely a fun project. If I understand your question correctly, 04:20 , someone could use a longer cut-off up against the fence instead of square stock/scrap to make sure the pieces stay at the same angle. However, I think that to keep it flat to the base of the saw and the back of the piece, they would need to "shim" a piece in behind it and the fence to keep it from rolling when it gets attached. It might make it easier in the long run. That's actually an excellent question. Honest answer, I don't know🤣

      Hey Steve. To be completely honest, I don’t know. Hey Larry! There are a lot of lasers out there on the market and it really depends on what you want to do with one. If it's a laser for woodworking then I would definitely recommend a diode. The one I have is amzn.to/4cbYKmt It can handle anything I'm trying to do from cutting to engraving and so much more. I'm actually going to pick up another one so I can run 2 at the same time as there are so many things that can be done with them. I've actually been making a bunch of pinecone lights and tealight holders non stop as they seem to sell very well for me and people love them. There's also a guy on youtube @TheLouisianaHobbyGuy where I learned the software (Lightburn) from who is really good at teaching and explaining. I hope that helps! Hey Todd! I did make an "assembly" jig for this tree. Once I built the first Christmas tree, I basically cheated. I took a piece of 3/4" mdf and laid the tree down on it and filled the empty spots in with scrap cut-offs and nailed it down along with a "border". That way, once i had the pieces to a tree cut,I could lay them in the empy slots and put it all together without having to take time to line everything back up with the square and pull numbers. I hope that helps. It's definitely a quick way to do it but very effective if you wanted to batch a bunch out as templates save a lot of time.
