Well okay. I was really hoping for Underwood to be getting a bonded bullet back in the handgun ammunition lineup.

They make interesting ammunition but the one's I bought lack sealant at primer pocket and case mouth, some pictured in video lack nickle plating on the casings. Every major manufacturers top tier self defense cartridges include All 3 of these characteristics and at this price Underwood should include all 3 of these features. I did not re-order after seeing this deficiency.

I’m sure I can look this up but does Underwood make Shotgun Ammunition if not what y’all waiting on! I currently use this ammunition for my EDC in 9 MM also for for my 45/70 Marlin Trapper! I have some High End 2011’s also and underwood ammunition is all I use for self defense! I would like to be a spokesperson for this company as a second job and to get Free Ammunition! At least I’m honest! I only have 4 years to retire at my current job which is Locomotive Engineer for CSX we make decent $ but a part time job will be worth it. To be able to educate my fellow workers and the 2A community about the best defense Ammunition currently made!

Can you provide a more technical statement on what the coating is actually made of, without revealing any proprietary info or trade secrets? It looks to me like a black oxide/Lubalox type, but there are people out there claiming the black coating is literally made of platinum, which surely is not the case? Please get some info out there to dispel the myths!

How is a 115 grain copper projectile lighter than a 115 grain lead projectile?

I use underwood 68 & 90 grain xtreme defender in my G26 (and LCP2 380), no more concern about "am I getting expansion?" with HP

How about non coated hard cast of any maker?

Buy a better gun and you won't have to be concerned with Glocks shortcomings which are many

Caleb, you should have made it crystal clear that not all of Underwood's lead bullets are hard cast. PS: All of my EDC and PD ammo is from Underwood. Some of the bullets in my EDC/PD cartridges are Lehigh solid copper XPs and XDs and some are hard cast.

1400 fps out of a typical 380 is exaggerating, but it's still one spicy meatball.

I have a question. Why no extreme penetrators for the 350 legend? Maybe that's a question for Lehigh defense. Anyway, Underwood ammo is all I use in my carry guns. I'm looking forward to deer season to try out the 350 legend using the 170 gr. Barnes tsx ammo. My rifle loves it. With Underwood you get consistent, accurate loads and they use some of the best bullets on the market. It's priced right too. I've paid much more with other brands that didn't really compare. Underwood ammo is so good I wear their t-shirts. 😊

I’m still concerned with feeding. It seems to me exact bullet would present differently when it hits the feed ramp. One might be on a ridge and the next one might be on a flute. They sound kind of clunky when you manually rack the slide. Am I worrying too much?

The standard pressure is what I carry because the +p makes my lcp max too punchy for my taste but I know this is a velocity dependant projectile, so if you can handle it better than me in your carry gun when actually running drills Id say this is the best 380 money can buy atm. Id love to see underwood test the 9mm +p 68 gr XD tested from a 16" barrel, or honestly for underwood to develop a slower burning 9mm +p PCC load with a lehigh projectile, Im not even kidding Id buy more than I could afford, immediately!
