For those of you new to the channel, a heartfelt welcome and cheers. My name is Siddharth Kumar and I have one goal: be the greatest entertainer of modern times.
I am an engineer by training, set to graduate from the University of Waterloo with a bachelors in mechanical engineering in April of 2021. But when I'm not working on school, I'm working my full time job as an engineer at the biggest tech company in the world, acting, producing, writing, directing, animating and working on creating art that inspires and excites me.
From this channel you can expect vlogs of my life, ramblings about philosophy and what I am learning as I go through life, shared experiences, lifestyle thoughts, and short films.
I truly hope you stick around for this journey because I promise you it's gonna be a hell of a ride.
Sincerely,
Siddharth Kumar

Valedictorian Speech | University of Waterloo | Mechanical Engineering 2022
Having opportunity to represent my cohort for the 2022 Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Class was an honour beyond words. To have the opportunity to try and encapsulate our experience as a collective and add some value to this already momentous occasion was the sort of challenge I look forward to. Thank you to my family, friends and all involved. I hope to do you proud.

My approach to handling my tech addiction

I shot this video in May, but at the time I felt that I didn't truly live through and experience the things I was talking about in a way that made it honest enough. So I took another six months and lived through a period of truly understanding digital detox and my relationships to technology before feeling comfortable publishing this. Either way, I feel like this video is more pertinent than ev...

Love it can’t wait for more
Awesome storytelling! Those were some good times man
My maaan! Thank you for making it such a crazy day!
Great theory..
Excellent video. I am using it in my leadership class.
Thank you sir! You deserve some credit on the values part - something you always spoke about in class. Always appreciate the support
Hey Siddharth, great video, I think there's quite a few things from here that I want to implement in my own life. One thing I did was journaling my thoughts but never thought of straight up writing questions for my self, sounds like a great idea, thanks for the tip! And the basket thing omg, I've had trouble managing so many of goals that I set for my self, but rather putting them in a basket and pursuing one at a time is something I feel like will help me tremendously and actually make me feel like I'm progressing with my goals. Your video quality is awesome man, to be honest I didn't expect to hear things that I already didn't know. But you really surprised me, and I'm happy you did, honestly amazing stuff.
(I made the previous comment half way through lel) Adding on I have to try the white boarding, already have one in my room that I use for problem solving, so repurposing will be easy!
Haha thank you so much man! It’s awesome to hear to that it helps even a little bit! I hope the baskets help find a bit more clarity - it was a game changer for me personally. Always good to hear from you man!
This was a great video! Seems like its time to get a whiteboard!
I really enjoyed this video! As I am leaving high school next year, I hope I can use your goal-setting strategies to use my time effectively.
Hey Nazeefa! Thank you! I wish you all the best!
Thank you for sharing this. I will be applying some of the things from here to my own life. Great quality. Keep pumping these out and I'm certain this channel will blow up! I have some questions though. What are some of the disadvantages of this approach? What is your opinion on the idea of splitting things up into baskets and constantly working in several directions in life, instead of pumping all efforts in the same direction for a period of your life?
Thanks for the thoughts! I think that what you’re saying is very valid - the way I see it, the ultimate goal of this system would be to eventually simplify my buckets into a single area where I can focus all my energy. At different points in life there are different things that will inspire me or drive me but I have a sense that as I under myself better they’ll start converging towards a single idea. Because ultimately I think you’re right - the spread of energy means you’re not 100% on any one thing. It’s just a matter of where you are in life and what you can put your energy towards.
Great video! I found the reverse planning on whiteboards supervaluable, definitely going to try it out 🙂
My maaan! Thank you!
Patiently waiting for the pandemic to end so we can plan the next trip :P
This is unbelievably fun to watch while locked down. Can't wait to go back out into crowds.
Good stuff man! 👍
Appreciate it!
I relate to the cold turkey and then slowly increasing usage until I feel trapped in it again. It becomes even more complicated when you are creating content and want to share it. It is very much about being honest with yourself, am I going there to share and get inspired or is that just a cover for providing my restless brain with stimulus. Another thing I find is that people are not aware of the efforts on the other side of this battle. An entire industry is competing for our attention. An industry with the smartest people working together to figure out how to increase our usage, with technology that gets a little bit better at doing that everyday. Overall, a very relatable video. Loved the visual storytelling in the beginning.
Beautiful video. I loved how everything was timed- a great life, indeed!
Thanks so much!
I appreciate hearing you.
Thank you! I appreciate the support.
As always, you speak with passion, conviction, honesty, and integrity. I know that you are a man who brings out the best of those around you. I would be intrigued to hear about your dream if you feel so inclined. - Mr. Andrews
Thank you sir. Your words always serve as a reminder of where I come from. I’d love to talk to you about it. I’ll reach out!
Wonderful thoughts. The concept of developing ego with giving is really a good check for everyone.
I love the way you broke this down. Our egos do get in the way too often.
Thanks for the comment Nazeefa! It’s a challenging balance in a lot of ways I find.
Amazing video and some really insightful thoughts as always. I find this applies to myself too...sometimes being selfish is the best you can do for everyone around you, gotta maintain that cup lol
Devidutta Biswabharati thanks maynnn
Love this, excellent work as always my man!
My maaaan! Thank you brother. Hope you doing well!
Inaction... One of my favorite topics.

Question: What about unface-able fears? Example; I fear that I will never know who I want to be and as a result will be in a permanent state of limbo. IMO a fear that can't be overcome is an unbreakable curse. Unless you can trick yourself into thinking the fear isn't a fear. Which is what religion is for ( a way to explain the inexplicable )
