In this channel, you will find many videos on cars modifications and fabrications. I am an engineer, not a mechanic. I do these work strictly in the weekend as a hobby. I love being out in the garage turning wrenches. My interests are fast cars, classic cars, restomods, lifted trucks and stereo systems. You will find lots of my projects revolve around these.

Episode 41 - "Downpipe Fail" Building a Real-life HALO Warthog from a Military HUMVEE In this episode, I finished up the handbrake setup and started to install the downpipe. There was a slight interference with the firewall as expected. Nothing KT Garage can't handle! I cut a relief on the firewall to build a recess to clear the downpipe. The fabrication will be continued next week. For those o...

Episode 40 - "Handbrake Fab" Building a Real-life HALO Warthog from a Military HUMVEE In this episode, I spent quite a bit of time fabrication a bracket to mount the handbrake assembly and to create some clearance for the brake cable (rod) to go through. There is 2x2 column that is in the way, which I had to cut 2 separate holes to provide clearance for the pulling rod to go through. In this mu...

Episode 39 - "Turn Signal Installation and More" Building a Real-life HALO Warthog from a Military HUMVEE In this episode, I had to go back and fix the steering wheel as it was installed upside down. I worked on the hood and center console a bit but ran out of time. I ended up taking my cars out for a ride around the neighborhood to work out some frustrations with the build. Will get back on th...

Episode 36 - "Headlight Custom Fab" Building a Real-life HALO Warthog from a Military HUMVEE In this episode, I installed the custom headlight. Parts came from the late model Honda vehicles. This was the first drive test of the Boss 429 that I built from the ground up. At the end of the clip, you will see me lightly tapped the gas pedal. Wasn't meant to do a launch. My drivetrain is new, I had to take it easy during break-in.

Quad tips look good 👍
Thanks! I can't wait to see it finished with all the tips aligned!
got a kenwood dnx6190hd that was installed in my fox about 12 years ago, but I took it out and theres a ton of wires cut with no tape or anything, 2 ground connecters on a bolt with no wires in them, wires with wire showing but nothing to attach it to and no tape, so confused
Was your old stereo working when you took it out? If it is, you can easily identify the 12v positive constant and ignition from testing with a voltmeter. You can make your own ground to the metal brackets, forget about the old ground. Identity the speaker wire one by one like what I did. Forget about the old unidentified wires. Just cap it off.
@ktgarage1126 it was working, but they have a red wire (no idea what for) ran straight to the fuse box, and stuck it into a fuse outlet with a fuse. The radio turns on and off, but if the wire is left in, it'll drain the battery.
@ looks like you will need to clean up the wiring mess. A lot of these older cars were worked on by people that should never be allowed to work on cars! It’s a fire hazard.
@ktgarage1126 true that. What sucks is, it was installed by "profesionals" at a bestbuy, their car audio installer crews.
Places like that has a very high volume of cars inline for installation. They do bare minimal amount of work to get you out the door. It’s sad, but it is their bustiness model. I don’t trust any shop, I always do my own install!
Thank you for viewing. Hope y'all enjoyed the video. Please leave comments as it will help the channel grow.
🫡 sounds awesome
Thanks. Music to the ears!
Front splitter waaayyy to large... Disharmonic look of the car....
Appreciate your opinion. For what it’s worth, I removed the 2 vertical air splitter on the side to make it less aggressive. You can see it on my recent videos
Awesome progress!!!!! Can’t wait to see it with the hood on! But the brakes have to come first. Bravo on a job well done!!!!!
Appreciate you. It’s been a long journey, but getting there! I can’t wait to see it with the hood on as well!
Love the look! nailed the look, no doubt. Still waiting to see someone to do a Warthog build with the actual Wart Hog suspension. Halo creators went to a lot of trouble to create vehicles based on sound engineering. At least in the case of the Wart Hog.
Thanks. I thought about building the Warthog suspension at the start of the project, but it is quite difficult and would be very heavy and bulky to handle for a one man shop. I took the easy way and used the HUMVEE suspension.
It's the insurgen from gtav
just need machine gun on top
Rear diffuser?

You got me thinking about what I can use my extra v-10 and f350 4x4 running gear for.
Man, that would make a real nice custom build project! Maybe turn it into a giant rat rod 🤔
Inch by inch progress…awesome!
Thanks. Appreciate you viewing and supporting the channel!
Your project really inspired me! I finished two small projects that had been languishing and left undone for over five years! Keep up the amazing videos!
Thanks, that's awesome to hear! It is a great feeling to have stuff done. Appreciate your supports on the channel as always!
Totally destroyed the C8. Adding non functional parts puts it in the Honda, Subaru club.
Appreciate you sharing your opinion. Mods like this is not for everyone and I don’t expect everyone to agree. As long as I like it, that’s what matters. By the way, you have no idea how these fender vents work. They relieves the pressure in fender well. Obviously, you didn’t watch my video entirely to understand…. Get some education first, then come back and leave another comment.
looking good!!!!!!!
Thank you! Appreciate your support on the channel
Love it !!
Thanks. The sound and performance is really awesome
Great video! Directly too the point! Will be subscribing
Appreciate it. Thanks for subscribing!
@ I am looking now, did you get a VGT or Non-VGT turbo?
VGT. It will be a direct replace of your OEM
Got to love kids, got a couple of firebirds to teach him the basics. He lost interest after replacing the top end. Good news though, he starting to talk of getting it on the road.
Ya, they are raised in a different generation. My son works on him Camaro from time to time, but with that speed, he’ll be too old to drive!
how is the fuel mileage better or worse with the KC turbo? Thanks
It’s about the same with the OEM.
Holy Crap! The 3rd gen is my favorite! Way back in 1996 my first car was a White 3rd gen Z. Tell Jr. Have a safe trip back to school.
Thanks buddy. I will tell him!. He’s doing great with mechanical engineering on his second year!
Super Hog is looking good. I like the projector headlights.
Thanks buddy. Things are moving along!
Great job on the video! But....$50 for 7 o rings is highway robbery! Getting so tired of this scalping siciety we live in
@@Brian-ff7tw totally agreed. It’s a rip off. I almost didn’t want to do the rebuild because of the price of the seals!
What an incredible sound! I could just let it idle in the driveway and never feel the need to drive it! 😊
Thanks man. I really missed this beauty!
Bro's a motorhead for real. Classic Stang & a Vette. Nice!
Thanks. unfortunately, I sold the Mustang a few years ago. Made some room for the Vette :-) But I am building a classic Hellcat Challenger next!
Such a unique project. This thing is gonna be AWESOME!
Appreciate you. Please continue to support the channel!
Hey what fuel are you running?
Just normal diesel at the pump
@ I’m sorry I meant what fuel pump are you running, is it the stock cp4 or an upgraded pump. I have a dcr.
I am using the stock fuel pump. I went for stage 1, so no upgrade required. They recommend upgraded fuel pump if you run stage 3.
Best video ever. It fix my humvee hand break. Thank you
Glad to help! Appreciate your support on the channel.
I like your video. You cover some good topics on these cars. Looking forward to the upcoming videos!
Thanks. This is a really fun project car to work on.
You should see what these guys did with their Hummer. GrindHardPlumbingCo
Thanks for sharing. I thought about putting an LS in mine as well. Maybe at some point down the road!
turn up that idle just a tad. Looks like it has everything to make a Boss run hard unlike a stock one.
This was just the initial startup. Just trying to get the engine started. The carb was very carefully jetted and tuned afterwards
The only thing that I wish is that they had put the 70 frontend on the 69 body or the rear fender scoops on the 70 rear fenders .
@@philliplopez8745 agreed! some people went thru the conversion!
I don't need one. My pp is a decent size.
7 qts of oil…oh man
yes sir. and oil is not cheap either!
Wheels look great on there almost ready to test drive 😎👍
Thanks! Getting close to test drive !!!
1' wider.. thats insane... awesome!
Humvee on steroid 😀. Can’t wait to have it on the road!
@@ktgarage1126 my stock beast just squeezes on to my trailer, I could not tow the additional width :)
ya, there is no way I can tow on a trailer. I plan on towing with a tow bar and pull with my diesel F250 for long distance travel to go off road excursions. Driving the SuperHog locally will be a challenge as well. I will be taking a whole lane, then some :-)
congrats on getting the body on.. Its looking great!!!! so awesome , I was thinking it would be a few more months to get to this point, you really banged it out in december! we need to have a texas meetup of humvees.!
Thanks, I saved up my vacations for the month of December, which the temperature is nice to work outdoors! Love the idea of a Texas Humvee Meet Up!
Looks awesome. Lot of progress made.
Thanks! But unfortunately, I will be going back to just working on the weekends only as I have to come back to work during the week.
How does this channel not have more views?? Great work, and awesome father and son project. He’ll appreciate it when he’s older.
I appreciate that! Not too many people know about the channel yet, but I have been getting more viewers and hopefully the channel will grow quickly.
Hey, awesome build progress! Just to let you know that you inspired me to finish my little project. It's an operator's ladder for a CAT 980 Loader. Anyway, I got it painted and installed on New Year's Eve! Thanks for being that example of hard work, dedication and tenacity. I can't wait to see the big tires on that beast! It's just WOW!
Thanks my friend. Glad to hear you finished your project! Now you need to start another one 😀. Appreciate your tip on the pulling dust into the shopvac. Worked very well! I have a full day for the Super Hog today. Will be fun!
Turning out amazing but a little word for the wise don't bed line over bondo looking forward to the next video take care
Thank you! Yes, it is important to remember that bondo is not meant to be the structural base for bed liner.
awesome i love halo 48 years old and still playing computer games :) x
Very Cool. You will like this build as I was inspired by the Warthog. Wanted to build it a bit different to make it unique.
This project is awesome! Can't wait to see you drive this baby...
Thank you! I’m really excited to see it come together too!
Texas? Great Project Brother! Just Sub'd.
Ya, I am in Houston. Appreciate your support on the channel and glad to have you onboard!
@ktgarage1126 I thought so. I'm in Dallas. Ever since my flying saucer crashed... 🤠
haha.... UFO are closer to me than I thought :-)
Happy new year, bed liner looks good it will be cool to see it on the chassis 🦾😎👍
Happy New Year to you too! Thanks for the support. I can't wait to see it all come together either.
WOW! That clear coat really brought the color out. Looks fantastic.
Thanks! Not too many cars have this color, so it will be unique for sure!
I stumbled across this channel about a month or so ago and I'm really enjoying seeing all the progress you've made. Looks good, I'm excited too, haha.
@@BBurt775 Thank you for continuing to follow the build. Things will get very exiting this weekend as I will be installing to body onto the chassis. Please tune in!
Been silently following this for awhile, the build is shaping out awesome man!
@@irismartyn4088 Thanks for your support on the channel. Things will get more exciting each day as the build is getting closer to being done!
Very nice. I like the color.
Thank You!!! Decision is always hard when it comes to color. Appreciate you liking it!
Thank you for saving my old floor jack. Bought a seal kit vs a new 3.5 ton jack. The design was the same for an ac delco jack.
You’re welcome! It’s good to know I saved you some money and time by fixing the old jack instead of buying new one. Appreciate your support on the channel.
Great job🎉🎉
Thank you!!!
