    I met a women who had kids to 2 separate dads. 2 months went by, went from being all lovely to deadly. Telling me I can’t hold down a job… she needs sustainability and then space… Well guess what. Even thought we had a holiday booked which was terrible idea and waste of money. I ended it. Too much stress and drama. She expected me to go half on everything that she was paying for her kids. But not the biology dads?? But you gotta learn from the past fellas. Anyone who thinks any different is a mug. If your a dad out there, regardless if your with your partner or not. You should be supporting them kids indefinitely and no women should be expecting a guy, especially a guy she’s dating with no kids to supply them.

    It’s so hard for me when I hear the most ridiculous ideas coming out of grown, hopefully, educated men. The love a person has for a mother is different from the one he has for a father and it’s different from the one for a husband, wife, child or sibling. Who says a woman with children cannot fully love and care for a man. Only insecure men get into competition over the love of a woman. Women are the most wonderful creatures of all creation and they have enough love to go around. They are like Mother Nature. They emit love and nurture all. It takes a matured man to nurture a life regardless if the life is his dna or not. There are fathers and there are fathers. I doff my hat to stepfathers and stepmothers who have raised wonderful children. Your love is invaluable and you deserve to be called mom/dad by ALL your children. You are God’s gift to mankind!

    I pray that our black community heal from that slave mentality. Dudes be doing the most and black women seem to always get the short end of the stick. Damn if we do and damn if we don't. Our bodies are meant to have kids. If you come in prepared, knowing that she has kids or vice versa, it's a packaged deal. Don't tell people to stay away because every woman is not the same. I've been hurt over and over again by men. Some with kids. Im not going to tell the next woman to not date a man with kids. Kids are a blessing. You never know. That woman that already has kids could be the greatest life situation that you've experienced. Real is either in you or on you. No in between. No grey. No matter what their past is.

    The C400 cannot replace a camera like the XF605. Does the aperture close when zooming in? So what, are you filming football or basketball in the dark? Your 18-105 lens will also not be able to replace the built-in one in the xf605

      There is an upside to R3D in KX but having 2 SDI outputs and full size HDMI on top of all the other IO built in to the camera, yeah Bro the C400 will be easier to work with solo and with a crew. I've been asking RED to give us XLR audio so I can leave the mixer behind when I'm out shooting...it is unlikely that it will happen. That is one example of a whole lot of extras you have to bring with on a project not to mention ND filters, modules, grip, support, and peripherals because you know I need to see the image.

    I see Gerald's point that he's upset that Panasonic stopped hitting him up for trips because he said the camera was weird. Some of these UA-camrs will tell you to not buy any new gear. Clearly that person is not invited to the camera launch party. I think that most customers don't know a lot and they will heard advice on UA-cam but not have enough skill and knowledge to actually understand what the advice was, so they will get it wrong. They then hear Gerald say this camera is weird and they don't buy it when they would have liked it. I can see both sides.

    As a LUMIX user I felt a lot of the hate came from Sony users because Sony flies folks out too but now that LUMIX is growing from a camera that wasn’t deemed pro gear to a true competitor of Sony and Canon folks are trying to defend why they are spending twice as much for Sony. Many of the reviews of the S9 stated that it’s a fun camera but not a professional cinema cam. I’m considering getting the S9 because I shoot street photography with film and the in cam Luts will help make that experience fun. Also if I’m doing SM ads for clients I think the S9 would be a great camera where you can do an interview or gear review, edit in camera and deliver ASAP. Time is money so that’s to benefit of it. I don’t think anyone lied or were dishonest

    In lots of countries you can't simply "rent" gear so you if you plan to relly on YT reviews you simply cannot trust in anyone that is "having fun" with the gear because that is subjective. You should not assume things. Viewers should be totally aware of sponsorships of any kind. Gerald's video was not about the camera specs, was about how companies, Panasonic specifically, target creators for fabricating good initial impressions. Creators can have gear sent to them for review and I bet it would be far cheaper than have them fliying and accomodated in Japan.

    I liked a comment about Gerald's video that just asked, "why now?" No one said anything for years when this was going on. Shimoda sends $400 bags to UA-camrs like junkmail and no one bats an eye. It's only now when Gerald gets left out that he decides to make this moral stand. I like the guy's channel but let's be real - small UA-camrs can't go out and just buy all the new cameras to review them, and let's not pretend that professional gear reviewers aren't salesmen. If there's no gear, what do they talk about? Just look at Marques Brownlee - dude has a 7 figure income. Everyone is chasing that success to be the next Brownlee or Unbox therapy which means talking about new products and "helping" people spend their money.

    • @eek0212
      @eek0212 2 місяці тому

      Why Now? I think because its time to go back in time when youtube first introduced in this world. Back than most of contents creator have real job. Contents creating wasnt source of their main income. So most of video was look way more sincere even there are some bias on their messages.

    • @lionheart4424
      @lionheart4424 2 місяці тому

      Seems like you did not watched the entire video or did not get Gerald's point. Its not about him specifically being left out, but about Panasonic getting people that would "enjoy" using the camera to share good opinions in a pleasant trip environment. This cause that the initial "reviews" are biased towards the trip experience rather than properly and objectively documenting the pros and cons of the gear. Basically they want to push initial sales with influencers' first takes. Then when people buy it and realize they need to upgrade, its too late. So NOW is still a good time to have the conversation. UA-camrs can still have gear sent to them and they can review it properly and within a better time frame.

      Yeah but you're tripping if you dont think Gerald's opinion matters for long term sales. I and many others literally bought an S5 due to his review. If he never reviews a Lumix again, or cloaks it in negativity, then attention for its own sake wont be enough to be a net postiive. There's a reason a negative MKHD review can destory a company today.

  • @hanumanguy
    @hanumanguy 2 місяці тому

    Thanks Maurice for making this video, yes its about what we create not what we use to do it. Dan Milnor, who has worked at a very high level industry in the photography, mainly in documentary photography, said not along ago that all that matters is the work. I don't think anyone can name a genre of photography whether it be commercial or artistic that can't be done very well with gear that is 5, 6, 7 years or even older. I recently won a judges award at an art exhibit (not just photography) with a used Lumix GX85 that cost me $400. I appreciate a lot channels that review older equipment "how does this camera stand up in 2024" kind of thing. This is a great service, helps enthusiasts get great gear on a budget. I also watch channels that just focus on the art of photography like Tatiana Hopper and The Photographic Eye and some the focus on technique like travel photographer Mitchell Kanashkevich. Regards UA-camrs that do reviews of new gear and have brand relationships. Nothing wrong with what they do. They aren't shills or liars but viewers need to understand that they help camera companies sell cameras and in return it helps them build a UA-cam business and that's it. And as you pointed out they can't be bias free because there is an inherent conflict of interest - Their business depends on access and access depends on being at least somewhat favorable towards the gear they are reviewing. Just giving some cons doesn't mean a review is not biased - for example you don't here influencers say, you don't need this $1500 camera, you can do the job with a 2017 camera that costs $700. By the way there are UA-camrs that mix public service content with influencer content, Micro Four Nerds (Emily) and The Art of Photography (Ted Forbes) for example. They provide a lot of free very valuable content to their community and only sometimes do the influencer content. I do expect them to disclose when they are doing influencer content. I think Panasonic over did this launch, by inviting 150 influencers they basically purchased the UA-cam photography also for a week or so and that pissed people off. It felt like getting 30 door knockers in the same day selling something. Not surprising there was a negative reaction. My advice for influencers or part time influencers is, be honest about who you are and what you do and don't try expect to have the same respect in terms of neutrality as a journalist. And for viewers, try to be constructive in your feedback, name calling never was a good look. The biggest winner in all of this was UA-cam/Google, all about the clicks baby!
