Hi Annie, really like your presentation , I grew up listening to Paul Butterfield Blues Band, in Daytona Beach after high school. Haven't played harmonica much, but am getting interested again. I bought a couple harps at the music store last year, but they weren't blues harps. Hohner Old Standby, then I was ordering something from Temu and they had these harps called East Top, crazy cheap price so thought I'd try one they had called Free Blues. Wow! reminded me of the original Hohner Blues harp . It really wales....... Thanks again for your video, I'll be watching !!

50 years ago I had a Hohner Hoosier Boy harmonica. Fitting, since i am from Indiana.

You left out the "Hohner Golden Melody" Progressive perhaps the best playing/sounding Hohner Harmonica and has a hard time pulling mustashe hairs!

I love how she plays deep blues like a grizzled old guy in a faded cowboy hat and then just goes right on with a very professional review. Brilliant playing and you really hear the differences in harmonicas.

Marine bands are great fun. But you can get a great feel outta cheapo silver stars if that's your budget, but chromatic honer is NEXT LEVEL ❤❤❤

Cool to randomly run across this and learn about something I knew nothing about!

I was surprised not to see any harmonicas with a visually obvious chromatic button for playing the semitones. I had a Hohner with a chromatic button when I was 7 years old and it opened up a lot of musical limits being able to select notes outside the diatonic scale - have I missed something here or do harmonicas no longer need chromatic buttons? Someone enlighten me please!

When i was younger, I played with the Marine Band harmonica. They were sweet, I used to dip them in water before playing to sweeten them up and they would bend easier.

Oh! The Hohner Blues Harp has a really nice sound!

I play on my Great Grandpa harmonica he brought from Germany. Hohner Goliath made in between 1871 &1881
