I wear many hats in my life and have done more types of jobs than most would believe. But above all else, I am a creative. I also have an extremely positive outlook and truly believe that anything can be achieved. This combination of traits sets me up to really explore why things happen the way they do and --taking that further-- how can I take that understanding to alter the outcome? Many years ago I discovered the joy of teaching. This allowed me to take my dissected understanding of a technique and share it with others in a way they would fully understand.
I LOVE all things fiber! It began with crochet and over the years enveloped spinning, knitting, quilting, weaving, dyeing, embroidery, etc... The only thing better than creating is teaching. In addition to youtube, I offer individual and small group project classes. I have a BFA & MFA in Fine Art with a focus on textiles. And working outside the box is my specialty :O)
I look forward to assisting you on YOUR fiber journey!

Prepping Warp on Warp board
Weavers will often need to measure their warp yarns before putting them on (or dressing) their loom. This can be done on a very basic tool called a warping board. In this video, I show you how I measure and calculate the number of warp yarns I am preparing for a project. I have lots of tips and options so that you can decide what works best for you.

Dressing a loom -front to back
Переглядів 196 тис.8 років тому
This is a video for beginning weavers. It shows step-by-step how to dress (thread) a table loom from front-to-back. Although it is done on a table loom, the same technique is used to dress a floor loom.
