Fake 3D Building Animation in Procreate Dreams
Here is another little fake 3D scene I am working on. In the comments under my last video, a lot of people seemed to be interested in fake 3D techniques. I am currently working on an advanced Fake 3D Animation tutorial in Procreate Dreams. Stay tuned for future tutorial content.

4 Months Animation in PROCREATE DREAMS in 1 Montage

This is a Montage of all Animations I did in Procreate Dreams since it’s release 4 months ago in late November. Pretty much all background illustrations were previously done in classic Procreate. Music and sound are from Pixabay, editing in LumaFusion. Every clip in this montage is still Work-In-Progress, stay tuned for updates and more animated clips and tutorials in the future. In this time-lapse, I am showing my painting process in Procreate. After finishing the digital artwork in Procreate, I went on to animating it in Procreate Dreams. Some background elements (the two main structures e.g.) are pencil-on-paper scans from my sketchbook, the rest is entirely painted inside Procreate. #procreatedreams #procreate

Very nice 3D effect! I wouldn't call it "fake" since you use perspective. All 3D on a 2D screen is 'fake' after all. Great job explaining this, thanks!
How did the building move through the clouds to towards the screen? Very cool animation ❤
I'm practicing using multiple tracks. I'm an illustrator so I understand the process of developing compelling and extremely clicky/satisfying connections, I just struggle with actually animating and structuring my project. At first I wanted to avoid multiple tracks, but I'm starting to warm up to the idea.

Like a Multiplane Camera.
There is no real camera in Dreams at the moment, instead you have to group planes and then move them, while the camera remains static, check out my other tutorials for clarification… ;)

PS: Option B!! I would love a tutorial on the advanced fake 3D effect!! I know you’ve already done one, using the common anchor points, but I would love to see how you did this specific scene that is sooo immersive like we truly feel like we’re in the airship!! Incredible work again!
I am really happy you like this scene, means a lot, especially from a fellow artist. It was my goal to make this scene very immersive, it’s really rewarding when people appreciate the effort put into this. Seems like I’ll do another one on the fake 3D technique, B is currently in the lead :)
This is incredible. I have been through the process of trial and error to make subtle character expression animation. But putting this whole scene together.. jeez you pushed the use of the app so far lol, this is so much work!! Incredible rly!
