Advanced black and grey realism tattoo tutorial by Luke Sayer
Messy and way to much talking never leave that much ink on the skin stay clean so you can see what your doing at all times build a habit
Every good piece starts with a great STENCIL. This is clearly a great one to follow
where you buy fake skin?
Sick ! Do you make the skin by yourself? Can we know how you do it thanks !
Hi Luke will there be any video in the future on how to do a portrait tattoo?
Your Instagram Please
Name your tattoo machine please
@@giangngo4043 used a dragonhawk mast archer, discount code Lukesayer
Cool trick and thanks for sharing ! I am trying to transition into realism and out of traditional. I noticed when you applied the stencil you pushed it on with just your hand. Something I have been doing for a long time is placing a paper towel over the stencil and push it down, it soaks up any extra moisture and also helps to not smudge or double press. I just thought I would share if you wanted to give it a shot.
Ahh amazing thanks for sharing il be giving that a try for sure 🙌🙌
The puurrfect stencil 🤘🏻 idk if that was intentional but 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I noticed that too the purrr fect stencil 🤣🤣🤣
Been a while but, Luke is back! I always get a lesson from you bro!
🙌🙌🙌🙌
You have to be careful with that style of stencil, it destroys so many of your highlight and white areas, look at all the white fur, the negative space around the whiskers is full black in the stencil. It gets a lot wrong with with the subtle side-by-side lighter values.
Doesn’t destroy.. thats why you use multiple references while doing the tattoo (but to you Luke, upload the finished tattoo)
If you get chance upload a video of what you mean I'd be keen to see :) I've tried many options for stencil and this works best for me, and as soon as I started using these style of stencils my work got much better, I like hand stencils because it gives you a practice run through of the design, but as I Said in the video these filters are alot more accurate for the details and you can adjust the bars to get it how you like, they don't work for every design eg portraits but most I prefer,
Cant wait to see the finish result
🙌🙌🙌
🙌🙌
Thank you 🙏 this is a really helpful video. Is it giving the same results as “color dodge, Gaussian blur” (you know) in procreate? Can you share the original picture and stencil picture? I have brother 883 and I want to try print same thing.
That's so interesting I'm not sure, il attach the Pinterest link for the photo I used, lmk how it goes would be great to see, I've never used pro create for the stencil pin.it/10Ny1V8hc
@@LukeSayerTattoo I have not photoshop. If you share your stencil photo (that you made in ps) , I can try the same print.
6:20 Can you give me that picture?
Great idea.. 👍
🙌👍👍
That’s help me fu**** a lot , u doing amazing waiting for another videos ❤
Thankyou more coming on soon 🙌
What are the benefits of making your own drop system vs a premade drop set? My mentor just pushes me to use the premade bc he feels systems can be inconsistent. And I mean setting up greenwash by ink cap before tattooing, not so much this method
Yeah I wouldn't use a drop system as it inconsistent but doing it this way it is exactly the same everytime, it's cheaper and straight from the black so it's darker and heals exactly as you put it in, I like some pre made washes but even the best ones are just the same as this but they cost over 100, and are just mixed in bigger batches
Amazing tutorial! Thank you, very much.
🙌🙌🙌
Gel speed stick Deodorant works for a better more darker stencil in drys within 2 mins
Thank you so much for this! Outstanding.
So 50% is xtra dark🤔 over here that’s medium🤙🏻
@reneenmoniqueagenda5271 is that the way you water it down in the ink caps?
Amazing content. Amazing artist. Greatly appreciate your knowledge and teaching. Thank you
And I think they’re cheaper just because if they’re built in bigger mass quantities like let’s say just a high-tech electric hair shaver or hair clippers there’s a lot more going on in that and those are only about 75 bucks to 150 maybe max 300 for the nicest you can get so when you look inside rotary direct drive machines and see how little moving parts actually are actually so simple and basic and just a lipo battery attatched like same as a wireless hair clipper or at least that’s how I kinda look at it like stuff gets expensive when you need precision stuff with low tolerance but again if it’s mass produced then the price should be low
And that’s if it’s all made in china and they have like no advertising or real quality controll or maybe they don’t have a warrenty idk
Awesome how’s the thing held up 4 months later
@AndrueSOCAL using it every day fully converted over now, the 2 people who work with me bought 1 also, I bought 2 battery packs for my inkjecta but it just doesn't compare, the battery life on these dragonhawks are insane literally last days rather than hours, I always like getting the more expensive premium equipment, but this seems to be better than anything I've tried so far, I think il order another as a back up just incase, the guy who works with me let his run out of battery and it never came back on but they replaced it for free and said shouldn't let it run out, that seems to be the only thing, so I won't be letting myn run out haha
@@LukeSayerTattoo wow that’s a good review to hear, where do you buy it so you get a replacement if it breaks?
@@AndrueSOCAL i got it straight from dragonhawk on there website dragonhawkofficial.com/ they gave me a code if you end up getting one just type lukesayer on the checkout bit should knock some off
Hello, I would like to know which fake skin this is and where to buy it?

Pls keep making vids like this your a great teacher and awesome works
Thanks @xandersediescakes6055 🤟
Hand transfer is always more permanent. But now machine transfer is more common. I'd love to see how you do it in Procreate. And if there are ways to make the template more permanent?
I watched this video two times completely. Really pleasant. I'll try this soon. I would like to see hyper realistic portrait video from you. I wish you success in your UA-cam life.👏
TF I just walk in on??
Good song!
I want a tattoo on my neck
I need these guys with me when I get my first tattoo soon! I love the "ouch!" at the end. Haha
Love teddy
Got a tattoo of you when you worked in penrith, crazy how far you have come and all you jave achieved, this piece is absolutely amazing
Ink from reputable makers have some shakers inside, is it safe to drop a couple of stainless steel ball bearings as a shaker? or any recommendations to use as a shaker?
Marbles, soak in rubbing alcohol and drop them in.
For t he viewers, if you are watching on an iPad. Flip the I pad upside down, then lock the screen (right corner pull down menu) then flip it back and you’ll have a way better view of this awesome tutorial. 👍🏼
Excellent! Was hoping you would brush each ink tone on a paper to show the difference in them. Also, Dynamic black is derived from a BLUE tone. When it heals, it has a blue look to it. 👍🏼
@CHUEYINK that's a really good idea I should've done that 👍👍👍
@CHUEYINK I once forgot to put the lables on and the got muddled up and I had to brush them on paper to figure them out tho 🤣
This is why I love art
Will the ink be damaged if left for too long?
How long did this take you in total?
where can i find the stencil 😢
Love your tattoos could you do a baby monkey if possible keep the videos coming
You’ve been such a huge inspiration and impact to my tattoo journey
Ohhh my days. I have been waiting for other of your videos Luke
I really appreciate the time you put into your content. Thanks for helping a super beginner like me out.
this is awesome brother! thank you for this, new sub here ! may i ask, what stencil printer do you use, your stencil is very nice
What skin do You use in the tutorial?
