Weld aluminum?
Yes it will do aluminum
Good grief! I've seen it all... Website password on your welder lol?! That's wild, man!
Can you explain to me what unit is used to measure metal thickness on this device?
In the US setting it is decimal inches. .065 =1/16" .120 = 1/8" .185 = 3/16" and so on. In the Standard it is metric
You should set your Syn to US as well, as the synergic line database uses different gas compositions when pulling the values for WFS/Voltage.
Im trying to understand the advantages
Alot less heat input.
how will it do on 1/4in a36?
You would want a larger machine. The 1500 is good for 1/8" maybe 3/16" I would go up to at least the 2000 for 1/4"
@@eastech3365 im trying to understand the advantages. I own a shop
I have a 2kw everlast and it's awesome. Almost full penetration on 1/4"
@@stephens4951 I'm thinking about getting one. Have you tried any keyhole welds with no filler? Right now we use TIG with .125 preps on butt welds but I'm wondering about welding them with no preps using a laser
@@leensteed7861 I make these riffle splitters from 24 and 16 ga stainless, and the laser has made them much easier to weld. Quick zap with no filler tacks it easily, and yes, I often don't use filler, and it fully penetrates the material. I've done that with up to 10 ga stainless. It's almost perfectly flat on top but fully welded under. Very fast with almost no warping.
In fronius you can lock evry avalible option and identyfia welder or start specyfic welding. Its posibil to config on wifi and you use RFID card on front panel of machine to log to machine like admin on regular user with restricted options.
Could someone help me with a radiator for this Tig? I need some photos of what the wiring looks like inside. I am building my own version of this cooler and the pump works and the fans work as well, but I have a problem with activating the temperature and flow measurement functions, but practically any photos of this cu600 cooler would help me.
It is DC only so you would not want this for welding aluminum tig. You can mig weld but not tig weld very well. AC would be the preferred way to tig aluminum.
Puede soldar aluminio con proceso TIG?

Thanks for sharing, can't wait to get mine! Lot to learn though
That thing is loud
What!??
La uso la in assoluto 👍💪
The input was 8 gauge coming from a 50amp 240 single phase connection. The wiring to the motor was also 8 gauge. The cord leading to the equipment after the converter is 10 gauge. Really depends on your distances so better look into that before you buy.
Nice, I have the same model but I have yet to find the time to hook it up. What gauge wire did you use for the single and three phase connections?
That hum would drive me crazy-er.
Yes that was helpful. Thank you sir. I hope you post more videos on the 2700 as there are not many out there.
i update my machines via Wireless Lan which is pretty cool
Hi , thanks for posting , great video . Would be nice if you could show us the update on te actual machine , your thougts and the difference . Thanks again
Excellent!!!!
Thank you for this!!!!!
If the face plate shows a "+"and a "-" then you need to swap them. If it shows a picture of a stinger, and a work lead it can do it internally. Tip I learned on miller stuff.
Do you need to swap leads or does reverse polarity automatically.? I just got one at work and can’t find it in the book
Jobmaster buttons :)
Fronius make nice stuff , but bys its not cheap , and worse than that its only compatible with itself .
Nice Video!!!!! TPS 270i action 💥💥💥
Hello my friend, I have been looking for a good welding machine for a long time and I am between two machines 1 kemppi master mig 355G Water cooler 2 fronius TPS 320i pulse Water cooler. (The one you have) your opinion will help me a lot because you have already worked on the machine. Are you satisfied with the result of the machine? Thank you 🙏
I can not speak for the kemppi 355g so that is not going to help you out much. I am very happy with this machine. The pulse options are incredible. It mainly stays loaded with aluminum and a push pull gun, but I have used it plenty with steel also and I don't have any complaints. I have an "up down" 15ft gun that I use for steel, and they can swap back and forth between my other fronius machines. (Push pull excluded, it only runs on the tpsi). Same drive wheels, same tips is just easy to run and always gets the job done. Good luck with your decision
@@eastech3365 Thank you...
Very nice piece of equipment, if you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it? the reason I ask is when I look them up the pricing seems to be wildly all over the place, thanks!
If you go to Baileigh's website they show the price on there. A trick is to buy it from a local distributor and they will get free freight to their store, where baileigh will charge you freight on top of the price. For something like this that could be $2500-4000. Mine was just under $40k
thanks man, and thanks for uploading the video, not a lot of info out there on these. What do you use it for mostly?@@eastech3365
Struggling with the exact same set up for aluminum. It seems like I have to lay a bunch of beads for like 10 minutes before the machine starts welding correctly. It comes all black and nasty like it’s dirty but eventually works at cell phone. Is there something wrong with the machine? I’ve sent the machine back in they say it’s fine change wire didn’t change anything, the welder has been sitting for about nine months now and I’ve been using my Miller but I don’t want to let a $18,000 welder go to waste can you help me out?
nice comment about the v grooves being too tight that it can actually square the wire.. but fronius use u groove rollers for steel and stainless as well as alu
74 decibels to be more exact. Maybe that will help
You call that quiet?
For a 20HP RPC, ya 74db is pretty quite.
Im trying to set up for aluminum welding on the TPS 320i but im definitely doing something wrong. Where can i go for a presets for aluminum setting.
did you work it out in the end? or you still need help?
Hello, what are you using that machine for? How did you pick it over a Miller? I have a TransSteel 2200. Looks like an awesome machine, but super expensive
This is a transteel 2700 that I use for general fabrication. Mainly steel hardwire. I have owned many miller's and it was just something I wanted to try out and I have been happy with it. The price is around $3500 so it's nothing out of the normal.
@@eastech3365 Very cool, thought it was in iWave
Can you get 270 amps maxed out if you run that machine on single phase? I'm on the fence between the 2200 and 2700. I have contacted Fronius and cannot get a straight answer o when I have asked this question. One of their representatives said yes you can weld at 270 with a lower duty cycle. Another representative said you can only get 180 amps on single phase.
I use the split version for work. Oh man, what a badass machine.
Have you ever run the miller 350p with aluma pro push pull?..Im just curious how the Fronius is compared to the miller. thanks
no offence but lincoln and miller are dog shit compared to fronius offerings. no one can touch fronius in the mig/mag area right now@@tstrapper1
Is there any way you could do a more specific video on what's involved here ? I want a F welder so badly. Thanks
Some quick checks that could save some headache. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Nice I have the Dynasty 280DX and while Jody says inverters don't do well with 6010 rods, there is a setting for it on the 280DX also. Haven't tried it yet, just having a blast with Aluminum TIG for now, but I have 50LBS of 6010 waiting....
Only cheap low-end inverters with low closed circuit voltage are unable to run 6010, Dynasty neither cheap nor low end. It runs 6010 pretty well. 6010 requires between 26-30 volts to run well, cheap inverter welders can't provide that high of a voltage.
its a mig welder at the end of the day.. my r tech can do the same thing but for alot cheaper and more reliable
There are tons of stuffs a fronius can do that a r tech would never be possible… 😂
@@Deichwerkstatt mig is a mig.. my machine can weld just as any expensive crap can do and probably better than chinese shit
@@Migman2020 troll on man ! You have no clue.
